So I recently got a new LG K7. So being a complete idiot I did not back up my phone, then I proceeded to root it with kingroot then because it only has 8gb of storage I thought "well I really want to get GTA SA on my phone so ill just delete a couple of things in there to make it work." So I deleted a ton of Google play stuff and when I realized I would not be able to accomplish my goal I found out I messed up Google play for good. Fine I said I'll just factory reset. But when I factory reseted it would so the normal checking for connection thing except that it never ends (i left it sitting like that for a full 24 hours) so... yeah... my phone is basically screwed up. I took it to Tmobile to see if they could help but they pointed me here so now I'm just seeing if any of you can help. Thanks -Daniel
So since you messed up one of the valuable components of Google services, the Only option you have is to flash your firmware to the default firmware of your phone. Hope that helps!
Did you find the stock firmware? Did you also try to reflash gapps

Hey guys, got a question here...
I flashed prl00001 and now when I update prl through settings to get back on sprint it still reads 00001 even after profile update and reboot. Done this multiple times, starting to get worried about my contract being cancelled... Any ideas? Thanks
Which way did I use to put it on. I used it for a few days but it did not do all that good for me so I just used the epst and that's it. Make sure u r on a sence rom with epst
My 3D Shooter not yours!!
Yeah I'm on steel ROM 2.5 which is sense... I flashed it by dialing ##747# like usual. Trying to get back I use system update prl... Tried renaming prl file just in case it was getting in the way but no dice...

nah , but i'm still looking for a answer though . Thanks for helping .
just do another "tituatam backup" and it should "viberate" harder so that your phone falls of your desk, and softbreaks enabling you to reflash the rom. Your welcome.

Im still trying to get over that signature......maybe if you do another "tituatam backup" while holding your home button it will remember to back that up too...
i agree, def another tititatitiiatuuuam backup. Get the new version too. If he only spent as much time thinking about what he types, he might get worthwhile responses.
first i am new and dont know a lot about software/android
i used this guide to try to flash the liquid jelly bean
androidauthority.com/galaxy-note-i717-android-4-1-1-liquid-jelly-bean-custom-rom-114126/
since the ROM download link wasnt working i downloaded it from here
android.gs/install-liquidsmooth-custom-rom-on-att-samsung-galaxy-note-i717-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean/
in the first link i followed the steps BUT forgot to do a clean/wipe the factory data
now after the flashing completed i hit reboot now and waited 6min than i tried to hold down the power button and nothing. took out battery and try to restart but nothing
how do i go back to either the reflashing or to my old ICS flashed version (using tmobile sim with forced 4g)?
My battery was full and every time i try to plug it to my pc it keeps telling me to format the sd/internal storage.
Pull battery and put back
Hold power and both volume buttons
At Samsung screen, release ONLY power
Keep holding volume, recovery will come up
Wipe data/factory reset.
Wipe cache partition
While you're at it, go to Mounts and storage - Format system
Reinstall ROM

no response from the phone expect when i connect to pc it keep telling me to format the internal storage.
what options do i have to fix this
The phone is likely bricked ...
The link you used is likely the same one another user tried yesterday.
It's not an I717 rom....it's actually a GS3 rom, and when flashed, instantly bricks the device.
You likely need a JTAG repair on the device, as it is hard bricked with no download mode.
Very sorry, it's a bad deal...but users "must" verify rom sources before flashing...
The link you used has bricked your device....g
Someone needs to report to the writer that they're referring people to an incorrect ROM. Granted its not their fault but damn. People do whatever the internet tells them to and we already have enough "bricked" threads.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
so just one thing
should i try the usb download mode dongle thing first or try the JTAG service and are which ones on AMAZON are compatible with att note
Concerning this issue, there is room for improvement by devs and users both.
I have to say many of the liquid items are not organized well. After so many issues due to this you would think at some point they would be cleaned up. Also while I agree folks should confirm they have the correct rom, files, etc before flashing, it takes verry little to add safeguards to a rom making it device specific so it will not flash to an unintended device.
Just my two pennies.

