Hi,
I just updated from kitkat to MM. I have installed TWRP first and made a backup. After that, i could never see my sd card again in TWRP.
Now most of the apps can't find my sd card anymore.
Some do though. They can access the data, but then if you look for the card in the app it's not there.
Now I found out that this is the path to the SD card :
storage/9C33-6BBD
But some apps simply dont work with that path and say i have no sd card.
Solid explorer identifies it as the external sd card.
Why is that and what can I do about it?
Thanks

I'm on UnNamed 1.3.1, with an 8GB SD Card in there (a 32gb is on my x-mas list).
I go into the settings to try and move things to my SD card, I click on the move, but it doesn't actually move them. Whether they're listed as installed on the phone or on SD Card, it still resides on the phone memory.
If my internal memory is full, it tells me my sd card is full.
The camera app stores the photos on my sd card just fine, so the phone is seeing the external sd...
Halp?
bro, the same thing happened to me. the internal storage on your phone is also called an SD Card. So usually when Android refers to the SD Card, it means its internal storage. I use Astro file manager to move things, there's 'SD Card' and then 'ext_SD Card'. You can copy/paste from one to the other in there, it's really easy.
For some reason cwm does not see my ext micro sd card. I placed a custom rom on it and when go to install the Rom it does not see the sd card, it just sees the internal sd card. Root explore does not see the sd card either. Only app that sees it ous Astro. Anyone else have this problem.

Root Explorer does see the card, you just need to go to the /mnt folder.
For CWM? You need to actually put the rom on the internal storage. Our version of CWM does not support the external card right now. In the future? Yes, most likely.

Ok thank you very much, I did find the external card on in root explorer. And I will place my roms on the internal sd card.
I think I have the latest cwm installed. its the v5 one, and i can use my external sd card. However my problem is that when i go to make a backup it says no sd card found and then no ext sd card found. but when it finishes the backup it is in fact located on my external sd card, but the file name is weird its not the current date but like some 1970s date.
Anybody else having this as well?
I was attempting to root my Alcatel 9007t tablet, so I could move apps to my SD card, unsuccessfully.
So I ended up following some instructions and ended up emulating an SD card on my internal, or something or the other
It renamed my actual SD card to something else
So now, I have rooted my phone, I believe, but using link2sd card I can now move my apps, but I get an error on a certain few apps.
I can't link the data, or what have you, to the SD card, and I think its because of this emulated SD storage
Regardless, I would like to remove the emulated SD storage, and rename my SD card to something normal.
Getting to root this thing was difficult, so I would not want to start this whole thing over.
Or if I could get link2sd to link my data to my SD card , that would be excellent.
I am moderate noob so pls hlp
Footnote: no I cannot link to SD thru my storage settings, maybe is there somehow I can do that. I just want to link or move app data to SD card. This is from a downloaded apk that is making kit difficult. The app seemed to install to SD card, but the data is on the emulated SD on the internal
Halp
You will have issues as apps are not made to be on the sdcard and some apps even block the option.

OK but my tablet is rooted now and I can do it mostly with no problem.
I just want to rename and unemulate false SD card on internal and get it back to normal
I have a Moto E 2014 (condor) in which I installed Lineage 14.1 a while back. I want to use my SD card as internal memory. However:
1. If I migrate data from internal to SD card, the apps on the SD card doesn't work at all. There would be no point doing so.
2. If I don't migrate data from internal to SD card, the apps installed on external will work very well, but I cannot access the SD card in any way. Even if I have 16 GB memory card, only the 2.2 GB internal card is accessible in file explorers and when connecting to PC.
3. If I use the SD card as a portable device, all apps will be installed only in internal, so there wont be enough space for all apps.
4. I wanted to use Link2sd as before, but no matter how many times I partition the card, Link2sd won't recognize it.
Please help me.

I only wanted to be a bit more specific on this issue. It's the one thing that's buggy, otherwise this OS is perfect.

after migrating the data from internal storage to adopted sd card, move apps manualy from external storage to internal storage, somo apps are too buggy on this device, because the sd card reader doesn´t have too much speed of read and write

Then there would be no point in using external as internal storage. The very reason I want to do so is to install apps in external. About speed, it worked fine with Link2SD before, so pretty sure it's the OS that is bugged.
