Is it me, or is gapless playback of music not working since updating to 6.0.1? I only noticed the issue a few weeks ago. I've tried both the stock Samsung Music app, as well as Google Play Music, and in both cases I clearly hear a gap/pause/glitch between consecutive tracks. It used to work perfectly.

Ive been searching all over the forums and the few threads Ive found asking this question do not really give any answers and all seem to be very old, like 2010 old. What I need to be able to do is have music playing on the music player and then take video without the music stopping. I dont care about sound quality in the recording, I can remaster later if needed. The problem I have is that I only have one device for both playing music and capturing video and there is a specific place and a specific time where I want to take a video of the moment, while also being able to hear the music that matches that moment. Is there any way I can force the music player to stay on during video capture? The video itself will not need sound to be recorded at all, but if it could capture the music in the video, that would be nice too.
I managed to do this with gingerbread 2.3.5 using stock camera and mixzing player.
I also can do that now with my ICS 4.0.4 (cm9), stock camera and mixzing player.
It also works on 4.0.4 with stock mp3 player and CameraZoomFX.
Record video while playing music
Hello, I am running ViperOne 4.3 now and I absolutely love it. I was wondering if any one else is able to record video while playing music as prior to this (locked, not rooted, and stock 4.3) I was able to do so. I did not check this with 4.4 but then again it only lasted 1 day on my phone before I found this amazing rom.
Anyways, if anyone has figured this out or if it could be added to future updates please let me know!!
Thanks,
Has anyone else run in to random audio skipping? Sometimes I open up Google Music, or another music player, and inexplicably get skips in every song I play.
It seems the only player immune to this is the stock player.

Have you tried poweramp/player pro while setting priority to high or something of the sort?

i have had this problem as well....it went away on JB...but jellybean has had other quirks....less annoying but....i did not have it on stock ICS...stock had messaging issues....audio skipping had to go so i have settled on JB.....the quirks for JB have been video and call related...video stutters(minor) and calls not connecting(it took a month to manifest)
Hey guys, a couple of days ago I just found out that my native music app wouldnt play the music on my phone. It doesn't even show the EQ moving while the song is play. It just sits there. Youtube and any other sound playback is fine but for some reason the music player isnt playing back any of my songs. Anyone experience this or know of any suggestions?
Hi xda!
I have a weird question that i haven't been able to find the answer for so I thought I'd ask here. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, SM-925V, android version 5.0.2, rooted with stock rom. I have had this phone for at least 2 months and this problem just started happening:
My phone randomly pauses video and audio for no reason. For example I was watching Netflix last night in bed with nothing touching the screen. The phone's just sitting there and pauses playback. This is not a streaming issue,
This is what I've figured out so far:
1) I didn't touch the edges to accidently pause playback. The phone was just sitting there with nothing around its edges. Also, since it pauses audio playback while the screen is off, it can't be that
2) It's not a streaming issue, since it also has the same effect with locally stored videos and audio, like MX Player, and it also pauses audio playback on Mort Audio Book Player and Play Music when the screen is off.
3) The only apps I recently installed were Reddit and Imgur apps, can't see how they'd cause a conflict. I have also not updated my phone after which it would have started causing these errors.
Does anyone have any ideas?

You could perform a bug report and a log cat. Both of those could give you clues as to what could be going on. Just make sure you don't share the bug report.
Hi all
wonder if anybody could help me, i just recently upgraded to a samsung galaxy s6 edge and iv put all my music onto the google play music app. Now i went out the other day and played music on my headphones whilst walking to work. the music was perfect no problem. anyway later that same day i played music through the speaker and it started fine but then after a few seconds just started to stutter/distort. when it did that i was streaming the music over 4G via the music app. so i tried a youtube video. same again it started fine then few seconds after started to stutter.
when im outside if i shake the phone whilst playing music it causies it to stutter as well, but it seems to play fine on wifi via headphones and speaker -
am i guessing its a 4g problem or isit a speaker problem.
Yeah, I'm having the same issue...
