I've heard a little bit of static'y noise when the touching the screen or going between apps occasionally (very pronounced with dealing with charging and aux in car). I still am experiencing it even when not charing, very subtle, but noticeable. Seems like it fixes itself when an audio app is selected, but otherwise can occasionally hear the static sound when interacting with the touch or capacitive buttons.
Anyone else hear some of this occasional static?

I experience this exact problem as well.

Turn off audible touch tones in settings.
I had this same problem, and am pretty sure it's just the audio file that Android uses when it plays the audible touch tones. The sound file that is used has to play the audible touch tones when touching the screen has an extra second or two of no sound that is only noticeable when using an external speaker source through the headphone jack. This is the "static" you are hearing.

But this doesn't address the root cause. Any sound causes this hissing or static noise. It is more like audio is activated when a tone is played, and gets deactivated a second or two later after the tone finishes, and the hiss is heard in the interim. This can be heard any time audio is activated, when connected by headphone or external speaker, and most noticeable when the source audio is low or silent.
This was a problem with the Skyrocket too. Hopefully, it's a software problem that can be addressed.
Yup....skyrocket suffers from this too

Same problem here too

Yep... same here... particularly bad when waiting for a video to start while it's hooked up to any speaker/car system that used the 3.5mm jack.
Just wondering if anyone else when recording video has a snowy or rainy like noise in the background. Try recording a video in a quiet room and for some reason when you play it back there tons of static even though there is no noise in the room at all.
This is a hardware problem.

So, I've noticed that whenever I'm recording videos of jam sessions and other loud performances... an audio issue comes up
It seems as if it's some sort of automatic gain control / noise reduction / frequency filtering effect kicking in and out
The result is everything will sound very clear for a while... then suddenly all the high frequencies will cut out, and it will be muffled for the next bit... then they'll cut back in and it will be as if nothing happened...
I'm wondering if there's a way to control this, or turn off whatever auto filtering is kicking on?
Anyone have an ideas about this?
So I just bought a cheat headset 30$, and it has a weird problem, that in the beginning of any song it makes clicking noise in both sides and then start, and that happens in the drops when there's no sound and comes back, the noise isn't that bad but it's just annoying, is there a solution for this? If not is there any app that can send a constant low sound so it doesn't cut out? Coz it seems to happen when the voice cuts and back
Hi everyone.
Just got my Edge 40 Pro and made a few calls on it, noticed a mediocre sound quality.
In-call sound is muffled and there's a general lack of clarity to it.
WhatsApp voice messages suffer from the same issue.
Problem is both on earpiece and speakerphone mode.
Also noticed that the network tones - the beeps you hear before the called person answers the phone - are unequal in length, one is short, the next one is long, and they have a reverb-like noise.
Other media like YouTube or Spotify is unaffected; in fact it's crystal clear.
Can anyone relate on this?
All things considered, I'm thinking there's some badly tweaked "audio enhancement" at work here.
Network operator is Iliad Italy.
Thank you
