Would it be terribly hard to add a notification led to this phone? Maybe in the little lg logo at the bottom?

My LG Logo is just a sticker. How would that work?
It's a sticker that's depressed in I can cut that out and stick a thin led there and cover it with cut screen protector. I've modded things in the past in such a way but I was wondering how I would get the led to register the notification

[Q] Do you have burn-in on screen of your beloved SGSII
Yes I do have a screen burn which looks like the power off symbol on my bottom half of screen. I have no clue where it comes from though... Never had something like that shown on my display.
It is only visible on brighter gray and if you look close so since I prefer colourful wallpaper I only see it sometimes when pulling down notification bar

I have it also a tiny spot 2mms across which is seen on gray and brighter colors, not that much, almost nothing on dark colors.

Yes, I have slight burn-in from the AOSP Clock (time and the buttons at the bottom).
I've got one above the misdemeanor towards right corner of the screen. Gonna replace screen, never seen on previous exchanges models.

Yes...I've burn in of opera mobile's reload and tabs icon at the bottom... Specially visible when the screen is of near white color! Sad to see it happening so soon
Is it warranty covered? Is there anything else we can do about it?

What brightness are you using?
I never user anything higher than the lowest setting and my screen is fine.

hi. everytime i receive a notification, instead of the flashing blue status light.. i get a steady red light. any idea what could be causing this?
Do you have any led apps that change the color of your led? Or do you have the red charging led indicator notification on?

no extra apps for the LED. and yes i do have the box checked so that it lights up when it's charging.. but my phone is not charging.
Is there a way to change the colors around? I would like to change my notification to green instead of blue

Light flow on the play store, only bug with that is that a green led stays on when you turn off the screen, but I hear the dev is working on it.

turns out the steady red led light happens when there's a facebook notification. is this the same for everyone?
I get blue for texts, red for everything else

I've noticed the same thing. When I get a Facebook notification, it is a solid red light. Other notifications get a flashing blue light. I don't think I've gotten a single notification that uses a green light yet.
Light Flow doesn't work that well for me for some reason, though. I've uninstalled it for now, but it looks like they're working on it for both Jelly Bean and the US GSIII, so hopefully an upcoming update will get us set up.
Hello,
Today I had a couple i777's taken apart that I was fiddling with while I replaced the screen on one, and noticed that there is a location (facing the screen, the top right hand corner) that is just a metal brick. Possibly a heat sink, that could easily be drilled out to install a LED light for notifications! Then I was thinking about the location for soldering the light on, and thought.. Why not solder in line with the camera LED? There are apps that use the camera LED for flash notifications, right?
The only thing is, the camera LED would flash when the notification LED flashed.. Also there could only be 1 color LED, and visa versa, so if you took a picture with flash, notification LED would blink. Not too big of a problem though right? There would not need to be any drilling of the screen either.

You would need a current limiting resistor for the new notification led. If you make the same current available to that led as the high power flash led, you will release the magic smoke.

Right of course! All LEDs need resisters, but some come in Little light sister packages

Or you could use the softkeys for notifications like the rest of us

Pulse notification light
The moto E has a pulse notification light.
:good:
it alerts us for missed calls and texts.
this can be turned off.
but it glows even during incoming calls(not required/annoying).
how to disable this?
You can download the Motorola Notification Light widget from Play Store and switch off the light. Find the app here.
Don't know if this would help you but you may want to check this out.
Is it possible to change the color of light ?
Not possible to change the color

yes. use moto guide module. there is option to use led while charging. But I found the white colour very distracting.

Pulse Notification Light Color
I guess the color of Pulse Notification Light remains white for all the variants of Moto E.
Thanks to LG developers for bringing in some good ideas like this notification light which was later implemented by Motorola for its device!
So my evo display has stopped, soft keys light up and phone boots. Can actually control the touch screen but the display does not show anything, anyone have a suggestion?
