I recently installed the Rom
Cm12.1-20160118-UNOFFICIAL-Coolpad9976T
on my coolpad with cpu MTK6592T
I would like to contact the developers to ask some questions about it.
I downloaded the ROM from a baidu online drive ,
i would like to understand who developed it.
Do you have any suggestion?

You are out of luck. You will have to track them down on your own. Most of the roms are not posted here. Also if you didnt get the rom here then there is no way to help you.

Hi Mates,
we have a phone called "HTC rider model X515e".
we could not found any custom roms for it. In google we find most of chinese sites but it was difficult to understand.
Any experts here who can guide us to find a custom rom and guide that will suit us.
we have some how managed to root our device.

If you guys have rooted it then you should also be able to port a Rom as well. There are guides to porting generic Roms, as well as specific guides for CM7/9/10 and certain versions of MIUI.

You can try this one, but there are others as well if you need them. Odds are you guys will have to put in the work yourselves because if it's not a popular phone devs aren't going to take the time to do a one-off port. That said, if you do it yourself you'll learn a lot and be able to bring over any Rom you like.
I have a MIcromax A35 and was wondering if it could run the android 4.0 platform. I've searched all over the internet and did not find a single ROM for my device. I would really love to see a 4.0 OS on A35. So, it is a request to all developers working on Micromax device, If they can please spare some time out for this device.
P.S. - I have no sort of knowledge on ROM development, so basically I cannot do this myself and require your help. :angel:
And there should be request and answers to request threads(did not see any) for each specific devices this would help novice users a lot.

Before I say anything, let me tell you (and the mod) that I know there are several posts on the same topic (and an excellent one on Unite 2) already but I am so new to this that I can't understand anything in any of those posts. So, dear mod, please do not delete my thread.
Now, I just want one thing and I would be very, very much grateful if I got a brief and exact answer.
1. Which are the best custom ROMs for Micromax Unite 2 and Samsung Star Pro?
- I know people have several favourites. I'd still like to research before trying them. Google gives me too much info.
2. How to root and install ROM on both the devices. (detailed guides) Please provide links if you can.
3. I personally love Cyanogenmod but last I checked their website, they had nothing for the phones I'm looking to root. Please help!
One stupid question: Is it in any way possible to install ROM without rooting? I'm desperate because
a. Samsung Star Pro is slower than a lame tortoise.
b. Micromax Unite 2 has a shorter memory than a goldfish.
Help PLEASE!!!

Well had you followed the rules you would know there is no best rom.
There is no such thing as too much info. What you are doing could very easily leave you bricked with no warranty so it's best to understand what your doing first. Even if it takes days or sometimes weeks of reading before hand.
First things you need to know is if your bootloader is unlocked. If it is not then you won't be able to flash anything.
Also you need to know if kernel source is available for your device. For the micromax most likely not as it is just a rebranded China device and they seldom if ever release Kernel source for their device.
That will get you started. Now take a few days and do some research.

You can find all the available ROM for this device in the development section. Each one has a short introduction about what the package contains and found bugs. Nobody can really tell which one should be on your phone, It completely depends on your preferences. You need to decide what's more important to you, then make the choice. E.G. If customization is a must have feature, You might wanna go for the CM based ROMs like ResurrectionRemix, Mokee.
