Micromax A311 Pin Locked :( - Micromax Canvas Nitro A310/A311

friends, i am using micromax a311 and i forgot its unlocking pin, i cant access anything, there are so much data in it and thats why i cant format it, i have searched all over net to unlock but i am failed to do that as the phone is not connected with Wifi or Data, i dont know anything about rooting, please friends help me to recover my data
Thanks

First go to this link http://androidcure.com/how-to-use-minimal-adb-and-fastboot-tool-to-install-custom-recovery/ . with this method install the custom recovery to a311..open custom recovery backup your whole data..flash any custom rom. you will find plenty here...follow instruction to flash custom rom...then restore the backup....done..i think this may help.....

i dont understand "open custom recovery backup your whole data"
that link only shows to install custom recovery, but how to backup the data?

Have you installed the custom recovery yet?...i said install it and then open it by pressing power+volume down....and in the custom recovery there is a option "backup" which saves all your data to external sd card..now you understand?

Here is another solution. Just download the attachment and flash it through recovery. I didn't check whether it is working or not.

i dont know for sure...i want to install nandroid manager but i cant install any app..
I guess I am confused on where you are at with this then. Typically when someone says they have a nandroid, they completed a full back up via their custom recovery. First thing to try when this happens is to restore the nandroid backup via the same recovery. Are you not able to boot into CWM anymore as well?

K, well if it does boot up into the OS, then you should be able to use the command: adb reboot recovery - and see if that will kick you back into it to restore.
If that doesn't work, then you'll have to do a full restore probably.

As it happens to you, now I can not get into recovery or anything. find the solution , I would be helpful , thanks
Hey mate i have found the solution u need to flash a custom revovery img with an app called rashr i the custom recovery is called CTR (carliv touch revovery 2.4)
I wil post a link in a couple ofminutes:thumbup:
Sent from my ONE TOUCH 4015A using XDA Free mobile app
4015x
the 4015x has a different set of partitions from the older 4015 (dual sim)
so the standard ,cwm and ct recovery's are all mounting the wrong areas
there is a recovery program on the alcatel site (mobile upgrade) but evan that installs a naff stock recovery
that cant mount data and formats the wrong partitions when doing a data/system wipe
ive modded 1 rom (kitkat), a stock (modded) recovery and a cwm recovery that all have the correct partition tables for the 4015x
ill be posting links for them soon under a new post just for the 4015X
i will be modding some more of the roms so they can work to
hope all this will help

[Q] Factory reset rooted phone and which rom to install

Hi all I recently rooted my Micromax A116 and desperately need help with following:
1. I used RootGenius to root my phone. I now want to wipe my phone and do a factory reset. I've already backed up important stuff but now need the phone to be as good as new (with root access). How do I go about doing this?
2. Once it's reset, which recovery and rom am I supposed to use? The threads here use other root methods so I don't know what works with what I used. Do I even need a custom rom?
Please talk to me like I'm five because I've basically 0 understanding of all this.
Can someone please help?
Can someone at least tell me if it would be safe to unroot, do a factory reset via settings and then re-root again?
Please help me, I'm desperate.

The first thing you need to do is to install a custom recovery which can be twrp or cwm according to your liking and then download flashable zips of any rom and
go by the instructions given in the rom thread

Why would you want to unroot when you have nothing to install.? doing factory reset simply has no advantages!

Ok but my phone is already rooted but the instructions on the rom threads are for both root+recovery. So I'm concerned if I try to re-root on top of an already rooted device it will cause problems. So what can I do to just install recovery only? there are no instructions for that.

do the following steps..
1.download and install mobileuncle tools.
2.download the latest recovery which you want... either cwm 6.0.5.1 or twrp 2.8.3.0.
3.place the recovery in your sd card in the open i.e., it should not be in any folder.
4. rename the file to recovery. hence the file will be recovery.img.
5.open mobile uncle tools, go to recovery update.
6. 1st option will show the recovery in your sd card.
7.click on it... then press ok... then reboot.
8.Done!

Thank you for replying...I had given up and wasn't expecting a reply at all so didn't check for last few weeks.
So where can I download the latest version of cwm? there seem to be so many versions and most seem device specific. I'm not able to figure out Edit I've downloaded an older version which is mentioned that it works for micromax a116, is it safe to download a later version if its not specified it works with this phone?

Can't boot into recovery mode after flashing ClockworkMod Recovery in Intex Aqua i5

Hello! This is my first post
I am hoping that you guys can give me some pointers about resolving the issue with my phone, I searched around but I can't find anything
I can't boot into recovery mode after flashing ClockworkMod Recovery... It just restarts and boots normally if I try to enter into recovery... I used the instruction from this website to do it: (I am unable to post the link, so I am putting the text in the quote box)
How to install CWM Recovery
Here is what you need to do to flash a custom recovery image – more exactly CWM Recovery – on the smartphone.
First task for you to accomplish: find and then flash MobileUncle MTK Tool on the AQUA i5.
Launch it afterwards. Then be sure you do this: tap the option called Update Recovery and afterwards transfer recovery.img to the phone’s SD card root.
After you have patience for a couple of minutes (not more than five), the CWM Recovery tool will be flashed on the Intex AQUA i5.
If everything went well, your handset should reboot into the custom recovery image. Now your phone is both rooted and installed with ClockworkMod Recovery.
NOTE: In the eventuality of a problem, like for example the smartphone gets stuck in boot loop, you need to solve this by taking the battery out of the device, then inserting it back in and re-doing the tutorial from the first step to the very last one.
The I5 could also surprise you with this issue: getting stuck in “Welcome” screen. For this to go away, you will have to repeat the steps we gave you for the previous problem. All is well now.

