Hi,
I was on MM and the fingerprint sensor worked some of the time and it wasn't reliable. I decided to use FlashTool to flash the same software to have a nice clean install, however, after I did that the fingerprint sensor stopped working. Every time I try to add a fingerprint, it says put my finger on the sensor and wait for the vibration, but it never worked.
Is there something I have to tick in FlashTool? I am using the right FTF.
Edit: In Service Test > Fingerprint Sensor, it appears to be fine. Also, DRM keys are intact if that matters. I was worried I wiped too many things when I flashed the FTF.
I've also tried adding fingerprints in Safe Mode as well as flashing FTF from a different region (but for the device). I am still unable to add fingerprints
Did you unlock bootloader? I had the same issue afterwards. Fortunately got a new one now, but I'm not unlocking for the moment.

I haven't unlocked the bootloader so my DRM keys and stuff are still here

I updated my Xperia S to the latest version and I decided to try out the new feature-unlocking via face recognition. The problem arose at the beginning of the code, which I gave as an alternative way to unlock did not work. After a few hoursthe application responsible for face recognition also stopped working. And there was a really big problem: I can not in any way unlock the screen, because the code does not work, so I can not hook up the phone to the computer completely, because it requires unlocking the screen. Do you know what I can do now to be able to fully use the phone? Any entry in Safe Mode of FastBoot Mode did not work. Flashtool does not recognize the phone.

do you have unlocked Bootloader? if not you can use the Update Service and reinstal the firmware and everything should be OK ( whit the risk of losing ur data and apps) just like a brand new phone, you mention that you have the lastest firmware so the Update Service will tell u that you already have it, just ignore it and choose to update anyway.
if yout bootloader is unlocked you can relock it and then use the Update Service.

did you by any chance unlock your bootloader? I just unlocked my bootloader this morning (which also includes a factory reset) an now I cannot use my fingerprint any longer for any task (unlock phone, login into paypal etc.) The registration of the fingerprint seems to work but it is not recognised afterwards.
Update 30.05.2016:
Got my fingerprint sensor working again. The reason for not recognizing my fingerprints was the option "allow OEM unlock" enabled in the developer options. After disabling this option unlocking the phone via fingerprint is working again.

I have just been able to restore my phone from a hardbrick, but the fingerprint is not recognizing, I downloaded a program to test the sensor and says that my device has no fingerprint, any idea what to do?
I already changed the ROM, and have already downgraded to test another ROM

It works fine for me and most of the other people here who unlocked their bootloaders. Try relocking i guess

But i forgot to back up persist.img and now my fingerprint is not working.
I tried to search about persist.img so i can download it from anywhere but i didn't find any thing
So can anyone provide me with a persist.img download link for realme 7 pro? please

Sorry to say, but I don't think there's any way as of now to recover the fingerprint, once the bootloader is unlocked and/or the device is rooted, you can't recovery your fp, it's like in the case of Samsungs where KNOX gets altered after unlocking the BL and lose the access to Samsung Pay.
I'm also facing the same problem, and if anyone found a fix, I'd happy to hear it.
I have the same problem of the fingerprint, it is not recovered with the persist.img of another realme? I also have problems with face unlock and fast charging. Will they always be related to persist.img damage?

Sry I was busy this year so I couldn't open,
I solved the problem by going to realme customer service, It was so easy that it didn't cost me ANYTHING!
He just flashed the software of the specific phone using msm download tool and what I mean by specific is the software that was designed just for ur phone like exclusively for ur IMEI.
He said the only problem I did that I didn't flash the correct software for the phone. Hope I helped
