hi..recently i bought the prime 7 from vodafone...it looks a nice phone fo my taste,,for what i use it for..but i got a problem...the sd card doesnt appear when i cable it with lap top so i cant put in sd card a song or a movie...is anyone knows about this...ity to root it but i cant..normally i could root all previews phones....someone who got the same problem and know what is going on?thank u very much

Hi i own a SE Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) it came with version 2.3.3 and i upgraded to 2.3.4, i also recently bought a new 32GB memory and i inserted it in and the phone is not rooted.
And now my problem is:
when i insert music in the phone the phone tells me it cannot playback the song... also when i take a picture i review it, its ok but after a while like 2 mins the picture becomes corrupted. and sometimes the phone also deletes my apps, or loses them when i transfer the app to my SD drive.
What I already did:
- formatted the SD drive (stay with same problem)
- factory restored the phone (stay with same problem)
- i re-downloaded and installed the android version 2.3.4 (stayed with the same problem)
- send the songs with bluetooth (it plays the songs but then tells me i cant send anymore things on bluetooth due to storage issues...
- try sending the pictures and music throught USB (cant read the files corrupted and later on it deletes the files on the SD drive)
Conclusion:
- when the phone was in version 2.3.3 it worked fine and when i updated and changed the sd drive... everything went wrong
so it could be the SD drive or the Update to 2.3.4 wasnt good...
So i wanted to know if someone could help me...
I THOUGHT OF GOING BACK to version 2.3.3.... if anybody can give me instructions on how to do that please or a link to that instructions.... or if someone knows the problem and have a solution for it please really need your help thanks alot.

Where did you buy the 32 gb card??? Maybe its fake and that is why dont work Fine... Or it work Fine with 2.3.3???

i bought it in holland... at a turkish shop... nope didn't test it when it was 2.3.3.... you could have a point there i will give it a try tonight when i come back from the library.... and i will post my reply about it.....

Well the fake cards look exactly as a original one , another thing you can do its buy a adapter where you can insert the sd and use it like a usb in the computer, if the problem its still there, the most probable reason its like you buy a fake one , generaly this cards have only 2 gb of capacity and dont come in a retail pack,

I have just bought Sandisk 32GB ultra Micro SDHC card for my Dell Streak 5 and installed few apps on it, now when I turn the phone on in the morning it keeps restarting 4 or 5 times till I take the battery out, then when I turn it on it shows under the SD card Capacity in Settings Total space 0.0, available space 0.0
When I press UNMOUNT then I press MOUNT I get a message Blank SD card or unsupported file system and while I’m reading this message my phone restarts.
But when I switch off the phone and take the SD card out and put it back in again it works fine and it shows the card capacity 29.7GB and it shows all the files are still on it, also whenever I put in my laptop it recognize it and I can see all the files.
This card was bought from a famous website in the UK and it is genuine, I just don’t want to keep taking the card out every morning before I use the phone and I find it too much hassle.
The Phone is running on official Froyo Dell Streak 2.2 Rom
Please tell me if this is a bug or not and if there is a fix for it.

maybe the connection between the card and the card slot is a bit loose.. try attaching a piece of paper on the card and insert it into the slot...
Also maybe try letting the Streak format the card

Just a quick update, I still have the same problems, I even sometimes get a message saying Damaged SD Card and the screen keeps blinking, but I have just done a final format using the SD Formatter program and it is working fine because there is absolutely nothing on the card, it looks like when I install any program it behaves bad, I don't know what to do.

So, tonight I was sitting here on my lunch break and thought I'd try something I've never tried. I have my dock with me (usually leave it at home) and decided to connect my HTC Vivid (Android 4.0.3) to my Prime's USB. When I did the phone asked if I wanted to just charge or mount as a disk drive. I told it disk. Anyway, I went into file manager it is not listed at all, not even as an SD card. I tried File Manager HD and the same thing. No notification came in as to let me know if an SD card has been inserted like it does when I put an SD card in the SD card slot of the dock. Is there a setting or some other parameter that needs to be changed on the Prime or phone? What I was going to do is transfer some pictures over to the Prime. Anybody have an answer?

Oh ya, I tried it with USB debugging on and off on both devices.
I was putting music on my P769 and when I tried playing the new music, it would say it was a unsuppoorted format, it wasnt, it was a mp3. I tried other songs that I knew that would play and none of them worked. I then restarted th app and a song would play but once I tried another song it would do the unsupported format message again. I then restarted the phone, the phone then gave me the message in the notification area saying "Blank SD Card or Unsupported file system." I then tried mounting it, with no avail, it still wont work. I then factory reseted my phone and formated the SD card, and still that same message comes up. Also, before(and after) the restart, I would try to unlock the phone by pressing the power button the screen would start t turn on but automatically shut off, or it would go to a "snow" screen, but grey. Please help I need the SD card because of this phone's microscopic amount of memory!
I forgot to add that I tried the SD card in another phone and I had the same issue...
Get a new SD card. I had similar problems with my 32gb card when I got the phone. Bought a new class 10 16gb card and it works flawlessly.

