The title explains it but I'll go into more depth about what's happening. I am trying to install Cyanogen so I flashed the latest version of Twrp for it using Fastboot and it was no problem, when it was done and it said successful I rebooted my phone with Fastboot but when I start it up in recovery mode it gets stuck on the bootlogo. I tried to flash it again but to no success. The phone works just as it should otherwise, does anyone know how to fix this?
I should probably say that I have already rooted it.

Im stuck in a pickle. I tried to update to neutrino 2.8 but got caught in a boot loop. I followed instructions that worked last time and tried to repair my recovery and it wiped the recovery and all other system data, but fastboot wont reboot or install the recovery image it only wipes the and formats. help please
Your details are not that clear. Either you are not using fastbook incorrect, or you have somehow borked the bootloader/
If the latter, you can try using RSDlite to reflash the bootloader. See the threads on how to unlock your bootloder for these steps. This is as close to going back to square one as you can.
BTW, you might also say how you did this. If just using CWM to install zips it is really hard to screw up your recovery.
I am trying to use fastboot to flash a recovery But when i flash the recovery i get
error cannot load recovery
or
waiting on device
But it will sucessfully wipe and format, just not flash or for some reason reboot the phone
I have it figured out to the point where now i try to flash the recovery and it hangs at
Waiting for Device
I tried everything i can think of
reboot
Re-install drivers
re download file
I KNOW I SHOULD POST THIS IN MY NON-EXISTANT DEVICE FORUM,
but there is like no community there and I figured I would get a faster answer here.
I have an LG Mytouch Q C800 and I accidentally applied an OTA update with CWM installed. Since then I have been in a CWM bootloop, unable to boot into normal android. I dont think I can access fastboot or ADB. I have tried reflashing the stock ROM and everything. Can anyone help?

man the same thing happende to me, the only way i could partially recover my phone was flashing clockwork mod and from there install Cianogenmod 9, then in recovery mode conected to the pc via cable and typed:
"adb reboot bootloader"
once in Fastboot mode typed:
"fastboot boot boot.img"
where boot.img is the file contained in the cyanogenmod .zip file, doing this i managed to boot the rom and use my phone, the problem is that anytime it restarts it gets stuck in the boot loop again, and i have to repeat the process for it to boot again, i think is a bootloader problem since i have virtually done anything else, i think that the OTA update from tmobile changes something on the bootloader and it forces recovery/update boot always, and since the OTA never was completed it never got back to it's original state, its´s just my theory, i´m looking into it, but for now my phone works!.
Solution
I found a solution for the lg c800 bootloop, se my post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39453347&postcount=10
I have used LGUP to install software (Nougat) and it's working fine..
I then install TWRP as normal, no issues reported during install (I can see via cmd screen).
I then proceed to reboot to recovery using methods I have been using for months, and it goes to yes, yes selection.
It then doesn't load TWRP but carries on wiping my phone to basics again.
Have tried various methods of putting TWRP on but does anyone think is something to do with Nougat as the bootloader unlocked screen is different, larger text etc
Have now tried a KDZ for marshmallow and recovery still won't go to TWRP.
It's almost like the recovery area is now not accessible?
Any suggestions please?

Hmm strange. Have you tried rebooting using "adb reboot recovery" ?
I would suggest you flash recovery and boot straight into it not allowing the phone to boot into android. So flash recovery, remove battery, then try booting into recovery. Im pretty sure recovery can be lost if you boot into android before flashing SUPERSU (https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/)
But i could be wrong
You have to do the following:
1) Flash the TWRP trouch Fastboot, don't reboot
2) Remove the battery, put it back, don't turn on the phone normally!
3) Use the button combination to enter in recovery
Ok have flashed again and it has "Stuck" this time after pulling battery before reboot so TWRP back!
Now to flash again and chill
Thanks both
Hello everybody!
The last day my phone got stuck on bootloader screen. It just wouldn't boot the OS.
So I tried to fix that by flashing other rom. I have unlocked it trough MiUnlock.
Flashed in fastboot TWRP(rosy) recovery. It could boot TWRP but after a reboot, would launch MiRecovery.
After that the Android didnt start no more. After a new flash of TWRP I was able to enter recovery. I tried to flash a custom rom. After that the VOLUME UP + POWER wouldnt launch recovery no more (Also VOLUME DOWN+UP+POWER buttons, wont boot the Recovery)
Now i found an EDL mode to flash rom through XiaoMiFlash. Did it, Made the steps from tutorials. That, has changed the device to COM10 in MiFlash which let me try different official roms, and i always get the same error message: cannot receive hello packet, MiFlash is trying to reset status!
Also tried too flash a recovery img.
Tried everything i found on that, nothing worked to get those packets...
My only hope was to fastboot flash recovery TWRP or MiRecovery. And then flash new rom to fix my phone.
Tried many version of Twrp, but no success to actually flash.
I have tried removing recovery via adb and flashing another. Logs shows success but no effect on phone.
Still can't acces recovery mode on my phone.
Bootloop stuck. Shows MI logo and that its Unlocked.
Doesnt work flashing via fastboot - TWRP or MiRecovery images.
My phone is bricked for a week now. Please share a solution if you got one.

Good news. finally flashed chinese version through miflash tool.
had to rename some files from rom.
Flashed through BOOTLOADER.
Hello! This is my first thread on the forum;
I'm writing because I think I soft bricked my Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 LTE, let me explain from the very beginning.
It's a brand new device, bought today, and with a custom italian ROM which was sold with.
I just wanted to root it, and the bootloader was already unlocked because it was a custom ROM, so I tried to install TWRP (mocha version for Mi Pad) with Fastboot and then I wanted to install Magisk.
The issue is that, when I tried to flash TWRP to recovery with fastboot flash recovery twrp.img, it all went "OK" but then TWRP was not actually flashed and couldn't boot it with key combinations, it just looked like it wasn't there. I also tried to boot it without flashing, with fastboot boot twrp.img but it gave me
"Failed to load/authenticate boot image: 00000050" error
Looking on the web, I found someone who told to try fastboot flash boot twrp.img and so, without even thinking, I did it.
That's the main issue. I rebooted, and found that TWRP started, but now I couldn't boot my device anymore, because the default boot.img file was replaced by twrp.img. So, practically, TWRP replaced my device's default system (I think?).
Then, I tried to find a stock firmware for Mi Pad 4 (Clover) on the web, and I found it, so I flashed the stock firmware boot.img, fastboot flash boot boot.img, but when I rebooted, the device was stuck in the loading screen with three dots loading over a "Powered by Android" logo. I waited 20 minutes, nothing, it looks stuck, so this stock boot.img doesn't seem to work.
I can actually flash TWRP and that stock boot image both whenever I want and switch between them; the first works, the latter doesn't.
So, in poor words: I flashed twrp.img as boot.img and now I can't boot normally, but TWRP starts when turning on my device.
But I just want to get my default boot.img or system, or any other way to reaccess to my device. That's fine even if I have to hard reset or wipe everything, it's fine even if I am going to lose data, but please, just help me.
Can someone help me? I'm just a newbie in this world, please help me unbricking my device.
Thanks in advance.
Try installing twrp again and boot to it
Download custom rom.of your choice ( im using hovac and it been great for a year now )
Move it to your mipad via comouter
Format everything in twrp and install the rom and gapps
--- I just remembered havin same issue u having and if im not mistaking : u should reboot to recovery right after installing twrp ( you dont reboot to system )
Im not really sure about it cause it happened long time ago
@DanielVipx
Sorry, seems you tried that already. Did you try the mi flash tool?