Agreed....
Very sorry, but it's toast until a JTAG restore is performed.....
And I agree with the above poster that the liquid links are a mess...
This is the second brick in a day I'm aware of, and I'm looking into reporting the faulty rom.....g

oh man today has just been a bad luck for me
bricked my note
got two different blue screen error
burned myself while trying to shape metal
i will try to ship it to the JTAG
just one more thing do i need to get the usb dongle for $6 and also do i need to get the sim unlock.
when i bough the phone i had bough a unlocked version, will i be able to do that myself or since he is restoring it, it will need to be redone
No parts needed, and you'll likely need to unlock again..
Good luck with the note repair, and I'm sorry your day has sucked so badly.
It'll get better ...g

I recently just went through the same exact thing, downloaded the same link and BOOM.......nice paper weight! But since my phone is from AT&T and I am in my first year, i just took it to the service center and they replaced it without asking any questions. Not sure where you live , but try the service center, not saying it's a guarantee, but maybe , just maybe, you'll get lucky

And what you did here and what you are recommending is fraud. You voided the warranty when you rooted it and flashed a custom rom to it. I wouldn't say you got lucky I would say you cheated the system
Alright, so I got this phone for Christmas, and being the impatient techie I am, decided to do the N4 conversion and get Jellybean. But, this is not my problem. When I plugged the phone in for it's first charging, the screen froze, and I had to hold down the power button, and restart the phone. I thought that maybe this could be a glitch in the stock firmware, so I figured that I could solve that problem, whilst upgrading to Jellybean. I was wrong.. so wrong. The phone still had these problems, every time it was plugged into anything other than my Asus Tablet charger, or my laptop, it would freeze up and require a reboot. Finally, I got fed up with this, and called AT&T to try and use the warranty to get a new phone, but the tech support guy asked what my "phone identity" was and I knew he'd find out I had rooted. I tried to go back to stock, but my laptop always has difficulty with drivers and such, and couldn't get the process to work.
My problem began last night, when I was charging the phone as usual. I reached over to grab it, and the phone cut off completely, and now, won't cut back on. I've tried going into recovery mode, download mode, and even praying to pagan gods.. just kidding. The only sign I have that the phone is working at all, is when it is plugged into a power source, the charging light comes on. I'm going to tell AT&T that the phone is ruined, and cause a fuss about them sending me a phone with defective hardware, so they should send me a warranty replacement. (My mom has been a customer for about 14 years now, so they do whatever she asks usually.)
My question is, is there any possible way to get the phone back on, so I can try and revert back to stock, so I can avoid the AT&T techies from discovering that I rooted? If that happens, I'd have to be paying them like $223, which I reallllly don't have at the moment.
You guys have always come through when I've needed help, so whatever advice you can give is greatly appreciated!
Thanks a million!
My gone bricked too, not in the same way as yours, but it died anyways. Tried everything to fix it, I only made it worse. Finally sent it back to ATT and I had to pay $50- for repairs and now I have my phone back and plan to leave it on stock until oficcial JB comes out. Good luck!

So, did they know that you had rooted?
LGNPST back to stock, It should lock you out with an encryption failed error. That's a stock option. Everything else will be stock. Make sure your sd card is clear of root related things. Take it to the store and be dumb.
Also, I had a problem getting back to stock the first time too. But in your situation you may want to do the battery pull. Instructions are on this forum somewhere. I had that problem too, took it to best buy and they just looked at it and handed me another

yes they did, thats why I had to pay $50 for the repairs.
You should have just gone into "Download" mode and reflashed your phone to complete stock. This would have eliminated any sort of software issues you were having. If it continued after reflash then you should have sent it back. =( You could have saved some money.
How would they know if you are rooted if you can't turn it on?
First thing they've normally don't themselves is flash it back to stock.
LG Optimus G E971
Yeah root they probably won't notice. Especially if it won't turn on, it is undetectable. Root means giving superuser permissions or beyond the user's regular permissions while booted (rw permissions). If it can't boot nothing can detect it.