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
Unfortunally i couldn't find the device forum for your mentioned one so the better way to ask is to do it here >>> Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Oh, It would be nice if a mod or admin can move this thread over there
ROM manager app may help
if your phone is rooted, then try installing a recovery from app called ROM MANAGER, hope that would help
I already tried that, Its says that my device is not supported
What phone have you got? Full model number?
Intex Aqua i-5.... That is all I know
try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255657
Already tried, Can't get past step 7
7. You will see in the status bar below "Searching", now connect your phone (with battery inserted + Press and Hold Volume Up Key) via the USB cable.

I was confused whether to do it while the phone is switched off or on... I tried both for that reason but no luck
Also, I can't see the status bar change to "Searching too"

i think you might have to reset your whole phone by installing stock firmware again,, this video i found from youtube. use your instinct to trust this video but its entirely your decision.

i wish i could help more.
Thanks
I will try to attempt it again... Will post the results here
Try Cwm rom manager, it will provide you with suitable recovery, otherwise try flashify, same function as Cwm rom manager but with extra recovery such as Cwm,twrp, pliz etc.

switched off... flash tools usually require the device to be off. Did you install the driver correctly?
Yes, I did install the drivers correctly... atleast I believe I did

A50 lock screen recovery?

Hi guys, I have a Samsung A50 of my dad which he recently bought from a store. He works on a financial company and while being there he used
this phone to keep his company data which in some cases are also costumer data which he doesn't afford to lose. On an evening night m mischievous little cousin got his phone
and on the try to open the phone to find games he entered a pattern wrong multiple times which made to lock the phone. I have been searching for things to get this phone unlocked but I don't seem
to find any successful methods.
I get to see a `Lockscreen_FIXER.zip` (from 2014, 8 years ago) but I seem to not be able to flash it. I can successfully boot into recovery mode but can not flash it for some reason, I also put the `.zip` file to the `sd card` or tried `adb` with `adb solidate Lockscreen_FIXER.zip` but either that didn't work out as I clicked "apply update with adb" on recovery mode.
Is there any method to bypass this lockscreen only for once at last?! Thanks so much!!
Hey
Im not an expert i want to point out first
But i anyway want to give my opinion in hopes i can help a little bit
First: this isn't the correct place to post troubles like so, you have a safer bet on posting this on "Question & answers"
Second: If its only data and not apps
You can try properly flashing Twrp because unless the file is no longer supported to get past Android 11 lockscreen
Then its the Twrp you installed
Then connect your phone to your pc
If you have the correct drivers you should be able to see your files in file explorer then copy and paste everything important to your desktop
Then in Twrp just Factory reset so you can use your phone once again
If you cant afford to lose your apps as well
Then you're out of luck on that one buddy

Hello @Nashiro10, thanks for your reply. Okay I will ask in the proper place next time.
I see, at this point I care much more about data inside the phone rather than apps. I have a question when it comes to flash ".zip" files. How do I do it? In my recovery mode I got only "Apply Update with adb and sd card" and these two options needs an OTAPACKAGE as an update. Or I can do the flash using Odin while phone is in the "downloading mode"?
Thank you for your time!

If you want to flash Zip files then you have to do it through Twrp (Twrp being a custom recovery which you can find on this section) since its easier and you have a higher chance that if something goes wrong with the install you'll have an error code
And It know hows to handle more custom style of Files so its probably the stock recovery you're using doesn't know how yo work with the zip file you're giving it
And as far as im aware Odin only works to install system important files (STOCK SYSTEM, recoveries, Data, internal data, etc)
And also used to flash Twrp via Odin
BUT!
What i forgot to ask is that if you have OEM unlock activated in developer settings?
If you dont then you're out of choices because you wont be able to flash your zip file and you wont be able to flash twrp
Which leaves you to restoring your phone with Odin
Dont know if you can access your phone's data through the stock recovery
But if you can then do what i said in the first post then factory reset the phone through recovery

No, I don't have OEM unlocked because my dad populated the phone with data in a short time and to do the OEM unlocking you have to factory reset the phone and OEM Unlock. Idk either if I can recover data using adb because I cannot connect the phone with adb(unless I select "apply update using adb").
It seems I don't have so much choices and if I'm forced to do the factory reset then I will do it...
I don't know how some phone service stations can unlock the phone... what do they do lol magic? Because I had another phone which couldn't boot and they fixed it.
