SM-R750K original firmware. - Samsung Gear S

Does anyone have the original SM-R750K firmware?,
I can get all the normal updates from samfirmware and sam-updates but cannot find a site with the original Korean R750K firmware.
If anyone does have this I guess it would have be the latest R750K firmware as I am currently on BTU R750XXU2BOL2 firmware, i.e. to be able to flash it without downgrading Tizen OS.
The reason for my request being my built in GPS on the watch doesn't seem to work well or at all as a stand alone without phone GPS/location?

Tried to contact Samsung support to resolve this and got an interesting reply!
So Samsung are saying because I was flashing official firmware for a different region this voids my warranty?!
Samsung reply:
In response to your query, we do not support devices if the software has been tampered with.
Unfortunately, I would be unable to provide you with any software for your device. As you have flashed the software on your device the warranty is now void.

Samsung support sucks...
Samsung customer service staff need training, they clearly do don't know what they are doing!
This is there latest reply:
Further to your email, from the information provided on the Gear S I can confirm the device software has been modified. I do apologise, we do not have access to any other official software and only engineers are authorised to flash devices.
In this case we cannot provide a resolution/steps on how to change the software to another region.
I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
As you can see from the photo of my Gear S in download mode, it all say offical.

Sorry to say..not just in your country, but all other country, sammy will do the same..root n flash will void the warranty..its is well know by all samsung devices..

Thanks for the reply naimmkassim.
I didn't root my Gear S just flashed the official ROMS available, surprised they said my Gear S was not official though.

Thanks anyway.
I guessed this would be a difficult thread to answer with the SM750K model I purchased, thanks anyway guys.
I have now done a lot of testing with the different region ROM's and am currently on the Australia (Optus) firmware PDA - R750XXU2BPA1 and CSC - R750OPS2BPA1.
The GPS problems I thought I had now actually appear to be with the gear GPS programs themselves, not the Gear S!
Here maps won't work as a stand alone with no phone connected and a SIM in the gear, but I found that Gear navigator standalone does work as a standalone program, and the GPS in the gear works great, but requires an internet access through the SIM in the gear so you need a lot of data allowance to use this one, the only downside being you cant download map tiles to the gear.
Thanks again folks, and don't forget if you want to download official ROM's for any Samsung device including the Gear S, use the XDA tool link in my signature, the download speed is what ever speed you have form you internet connection.

[Q] Samsung GT-I9300

I purchased the above phone in China 3 weeks ago to use in the USA. Everything is in Chineese, and even when I go to the internet it uses the China internet browser. How do I change the software over to the US version? There is no sim card, and the phone has never been activated.
Android version 4.0.4, Baseline i9300ZNLH3, Kernel 3.0.15-1038370-user, build number IMM76D.I9300ZNBLH3.
if the chineese s3 version is smilar to the international s3 you can use the normal method to flash roms with odin in download mode. use forum search.
check product code backside your s3 behind battery
This is what is behind battery:
GT-I9300
CMIIT ID: 2012CP2597
Yup, the model is i9300 which is the international model, meaning you can just download a stock rom from any English-speaking country and flash it and when you reboot the phone it'll give you the option to set everything up in English.
Unless of course, you bought a counterfeit (China's pretty well known for making them) in which case I wish you the best of luck xD
Cool, I will search the posts and figure out how as I am a newbe and never done that before, Thanks for all the help.
Check out "john4lakers" on youtube. He did a fake s3 video, compare yours.. Hope its not

I would erase your IMEI off of this page so that people cannot steal it...

Follow the instructions on these 2 sites:
http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s3/
http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-unroot/how-to-unroot-galaxy-s3-i9300/
The first site tells you how to root the phone so you can flash a ROM into it, and the 2nd site tells you how to flash a stock ROM and then unroot the phone in case you don't wanna void the warranty. The site from which you can download the ROM is in the 2nd site
Man, please delete your IMEI, somebody may use it to screw thing up with your phone.
i sent him a pm.. Didnt notice he posted the whole thing.. Need a mod to do it urgently !!!

Any news on a fix?

Got thru the first root process, everything when well. Working on installing the stock firmware. Could not find a US version, downloading one for the Mexico region. Hope that will work. It is downloading now so I can finish the process of installing.
Just finished rooting and un-rooting. I had alittle trouble, but the video helped alot. It was succesful. I installed a Mexico version of the phone to get rid of the China version. My question is, is there a US version avilible? I notice alot of cautions about installing the US or Canada version on this phone, and they are specific to a carrier.
Maybe I am not understanding everything correctly. If I install a custom root, does that do teh same thing? I wanted to get rid of teh country specific icons for China and get to the US ones, and that has happened for the most part. Now the screens and wallpaper are showing the Mexico carriers name.
Sorry if these are basic questions.

