Krexus-CAF is what the name implies. The Krexus unique combination of mods, on top of a clean uptodate and latest CAF source.
Built mainly of top of AOSP-CAF (with permission) and using only what's necessary from all the other great non-nexus device supporting ROMs (CyanogenMod, Dirty Unicorns, AOSPB, Tesla etc), Krexus-CAF tries to provide the maximum compatibility possible with CM-based device trees while keeping a small ROM base.
Lead Developer: @KreAch3R
About Krexus:
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.

Hardware key config has not been added yet, since this is supposed to be a Nexus rom, and Nexus don't have that. Same goes for navbar toggle, it will be added now that we are bringing up the oneplus devices. I am not the lead dev here like on GZR roms, so i can not just push stuff

okay but for now you cant view recents without xposed so we have to wait :-O thank you for answer
Waht is oneplus doze?
Which camera app recommended for this ROM? I have oppo camera. When I take photo with front camera the photos are upside down..Also there are lot of grains when we take photos using rear camera..pls this is not a compliant just my observation..the ROM feels good..like the minimalistic approach..

Hi Martin, thanks for building such an awesome looking ROM, couple of suggestions between the big kings on the community right now.
Between Darkobas most recent build and Sultans most recent build being the 16th I think,
Camera comparisons, I believe using Sultans Camera (average shutter, great quality) would be a great way to go, compared to Darkobas' (quick shutter, not as good quality) so if you could get your hands on that would be awesome.
The screen is absolutely beautiful and well lit with a superb color match on the new sultan build as well, if you could get that on here that would be astounding.
I'm not trying to fanboy, just giving suggestions, sorry if I sound rude/intrusive.
Being AOSP, with CAF kernel, this should provide greater battery life then most roms out there. Will definitely keep an eye on this ROM.
Really like the idea behind the DozeOnePlus, that's pretty freaking awesome!
Testing this out and love how smooth and basic it is will give a battery report soonish. Is there anyway to add a camera apk to it.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
@martinusbe kudos man!! what a rom!! i haven't used such a decent rom with so much features, debloated and yet such an awesome battery backup in a long time
just one request, if you could add an option to disable hardware keys backlight.. thanks again! peace
edit: just read the recent posts and it is yet to be added.. got it

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op

These are not device specific bugs so it will be fixed eventually in the sources
Features stated in OP will roll out slowly after the guys at vanir stabilise most devices and have more time to backport features
BTW guys, there is MultiROM support in my unofficial builds, meaning, you can use it as your 1st ROM
Wait what!
Vanir? Awesome
Themes a bit more flakey than other ROMs. Settings fell over quite a few times. Need to change DPI for landscape nav bar.
Adaptive brightness works well.
Liking the choice for another primary in multirom.

I transitioned from LiquidSmooth to this and I'm feeling it... The BT issue i had with Liquid is no more. But I hope you can apply the camera workaround in a future build because its not working yet...also, is there a adblock option hidden in the settings somewhere?, some ads are breaking thru.

*Welcome to Tipsy OS*
This is something Martin Coulon (@martinusbe) started in his 'free' time when waiting for GZR Validus or Tesla builds and having some drinks.
He just started with a slim base; on lp and early mm, and now using AOSPB as a base (wich Martin is also a part of)....then added what we thought useful.
It grew up to be a fully functional Rom
The main goal is to keep it AOSPB/Slim based and will not add any cm features unless AOSPB/Slim does.
TipsyOS is Black and Yellow default themed, we don't like white UI, so it may look a bit weird on light switch,
but heh! use layers to suit it your needs =)
We are a team wich is constantly learning and ...drinking because both gets along so well hahaha
Just report the bugs and request features, we'll see what we can do!.......
And don't get it twisted, its not because we're Tipsy that this project is not a serious one, try it and judge by yourself
My builds are compiled with UBER toolchains 5.3 on both rom and kernel code. it gives pretty good battery life as of now....

I saw GZR on Google+. I've used some of their ROMs in the past and to comment it's invite only. I've submitted a request and it's been like 7 weeks and it's been neither approved or denied, and I couldn't comment or give feedback so I stopped using their ROMs as there's no way to communicate. Not sure how often the requests get reviewed but I thought I'd just give you a heads up.
Finally someone else who loves boozing as much as custom ROM's.
Cheers, will def download this now.

DEVICE DISCLAIMER:
I DON'T OWN THE DEVICE. TESTING ON THE SPECIFIC DEVICE WILL BE LIMITED TO TESTERS
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. And lastly, this is first and foremost a ROM about Nexus 5 (hammerhead). This is my personal device, this is where I test the ROM. angler, bullhead, flo, mako, SHAMU builds are provided AS-IS. With that in mind, I have to say that the google+ community has been flashing shamu builds for a looong time and hasn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd share it here, too.

@KreAch3R I'm glad you left the double tap to wake feature in. To be honest, I like this feature when it is automatically included in the ROM rather than have to try and either find a custom kernel or use kernel auditor.

That was the reason I wanted to leave it in, too. Krexus tries to never deviate from stock, only fix/include necessary stuff. I'm glad it works well now, it seems that I was missing some commits on the device tree, but I found them after @BeansTown106 let me know about them.
This is one of the best stock rooted ROMs out and runs great. Thank you for bringing it to us here on XDA.

This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.[/SPOILER]

Device specific F.A.Q.:
Q: Why Horsebox?
A: BECAUSE HORSES
Q: Why is there an older securtity patch than Google released?
A: CAF is one month behind with the security patches, don't ask me why.
Q: Download link doesn't work?
A: Works flawless here. Try in incognito mode or a different browser.
Q: Custom Kernel/Xposed ?
A: I don't recommend. If you flash it, you're on your own.
Q: No Navigation Bar?
A: Hardware keys rebinding will be in next release.
Temporary workaround : Add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the end of build.prop . Save ,exit and Reboot.
I am really proud to publish this rom finally, It is smoothest experience so far.

Thank you @Vatsal. I've been hoping for a nice stock AOSP rom for my OPX. Came from the Nexus line & used to flash customized ROMs for features. But L/M have such a great base to work with! So... thanks & I'm off to install on our household's two OPXs.

Does it have the same GPS bug as CM13?
Wi-fi not working on Benschold/kernels based on it.
Other than that, love the rom! I'm gonna see if I can find a way to resolve the wi-fi problem.

GPS working fine here.. Not 1 issue with it. Faster GPS lock than on Oxygen (at least for me) and since it's AOSP based I would assume it is absent.

Boeffla is also CM13 based, works fine on the rom. This is the only AOSP based rom I've tried where benschold doesn't work.
I'm gonna try to pull out the wifi stuff from it.

I know. I just assumed the issue was because the rom was AOSP based but who knows. But if you do get anywhere with it be sure to let me know. Can send me a PM so we don't clutter the thread.

Notification slider settings does nothing and reset to default when I leave the menu.
Also I find no option for Sim 2 ringtone.
Sometimes at screen transitions the screen glitches.
Clean install, Pico open gapps

I can't vouch for SIM 2 as I only use 1 ... I've not seen any flickering but the alert slider, while it functions, customizing the settings do not stick for me either. Not sure what kind of log could be used for that since there's no visible errors.. the only issue I have is the text in some places seems too dark? If you switch to the dark theme you can barely see the secondary text.. like it's black on slightly lighter black...
Hello, compass won't work,, slider customization change as no effects, long press home button not launch google now, sim 2 not use lte only 2g, somes network modes isn't hide for my sim operator. data usage show only one sim.
