Honor 7 app icons not updating - Honor 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear honor 7 users,
I don't know if you have experienced this but when an app updates through google play the icons on your homescreen (the look of the icon) from old to new should change automatically, however, this does not happen on my phone which I find to be very strange.
Whenever an icon is updated it reflects on your homescreen as the old icon is changed to the new logo of the icon, for example Instagram has recently changed the look of their icon but I still see the old one on my phone. How do I update my app icons?
Is there a bug in EMUI which prevents this from happening or something wrong with my google play or phone itself?
Please help!

[Q] gallery icon

Got my phone about a week ago and love it but was wondering why the gallery icon changed. on all the promos for the xperia s the gallery icon is a flower or something in a blue box but on my phone it is a total different icon.
was the icon changed with a update or just different icons by region.
thanks
I think they used the ICS icon in some pics. Still it was always like this.

How to make android app icon live ????

I want to make a live icon for my app which shows several pic as icon, just like MIUI calender app which shows date on its icon.I browsed all over the internet but could not find a way to make a live icon
Edit : I don't want to make a widget. I don't want to change an icon of already published app, by update I meant the app be able to update the icon on the basis of the data it receives. I want the icon to be dynamic instead of static.

Notification Icon Error

I am using the Honor 7 from November of 2015 and everything was perfect in previous android versions. After a marshmallow update, I am facing this strange error where the notification icons are same as the default app icons. For example, if there is a whatsapp notification, instead of a transparent whatsapp white icon, I get the usual full icon which is green. Facebook notifications appear with usual blue facebook icon, instagram notification annoys the most where the multicolored icon is used for notification. This happens for all other apps too. Can anybody help me get rid of these and switch to original notification icons?
Same issue here after update to EMUI 4. Do you got any solution yet?
try to install notify app from play store and install all program inside . will fix it
Any special notify app, there are a lot of them
I'm having the same issue with notification icons after upgrading to EMUI 4.0. I haven't found a solution so far, but with the Tasker plugin AutoNotification I'm able to set the icon within the notification at least. The notificationbar icon stays the same unfortunately...
Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

Same problem here...
Does someone has any news on this? Just updated to B371 and still having this issue!

This comes by default with the latest Marshmallow updates, use a different theme which has some cool icons, so your status bar will look good.

HI Guys
This is my first redmi phone, im used to Samsung phones and icon badges for notifications. The redmi note 4 has never displayed app icon badges to show whatsapp messages or facebook updates. No matter what I do in settings i cannot get them to display, can the phone do it by default or does something special need to be done?

Theme Manager not showing all themes

Has anyone else run into this issue on the Mate 20 Pro where only pre-installed themes are shown? If I tap "Customize" 9 can change the lock screen and home screen options with a custom theme, but there's no options to apply an entire custom theme.

I'm going through the exact same thing and its driving me mad. I cant even blame it on a system update or anything, I went to bed and when I woke up, my phone was reverted back to the original theme it came with out of the box,
the "My Themes" "My Fonts" tabs are missing, all my fonts are gone yet I can see all my themes Lock Styles, Icons & Lock Screen Wallpapers however the tabs are missing along with any option to apply is missing.
When I download a theme or a font from Theme or Font Manager and try to apply it from there, tells me its been downloaded and to go to "My Themes" to apply it & Restart. However following those steps also brings me to the above mentioned.
I'm having the same issue on my P30 Lite in Canada. It seems like we aren't able to use the theme store because of my location? When I first got the theme it worked for a couple weeks. Nothing now!
Delete the stock themes app "disable to downgrade", then install the latest from apk mirror
Also, disable auto update so it won't update from the play store.
I tried that and it didn't work
