Any custom ROMs for old Zeki TB782B FID:BN? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

All I've been able to find is the stock update from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4. I recall there was such an enthusiastic response to this tablet being rooted out of the box and how much fun it was going to be because of that.

I wouldnt mind some more to do with this device also.

Used SuperOneClick which says it has worked however none of the Root checkers say it is and the Super user apps can't update their binaries, anyone know how to properly root these tablets?
I too have purchased this tablet from ALDI, I am very happy with it. Would love to be able to root it... you know what I mean

I have successfully rooted it following the instructions from http://whrl.pl/RdvMXo
However I had to do some things a little different, (after reading the guide you'll understand my next bit)
after I clicked the restore data and it doing the restore it's meant to reboot the tablet although mine didn't so after trying this several times I rebooted it manually to which it actually worked.
My only anger towards this tablet is that it was advertised as 1.2GHz CPU when in fact it's 1GHz.
Champion! Worked for me, Only took 10min.
Now that the device is rooted, what would you suggest next?
Im not well versed on the apps, roms or other things to run on a tablet. So any ideas would be great.
My phone is rooted with Clockwork Mod and a custom rom, is this possible with the tablet?
And once again, thanks for the help

See now I haven't done anything ROM wise with my tablet as of yet because there are no ROMs that I can find for our little chinese made no name brand tablet, I'll be keeping my ears and eyes open for any ROMs I can find or ones that people have tested, I'm just not keen to test one of them myself and brick my tablet.
Hi, I need someone's help in testing a new version of my Online Nandroid script. It has built-in support for MTK based devices such as yours. If anyone would like to try the beta, please send me a PM.

[Q] Gah! Head hurts, want to root my GT-7510 ICS - Please help!

I've been reading forums and searching forums all day, but can't seem to find a definitive answer to whether I'll be able to root my specific version of tablet or not, there's so many different types, build numbers, UK versions/US versions my head is close to blowing! Any advice would be soo much appreciated.
I bought a tablet off Ebay, a GT-7510 (US version I think, although I live in the UK) which came with Honeycomb installed. I then updated OTA to ICS 4.0.4, but it seems pretty laggy in general compared to the other Galaxy tabs I've seen, now I'm at the point where I'd like to root it and try some custom roms to see if they're any better than the stock ICS rom.
Here is the info for my tab which I think is relevant:-
Android Version 4.0.4
Kernel version 3.1.10
Build number IMM76D.UELPL
I've found so many different methods of how to root certain variations, but can't be certain if one of them applies to my tablet, whether I'd have to flash it back to Honeycomb, whether it only works for UK or US versions etc etc, that I've given up searching and thought I'd start my own post, and hope that somebody could tell me whether I can definitely root my device, and which would be the best method to do it? I have no warranty on my device as it's a refurb, so rooting doesn't bother me, but I'm worried about using the wrong method and bricking it.
Really hope somebody can help me, thanks very much in advance for any advice.

For the P7510, rooting it is dead easy - just download a recovery and flash it using ODIN. See the rooting guides here. Honeycomb doesn't complicate things at all.
Thanks k1mu, when you say honeycomb doesn't complicate it at all, some of the guides I've read specify that they're for honeycomb installations only, I have the stock ICS rom which was installed OTA, is Android version not an issue anymore, and the guides will work no matter which version you have installed? Also, my tablet is a GT-7510, not a P7510, not sure what the difference is, if any? Sorry if I seem dumb, just want to be sure before I go ahead.
Thanks very much for your help.
Just to update for anybody searching who is as confused as I was, I got root access using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029664 from user Jovimon.

[Q] Tmobile Samsung GS2 (JB OTA hits what should i do before update?)

Hiya all
I'm new to these forums but ive lurked for a bit off and on.
However I felt it was time to join up as I am getting more and more involved with android development.
Here is the current scenario: I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH-T989) Currently running the stock firmware (ICS).
I am also rooted and fully enjoy the device and it's flawless operation. But I want to move on to Jellybean as I have heard quite a bit of positive feedback from many users of the newest flavor of android. As such this brings me to my first question rooting after the update.
As I understand it when I update with the OTA JB (that's constantly prompting me) I will be back to a out of box device, No apps, no tweaks, and even worse no root? (if my understanding is faulty or not on point please correct me)
Secondly Has anybody rooted the stock JB with this model of the SSGS2? if so please be as so kind as to direct me to relevant documentation or guides.
That being said Thank you all for your time and I look forward to geeking out on android with all of you from here on out.

Cheers!

[Q] Advice on Upgrade path from Virtuous Prime on TF201 to newer ROMs

Hello I'm trying to upgrade an asus tf201 tablet given to me as a gift which has virtuous prime 9.4.2.21 v1 (android 4.0.3) installed
How can I upgrade to something newer, and how would I go about doing it? Should I downgrade to stock then upgrade to JB via a custom rom?
How should I proceed so as to not brick it. What methods should I use? Which ROMs should I use. etc.
A lot of the methods seem to be from stock to custom ROM. This is why I ask how to unroot and go back to stock just in case I have to (but I'm hoping I don't have to).
help
Thanks

To make a story short. Since it seems I had CWM recovery installed, I went ahead, bit the bullet and downloaded acgomez last ROM for the tf201. Which has 4.1.2 android I think. Went into recovery mode and installed it. wiped cache before doing it.
It installed fine with no issues. Runs great.