Which firmware region do i need?

Hello,
i use the software XperiFirm to download firmwares for my Z5C.
I live in Austria but there are only three providers in the list from Austria.
I have a phone without any branding and i don't know which one i should use because i am not a user of any of this providers.
Is it possible to use for example the T-Mobile firmware even if i don't have a T-Mobile Sim Card?
And is it also possible to use a Firmware from another country?
Best regards
Zillinda

there might be problem with sim card if you flash USA roms cause they more restriction & ...
but other than that you flash any official firmware with same android version.
:good:
Normally you can use any version for E5823.
The difference between the austrian roms are that providers pack some of their apps into the rom( like "a1 apps" or "mein a1" for example. If you want a rom without provider apps you can use the customized de version for germamy for example.
However you could of course run into a little problem by using a rom from another country that i had myself.
From what you said, i assume you are neither using a1, t-mobile nor drei as your provider. All of the other providers in austria like bob, hot or upc are using the network infrastructure of one of the those 3 big providers by national roaming.
However his could result in you to have allow roaming all the time to use mobile data. Could cause costs if you live near the boarder or if you forget to turn of when you leave country.
I had this problem with the customized de firmware for germany with which i got my device. My provider "Ge org" wasn't recognized correctly. After flashing the A1 firmware( Ge org is using A1 network) all works properly.

Hello, thanks for your answer.
My provider is HoT and it's using the infrastructure of T-Mobile. When i flash the T-Mobile Firmware do i still get the OTA updates and what about the warranty?

I also believe this should be the best choice for you.
If you stay unrooted you should have no problems with OTA updates. Warranty should be afaik no problem if you don't unlock your bootloader, which is not needed to install another stock rom. However i don't know for sure, cause i don't care much about warranty since i repair hardware issues on my devices by myself

That's up to you.
A dirty flash should run and work properly. But a dirty flash (especially when your data and apps is the same as when you where using Android 6.0) can result in unexpected behavior:
- Crashing apps
- Wakelocks
- Battery drain
...
So it's always better to do a clean install when you upgrade to android 7.0
If you don't care about the possibility of instable behaviour or battery inefficiency, then a dirty flash (keeping your data/apps) will be much easier/faster.

Unlock Samsung s8+ SCV35 AU Japan. This will work?

Hi there,
First of all, my name is Ivan, and I am not english native speaker, I am spanish, so apologies in advance if my writing skill is a bit weird.
I had been looking for a way to unlock the S8+ (AU Japanese version, SCV35 AU KDDI), the websites with remote IMEI unlock are not working, so the only chance is by AU company directly, or maybe changing the stock ROM.
One of the biggest problems with AU in japan is prices are kind of ridiculous every month, for 2 phone lines I pay close to 300 dollars each month (One line with a crappy 1 GB of data), also the share wifi option is disable as they try to make you pay for it, (when I made the contract they were offering it for free, even if I told them I want it, it's still not working).
Anyway, I supposedly found a way to unlock it, it is a guide in a unknown language for me.
I have to use google translator, basically what they say is that:
We need a full ROM of the docomo network (other carrier in Japan).
They include the S8 roms codes, in this case SCV35 - SC03J. They also recommend use Samfirm for the latest updates of the ROM.
After flash the docomo ROM (SC03J), I guess with the home CSC file? (help here), one the SIM status is updated as SCV31?? (they say something about introduce a SIM), the phone will ask to introduce a code (00000000).
Now we just turn off the phone and flash it back to the AU SVC35 stock ROM, and supposedly the phone will be unlocked, and the mention in this second flash, do not remove the CSC. (I guess we will flash it back with the normal CSC, not the home CSC).
Actually I don't know if its properly working, if someone know if can works, looks dangerous, or something else I will be glad to read it, as I need to get rid of this SIM card as soon as possible.
If someone help me to clarify this I will be glad and this can probably help more people in my situation.
Thank you all.

Custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy J8

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy J8 from Australia because I lost my phone there. When I came home to India I found out that the Australian J8 does not support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) but I need VoLTE for my Indian sim card to work. So I went to the Samsung service center but they straight away denied any support since I bought this in another country.
The Indian varient J8 supports VoLTE but the Australian one does not even when both the phones have the exact same hardware. So its a software limitation.
Can anyone suggest any method I can use to install any custom ROM that'll support VoLTE.
I'm willing to install anything, root my phone or whatever it takes since I'm never gonna get any warranty on this. So I might as well try everything else.

