This (AT&T M8) section has grown somewhat quiet. But I do try to visit on a regular basis, and help folks.
I see you made a couple posts asking for stock nandroids, which aren't commonly posted for AT&T, since RUUs are readily available. I don't have a source for the ATT stock nandroids, so I therefore did not respond to those posts.
You also posted to XDA Assist about an RUU issue, but when mod asked what device, you never responded.

No bro,
Cause I figured out that cause was didn't installed vcredist 2008
Also it's sad to hear that there aren't active stock nandroid for cws_001 ul_ca
But thanks I've got ruu from above link

Then I would kindly make the following suggestions:
- If someone takes the time to respond to your post, and asks you a question (for info you should have provided in the first place), you should answer; even if you already found the solution.
- If you solved the issue, mark the thread SOLVED so folks don't waste their time trying to help you.
- Post the solution you used, so others with the same issue can read it and benefit.

There is a sticky that explains how yo root. Why don't you try it? I linked it to you in the other thread you created. Why are you making this more difficult than it really is?

Flashed Wrong Kernel Maybe? Help Please!

Hi everyone I am Sean, and I just got my ATT SGS2 Yesterday. I think I followed a rooting guide for the non ATT one. The rooting was successful but my WIFI is down with no MAC Address, also I cannot seem to get any custom rom working.
Is there a way to get the Stock ATT Kernel so I can flash and start over. Is there a rooting guide specificly for the ATT version?
Thanks ahead of time!

If u flashed the wrong kernel, go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1294574. Not trying to be mean, but it took me less then a minute of skimming over the Android development section to find this.
Here is the normal rooting guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301682.

Please read *before* you post a question. There is a lot of information available on the XDA I777 forums. Please read all the stickies in the general section, as well as the library sticky in the development section. You've been on xda-developers for several years and made many posts, so you *should* know the forum rules. People here will be glad to help you if you do your part first, but if you are looking to have your hand held, you will probably get little help.

It's just that your questions are already answered in sticky posts in both the general forum and the development forum. I thought it would be better if you wnet and read the answers there rather than taking the time to write the answers all over again.
You clearly didn't read if you went and flashed something not meant for your device without VERY explicit instructions on what is OK to flash and how to flash it.

Actually as I have already explained I did read plenty, I found nothing in the Q&A Section, which is where a solution to a "Question" should be.
And the Guide I followed which was from XDA never once stated that it was only for the International version. Nor did it say it would not work for the AT&T version.
I have been with this community a long time and have never had someone as rude or unhelpful as you. Please do not reply to posts if you are not helping in anyway.
Even though you may have read threads in the Q&A section, a simple search would have pulled up the IMPORTANT threads taht are located in the Dev section that would have answered your questions... and why are they in the Dev section you ask? Because, when flashing anything to your phone like a rom or kernel, its considered DEVELOPMENT and you would have know that if you would have read.
Now go read some more and search. Thread closed.

Unlocking the bootloader will allow you flash different Custom roms(beta of CM9(ICS) is already out) and kernels.Check the development section for roms and decide if u want to use custom roms or want to stay on the stock.

Actually it was constructive. If you had read the guide per another poster's advice, you would not have then been back asking how to get out of trouble because you chose to ignore the given advice!
There is plenty of good help given and offered on XDA, but it's the people who ignore the help/advice, forge ahead blindly, then expect the forum members to fix their screw ups because now they suddenly choose to listen to the advice who really make it difficult to keep a positive attitude.

So if we follow the reasoning.
Read the post. And if you're wrong, too bad for you.
it is a beautiful spirit.
I prefer to say "to err is human" but we are here to help. The best thing is to learn from mistakes (but I'm sure you've never made a mistake). And I must say thanks to those who helped me. I will not make the same mistake.
I can even help those who have made the same mistake without insulting them.
And the kind of comments like yours do not learn.
Now I think the discussion can't stop there! And as we say at home: "A bonne entendeur salut!"
Galadiel, I don't believe that is what happened here. The way this conversation unfolded, your messages started off asking a philosophical question "Why is it desired to unlock the bootloader?" and very quickly turned into "Help, I tried it but something went wrong." From your description, the specific problem you had is a well-documented issue that is described in the instructional link you were given to read, including how to fix it.
There are a lot of people trying to modify their phones. That's why the tutorials exist. Your posts sounded dismissive of the help offered to you, and not surprisingly, you got some annoyed responses in return.
----------
Okay then. Are you still having the "Failed to boot" screen appear after flashing the .sbf file with RSD Lite? Have you resolved your situation, or do you still need help?

Why are you sending PM's, we have forum, there are smarter people here and will solve your problem faster if more of us discuss about it.
First you said that you have problems with keyboard, then you said you followed this instructions: http://theunlockr.com/2012/10/08/how-to-root-the-sony-ericsson-xperia-neo-mt15i/
On those instructions I only see how to root your phone, which includes flashing MT11i kernel.
Now hear this. If you said all this info before, you would get your solution by now.
Flashing MT11i kernel on MT15i gives that error. And I would have told you that if you gave all the info you have. And no need to go around the web for instructions, everything you need is here, if you had checked this (sticky) thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690 you would noticed that flashing only kernel cause errors.
For start flash your phone with correct fw, to solve your initial question, then go on next exhibitions
And please use forum, it will be faster
