Kernel Adiutor KCAL Color Profiles - OnePlus 2 General

Hello Guys
I just want to share a piece of information about KCAL color profiles. If you are using Kernel Aduitor with a custom kernel that has KCAL feature in it, this thread will be useful to you.
Please feel free to try the different color profiles and enjoy.

Which profile will give an Amoled display feel?

I made all the profiles for ex kernel manager. I really do recommend these:
Obsanity
Perfection
OnePlus 2 (default)
Deep Black Colorful (close to Galaxy S4 amoled imo)
Some are very over-saturated and others under-saturated. Not sure why you would like that.

Is there any profile for tweaking for maximum battery life .?

Turn down brightness. Do not use apps that disable pixels

Deep Black is the only one I've tried so far, and I'm pretty satisfied in my Redmi Note 3 pro. I do notice my screen needs to be brighter though, so it might effect my battery. Wish the whites could be a little crisper (less bluish)...

You can reduce your screen resolution in Terminal emulator with:
su (give root rights)
wm size "resolution" (e.g. 1280x720) DON'T CLOSE TERMINAL NOW
wm density "DPI" (find corresponding dpi here)
Now u only have to change the density to your choosen value in "/system/build.prop" with any text editor.
Results are that you can downclock/-volt GPU, CPU, disable swap (your ram won't be filled with 720p/480p graphics) which will save a lot of battery but still a fluent ui.

Somewhere on the oneplus forums, a person calibrated it using a calibration device. I use that for a very long time now

Setting up Auto brightness for nAa MiniCM7 X10 MP

Ok, I haven't seen a topic on how to get this working, so I decided why not put this up. Mods you can remove this thread if it's already there or move it to the correct section (would help more people If it were in the X10 MP Development forum).
First off I should say I own 3 X10 Mini Pros with nAa's MiniCM7 2.2.0 with his kernel and that's what this guide is for. I have not tested this on any other device!
Auto brightness & keyboard lights work fine without any third party solution. The only problem I have (which happens rarely), is that the kb light doesn't come up after unlocking the phone and locking it right after then unlocking it again using the keyboard. And to fix that, just get the phone in some light to reset the sensor and bam it's working again, so that's no biggie. I think that's just a bug from the ROM itself since it happens on all 3 devices.
To get Auto Brightness working:
1. Goto Settings > Display > Brightness > Enable Automatic Brightness
2. Goto Settings > CyanogenMod Setting > Display > (I have ultra brightness disabled) > Automatic backlight >
Light sensor filter > Disabled
(Important ) Use Custom > Enabled
Edit Other levels:
Code:
Lower Upper Screen Buttons Keyboard
0 3 41 255 255
4 15 81 255 255
16 63 143 255 255
64 249 186 255 255
250 infinity 255 0 0
You can adjust the screen levels to your liking. Ranges 0-3 are in low light situations and 250-infinity is for bright (eg. outdoors) situations. You can also adjust the levels for keyboard to your liking (0 = off, 1-255=on). Leave the values for buttons at 255.
Allow light decrease > Disabled
Alternative:
An alternative to for fixing the keyboard lights (Just the Kb lights only, not auto brightness) is using D4rKn3sSyS' Kfix 2.3.
Just install that, turn the light levels all the way up and bring the light sensitivity all the way down (to the left), then adjust to your liking.
I don't use D4's Kfix since I have everything working fine without it. This is just for others who want to try fixing with a 3rd party solution.
Hit "Thanks" if I helped.

I have the levels for keyboard to just turn on in when is almost in darkness, and not on full (255) and is working flawless. why do you say that mustn't be adjusted?
Please do not quote whole posts. You answered directly to the posts above yours. That is without any sense.
Or do you always repeat all the things your discussion partner said?
@anancr Any value from 1-255 is acceptable to make the lights turn on, what I meant was to not change the value to zero (which will turn the lights off). Hope that clarified it.
Hit thanks if this thread helped!
Thanks! That worked for me!
Thanks ! Also worked
Thank you, worked for me too!

[APP] Increasing viewing angles and better contrast

Do you feel annoyed with SP bad viewing angle?
I HAVE A SOLUTION FOR YOU!!
FEATURE:
- Improved viewing angles
- Yellowish screen colour vanish and changing into white (like IPS panel)
- Very good in low light usage
HOW TO:
- Download screen filter on Playstore (free)
- Open it and set to 48%-50%
- Tilt your phone and enjoy better viewing angles!
DISCLAIMER:
- May decrease maximum screen brightness. Solution: turn off screen filter or reduce value
- Eating light ram, about 3-10 mb only
- Don't use very low value or you will suffer very low brightness and cannot see anything!
CONS:
- Decreasing in screen contrast
- A few unnatural colours
Cheers
What an interesting app. It makes colors a little bit less natural, but it indeed impproves viewing angles and it's perfect for when I use the phone at nights. Certainly something I missed from stock roms.
Thanks for sharing.

Remove yellowish display tint on your Redmi 3S/X/Plus/Prime

Hi there, most people are having yellowish tint (mostly on EBBG variant of display) on display which makes the screen look bad. Here's how you can fix it
In MIUI:
Go to Settings > Colors and saturation > Set temperature to cool
In other custom roms:
Go to Settings > Live Display > Color Calibration
Set red and green to 96% each , leave blue to 100%
That's it, Enjoy
Explanation : The RGB value of yellow is 255,255,0
So the more you'll decrease the value of red and green(together), the more yellowish tint of your display would vanish

Color calibration profile

One of the main lacks of this handset is its display, to be more specifically its colour calibration. I switched the kernel in order to have more control over screen parameters, is there app or resource to help me configuring the screen calibration?
For me,
Red 245
Green 245
Blue 255
Saturation down by 10%

Screen turns to green/matte after waking up the phone

As title says. Suddenly my phone started to turn to green/matte/muted without contrast and very faint colours. Takes a while, like 4 or 5 minutes, but it goes back to normal while doing some kind of vsync (you can see how it forces the grey scale back to normal as some kind of vsync error). Some icons with pure black background appear with the proper contrast and colours (!!!) and If I switch auto brightness to off doesn't happen [UPDATE: now it's permanent] - No root, updated to last 2022 march patch.
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: after 12 hours of partial use I've identified the green tint behaviour, it happens when the light sensor tries to adapt the screen brightness. If low = perfect colours, if high = perfect colours. All the in between = green tint.
