What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices. The ROM will now also feature a White Indigo theme for all the ROM (framework, Settings and so on) and of course the newest Xperia Applications ported from the SystemDumps provided by the Sony community.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP.
Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

Sry about the vagueness. When initially setting up the phone after flashing the rom, Gapps, and Xapps when entering any text, the keyboard only shows the microphone button like when using voice dictation on google keyboard. Tried to skip the setup but it loops back to weather you want to use data to set up the phone from skipping google sign in.

If you get an error message when flashing GApps you're probably running out of space in your /system partition. It is recommended to have 1GB to fit the ROM and the GApps ( The stock partition table has 512mb for /system). This thread has a good guide for repartitioning and this one has a great tool for repartitioning without Odin.
It comes with Cyanogen Recovery by default, if you don't like it you can flash alternative recoveries using IsoRec.

First time installing XOSP based to your phone, or coming from another ROM?
Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked and you're running the latest TWRP
Download latest build and latest GApps (Open pico gapps recommended)
Reboot recovery
Wipe data factory reset
Flash latest XOSP
Flash GApps
Reboot and profit! (First boot takes time and boot animation is a bit scary, don't worry it's not a boot loop )
Upgrading from earlier release or revision of XOSP:
Download latest build and latest GApps
Reboot recovery
Flash latest XOSP
Flash GApps
Wipe cache and dalvik
Reboot and profit!

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normally use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices so from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn add-ons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in standby till I decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
Based on CM 13.0
Removed many unnecessary apps and stuff as well as CM ones

Should I flash the latest vendor image?
yes
Hello there!
I already discussed with you on Hangouts about maintaining the ROM for angler... We already have a person who was building it for already a week and testing it before releasing (Me also and my team were talking to him) So i wanted him to be the official maintainer of XOSP for this device. It's nothing personal here but i think he stayed a bit more on the ROM than you before releasing it. And i know that this is a sort of competition to compile and releasing a ROM and maintain it before someone else but he is team mate so i want him. Also before releasing anything you should ask everytime the team on the community if someone else was doing compilations for a specified device ... This is how it should be done.
Interesting ROM, Question; Is there plans for fixing the battery percentage alignment?
It boots up with no keyboard lol and no home screen
