hi to all
I new here and also in android world. I own Alcatel (Telenor) One Touch 990 model. And I have done rooting and other tweaks. But after some roms I have problem now. I cat boot my device anymore and also I cant write system.img to /system folder on internal memory Its give me errors about bad blocks on /system partition. So my question is about formating (normal formating do nothing about cleaning partition its still 86% used no mather what I done) or removing that bad blocks. Please help me.
First of all, I wanna thank all who may contribute to solve this problem, or just by simple reading. Thank you so much. Now then, the problem.
I have an Itouch (brand) 701 (model) tablet running rockchip 312x, 8 gb of rom, 1 gb ram, @ 1.2 ghz, double usb (one is a micro-usb), mini hdmi device. Since I wanted to modify the partitions of the user and userdata (due to have 1 gb of internal storage and 5.6 aprox gb of external storage) I backuped all the partitions so now I have the parameter and partitions saved on my PC. After that I modified the parameter file so I can resize the userdata and user (internal and external) partitions and then install bigger apks and games and stuff. I made the maths and resized the partitions with the parameter file only, flashed all again with the new hex values, and made a data and cache format so the changes can take effect. The problem was that the external partition could not be mounted anymore, and everytime I tried to mount it from the android menu it appears "the nand storage can be safely removed". Thinking that the problem may be in the \dev\vold\31:8 I made the following via adb:
adb shell
su
cd .\dev\vold\31:8
mkdosfs -F 32 \dev\vold\31:8
That gave me as a result an encrypted partition: I rebooted the device and after it booted, it requested me a password to unlock the partition. Flashed all again, and removed that lock but the user partition (the external storage) still keeps unmounted.
Any help will be very thankful.
Hello everyone!
I tried installing the latest fastboot ROM on a RN2 QCOM, and MiFlash fails with an error that it is unable to format a partition.
After booting into TWRP, I see that /data partition says size is 0MB, usage and free space also 0MB and it is unable to mount it. The other partitions are fine(though I can't find the EFS partition for the IMEI files). Previously running Hexagon ROM and TWRP 3020.
Is this is a flash storage issue or can I somehow reformat/fix it? Any help regarding partitioning and backing up my IMEI somehow would be highly appreciated!
Thank you
There is no Qualcomm variant of the Redmi Note 2 and "dior" is the Redmi Note 1.

Hello everyone, I have a RN3P 3gb / 32gb, kenzo, I changed my ROM to XENONHD and my device only recognizes internal 16gb, I've already gone to miui for the miflash and it did not work, can you help me? :crying:
Try formatting your data partition in TWRP, then flash Official MIUI in EDL mode. Make sure to boot into MIUI so it creates the correct storage allocation and then flash your custom roms.
All you may need to do is format Data with TWRP, but if that doesn't work try the above.
Currently, my phone goes to "encryption unsuccessful" screen. It happen because the userdata partition was not formated, the problem is, my phone storage only have 4gb, while the firmware is about 8gb, is it the emmc broken ? but i still can flash the phone normally
Now my phone storage have free space about 450 MB, and i decide to make my own userdata partition to make my phone work again (maybe), it is possible ? Sorry before for my bad english
