Why some phones requires bootloop fix on .570/575? - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Why some phones requires bootloop fix on .570/575?
And what bootloop fix exactly does? I found that there are OLDER firmware files.
IMHO i have worse cellular network coverage than on 5.1.1 and the signal is sometimes "floating".

Bootloop fix is actually modem firmware files. There is no need to flash that anymore if you have Official MM FTF.
Once you finish flashing a prerooted rom on TWRP, Turn off the phone instead of reboot. Then
on Flash tool select the MM Official FTF, exclude System and Partition and flash it. Phone will boot normally.

I've been wondering about this to, if I use prf creator to pre root MM, I still won't need bootloop fix?

[Q] [TWRP] Stuck in recovery after OTA update

Hello guys,
I need your help. I have a L7 II P710 and have intalled the rootable KDZ version months ago, but now I installed an OTA update accidentally and stucks since in the recovery (twrp). I checked all threads for a solution and tried to flash the new P710 V20C EUROPE OPEN version to repair the problem, but with several methods from the LG Flash Tool 2014 I could not solve the problem and still stuck in the recovery. Now I could need support from experts like you!
It would be glad when someone could assist me in this problem.
Greets, Bagerfahrer
If you have working TWRP, try to flash some of custom roms' like CM10.2 first. After that (if your device boot normaly), you may flash stock kk europe open.
And more details please, like version before ota upgrade, your country, simlock status etc.

Thanks for your reply. I could solve the problem... I downloaded a stock kdz version that doesnt include the twrp recovery or something else. After that I could boot normally up and down. Then I flashed the new rootable that includes TWRP and all works fine. But now there is a OTA update again and I would like to apply this update, but with the TWRP recovery it is not possible. Is there any way to restore the stock recovery without flash a stock rom?
My kdz contains pached bootloader (APPSSBL), and after upgrade via ota you have brick.
If you want this upgrade (why if you can flash my v20c?), you must flash back original RECOVERY and APPSSBL, extracted from your present original rom kdz.
And unroot your device.
Or you may simply flash original kdz.
After ota upgrade, no longer root is possible.
I flashed your 20c version (this was meant with "the new rootable [rom] that includes TWRP"), but my smartphone shows me every time the possibilty to update. Actually i don't need this update and tried to deactivate the OTA updater. I deactivated the update manager from my lg and disabled the notification but it still shows me the message to update. Could I backup the app via TitaniumBackup and delete it?

Yes, good idea. I recommend you to backup whole rom with TWRP. Just disable screen timeout in TWRP before performing backup.
Actually there is a solution. Its better not to use FOTA update if u have custom recovery. But also attached file can help.Sometimes.Helped me with v20D updates. Just flash it via recovery.

Can't access anything

So, I think I finally did it. I broke my phone.
I wanted to flash the new Existenz Rom 6.0 and the flashing worked fine. The phone started and it got stuck in the Xperia logo. I than downloaded the Bootloop Fix. To make sure nothing goes wrong I wanted to do another factory reset. Somehow, my phone uses two roms (Philz custom recovery or something like that (I flashed the rom with this) and a TWRP Recovery). My phone booted into the TWRP (which it usually doesn't do) Recovery and I thought "Well, I can do a factory reset here". So I did the advanced reset but after restarting I can't access anything! When I turn it on, there is still the Sony Logo but if I press up and down I can't access none of the custom recoverys. I'm truly desperate and I can't afford a new phone. Can someone help me how to fix this?
@DerDokktor
XZDR and similar recoveries for locked bootloader reside in /system partition , when you wiped your system you also wiped the recovery...
You'll need to flash an .ftf firmware with flashtool to recover your phone. If you want root and a locked bootloader flash a KK or LP ftf (as MM is not rootable yet), then root it with kingroot or something else you like, install XZDR from your computer and then you can go to the recovery again and flash existenz rom or any prerooted rom you want.
You could also flash a MM .ftf directly but then you won't be able to root it without unlocking your BL.
If you need help with flashtool follow this guide:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...peria-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/
Edit: the first steps of this guide are to create your own .ftf , if you already have an .ftf downloaded you can go straight to the "Now that the FTF firmware file has been created, you need to flash your Sony Xperia device." section of the guide.

How to aproach update to 34.A.0.228

I have Sony Xperia F5122 model.
Phone has TWRP and it's rooted. It has Magisk 14.0 for hidden root. I don't remember if I installed a kernel.
It's curently running build 34.2.A.2.69. version. Now xperia system update is getting all up in my nortification bar to update the software to 34.A.0.228. When I try to update it trough the phone it fails every time. I assume this is because I have TWRP not original recovery. How do I update without losing my data? I was thinking of flashtool but I don't know which boxes to tick for wipe and exclude. I have original firmware from xperifirm and compiled with flashtool.

you can use flashtool, exclude fotakernel so you'll keep twrp. After flashing rom use magisk app to get root or create and flash a rooted kernel

I realized that I can't or don't know how to get into fastboot because I have TWRP.
Ok now I remembered how to get into fastboot. Now I don't have root. Twrp asks for a decryption password which I don't know. Installing supersu from flash didn't do anything.

I bought a SONY Z5Campact docomo mod (SO-02H) and used the qUnlockTool to change Bootloader unlock allowed "NO" to "YES" , then i started the FLASHING

Perform a bootloader relock using flashtool,
Why not flash the stock rom?
In any case, the custom rom does not work properly on the so-02h.
Maybe you will continue to use android 6.
The stock rom is not comfortabal to use for me. so i thought if i flash a custom ROMs, it will be more battery saving and smoothly
I had flashed every phone that i bought since i start using android phone with Android 2.3, if without flash a magisk/super/xposed and greenify, the Chinese apps will **** your RAM and memory
Now i can flash recovery by fastboot command and flash any rom by TWRP, even i can boot to bootanimation, but just can't boot to system and flash with flashtool/newflasher.etc.

I think that the global ftf can be flashed with Docomo Xperia up to about Z4.

Downgrading from Android 12 to 10

I extracted the boot.img from the latest factory Android 10 and made it into .tar. If I install it via Odin, would I then be able to downgrade to the Samsung factory firmware v10? If not, can I downgrade to Android 11?
boot.img is just the kernel, it's not really what's keeping you from downgrading. If you want to use something like Android 10 you're going to have to install custom recovery (root) and flash boot.img, system.img, vendor.img and a few things I may be missing. And even then, this isn't a guarantee that it'll boot.
Once bootloader updates there is no flashing backwards. The only way you can is if the firmware you are flashing to has same bootloader version that you are already on
idk if its even possible
because it'll cause a bootloop
my suggestion is - dont try it