Mine is a 32gb too... I'm glad I got a good deal on it...
I did hear of other people fixing it... Or just restarting their phone multiple times... But the other problems happened right after... I was thinking that it may have been something malicious?

I got the 32gb card for like $9 on black Friday around the same time I got the phone. It was flaky right from the start, but worked in my laptops card reader. Made me think it was something with the phone. It eventually stopped working in my card reader as well. Pickup a good class 10 card and everything should be fine.

So just so we're clear, can you put the card in an SD card reader and transfer files to it from a PC? Can you play files off of it through an SD card reader to a PC (or another non-Android device)?
I'm far from an expert, but maybe try breaking the card into separate partitions with something like MiniTool Partition Wizard. The card might be formatted in a way that the phone isn't familiar with. There are a few other threads on the forums that can help suggest what kind of partition would be best for your needs.
I have a 32GB SD card, and it took me a long time of messing with this damn phone to get it to do what I wanted. Card would disappear, messages about "insufficient storage", media scanner freezing up, on and on. This phone has been one huge pain in the ass. Right now I am just using a remount script to swap my internal and external, but so far so good.
Ok guys after extensive searching...I'm having the exact same issues. I did more investigating myself. When I removed the 32gb card from the port I noticed the pins in said port were messed up, the last two looked disconnected. After fooling with it for a min I decided to use the card on my tablet to get files from it, unfortunately the tablet didn't recognize the card at all. I'm thinking my phone corrupted the sd card somehow. I have yet to try another card in my phone for fear of messing another up. I'm going to try to insert the original 32gb card and have it reformat like it's asking and see how it goes. If that fails I'm gonna try a lil 2gb card in it. Also, I've contacted LG and am awaiting a return call for a warranty repair because it looks defective, I haven't dropped the phone recently, and just bought the phone in March from Best Buy... I'll keep y'all updated on my progress and wish me luck lol!

I am having this same problem with 2 32gb SanDisk Class 10 32GB cards. They are the red ones that Amazon sells.
Luckily I have a USB adapter for micro-SD cards. I transferred my data to Kingston Class 4 32GB cards.

Alright here's my update, I have the SanDisk Ultra 16gb micro SD HC I u (red and grey), I think my sd card is going out as well, but I'm wondering if there might be more to the problem. Yesterday i took out the card and I placed it in my computer to move some file. It didn't pop up at first, I wiped it and place it back in the PC and it started working. Once done, i place it back in my cell and it was working fine. I went into CWM to flash a backup. I was doing some testing so I flashed two different backups. So today i noticed that the Sd card it not mounting, but when I'm in clockworkmod it is working fine I have rebooted and checked several times, it's mounting and operating on my PC & CWM but not when the phone is on. I'm thinking CWM might have something to do with it, not sure (might be a system restore). I was going from 4.0(ice) to 4.1(jelly) & back to 4.0. I'm currently restoring one of my jelly bean backups to see if the problem is solved.
Update:
my L9 is back on Jelly Bean and the SD card is working, it might have been a corrupted backup (or something went wrong with cwm). Md5 is good, but it's not as accurate as SHA-256 checksum. Y'all might want to check if your SD card is popping up on CWM.

this is a problem that occurs when we upgraded from ICS to JB. once I upgraded my d card would not work. So I took it out and formatted it on the computer. Then I partitioned it with a program I have and it worked. JB and ICS having trouble with the sd card. If you go back to ics then don't reformat our you work have tip reformat when you flash jb.

Hi Folks,
now i snatched me an ZU because teh price tag of 222€ was to tempting. Mainly because i like strange phone Sizes... and why carry two devices, when you can have one awkwardly big one ^^
Now, I have an SanDisc Ultra 64GB Class 10 Card...
And guess what, when i fire up Comic Rack, it tells me that the SD Card is removed and tries to read it again.
Now is the Card Broken? I formated the card new, and after two tries my Laptop was able to format it? Sonds like something is messed up in the Card?
I still have warranty on the Card? so is it best to just send it back and get a replacement?

I'm pretty sure the card is done. Walkman always freezes when it tries to read from the card
And it's said again that the card is removed.
Even with no activity at all the card struggles and is removed from device.