Just download Indian firmware from sammobile and flash via odin, that will contain latest modem for your device. It might bring VoLTE, because I think its software problem.

I tried but it won't let me install any other model firmware. My phone's Model Number is SM-J810Y but the phones available in India have model number SM-J810G. So it won't let me install the "G" firmware. I get a failed message.
Do you have any other suggestion?

Question AT&T Base Firmware needed for A526U

Hello, looking for some help to see if anyone can help me find the firmware of my A526U specifically for AT&T? I have moved my phone over from TMobile where I purchased it from, and am looking to re-flash it to AT&T. Was working fine for a few months, now I'm no longer able to make or receive calls.
After inserting the new AT&T SIM card, the TMobile splash screen still shows up. The Service Provider software version reflects TMobile still as well and I'm concerned that for whatever reason the phone did not fully update after inserting the new SIM. I spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T support after the store said they couldn't help me. Pulled the SIM card out, restarted phone, put it back in, reset network settings etc. I've searched sammobile and I cannot find the AT&T firmware, only TMobile, Sprint, and TMK. I would sincerely be greateful please if anyone could help me by pointing me in the right direction for the firmware for this model phone.
AT&T doesn't make their firmware available publicly - for any device. I have a source who can get me Samsung firmware for any USA device - even AT&T. But he charges me for each one
I appreciate the quick response! Is there any option I have here? Could I try flashing a "U1" firmware to his phone then? He's currently on A526USQS4CVA6. I actually found your other post as I was also working on my note 10 plus - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/n975u-and-n975u1-firmware-links-here.3957648/. If I'm reading that correctly, I should be able to correct? If so, how can I tell if the version I'm downloading is "downgrading the bootloader"

1. Yes, you can try flashing U1 if you want
2. You can't "downgrade the bootloader" - Odin won't let you.
3. In A526USQS4CVA6, "4" is the position of the bootloader level/revision/binary. Make sure that whatever U1 firmware you download also has a 4 in that spot and you'll be fine. (Or just get the firmware from Frija or one of the other similar firmware download tools, because those throw you whatever the newest version is automatically)

Thank you very much sir! I shall give this a go this weekend! You guys rock!
My AT&T N10+ N975U is running on Pie. It transitioned seamlessly with no changes made on my end. It was already using 4G VoLTE though. Same sim card.
I would contact AT&T advanced tech support as there may be an easier way.
4G VoLTE needs to be enabled in hidden settings.

Your AT&T phone? So it's originally an AT&T model that you're still using with them? That's not the same situation that the OP is in

Yup. But OP has a T-Mobile model that they moved to AT&T. There's also no guarantee that a Note 10+ will work the exact same way as an A52. You're also running 3 year old firmware, while OP is fully updated.
So i don't see the correlation.

The old firmware works fine on 4G VoLTE... that's likely not the issue. What is the issue is it wasn't running on 4G VoLTE so it's likely the settings and sim card need updating not the firmware.
Hi All, thought I would provide an update... After spending hours on the phone with AT&T support this week and being frustrated with the AT&T store, I decided to proceed forward with flashing the U1 version. What started this all was last week my son could no longer make or receive calls on his AT&T A52 phone (we ported it from TMobile September 2021). The store and AT&T advanced tech support said there were issues with people's BYOD devices, even though the A526U and A526U1 shows on the supported devices list. The store rep said he's been getting people in left and right that can't make or receive calls, and all they can do is upsell customers to an AT&T branded phone.
SO... my son's phone was on A526USQS4CVA6. Startup screen showed TMobile still, even with the AT&T SIM card in it. I proceed to flash the A526U1OYM4CVB2_ATT that I found from Sammobile. Was hoping someone had just the "U" version but I couldn't find this anywhere. When doing the flash, I used the Home_CSC file (I had to download a patched version of ODIN as it was stuck as setting up connection) and when it finished it would just keep going back to the download screen on the phone and I freaked out. I did some more research and decided to flash again using CSC instead of Home.CSC (I did a backup using smart switch on my PC luckily). This WORKED! I'm guessing because the software version he was on was different than what I was trying to flash too so maybe this is why I needed the CSC for a clean flash (there was no user data file that downloaded from SAMMOBILE).
Now, calls are working on my son's phone again! AND his service provider software version now reflects ATT vs TMB! Man this has been one heck of a journey lol. I've seen numerous forums on google of people having the same trouble with me, their BYOD devices not working. Seems a flash of U1 worked for me, so hopefully this helps others out there!
