Hey, I don't know if anybody noticed, but there is a black gap on some apps, where the soft keys are supposed to be. One of this app is Snapchat and it's kinda annoying. Googled it, however didn't find any way to fix it, I did find similar bug reports on other devices. The fix for those devices seems to be framework-res.apk modification. Maybe some of the devs could check it out, would be awesome to have this fixed. Thanks!

Can you link to where you found that the fix is a framework-res.apk modification?

Hello everyone, has anyone else experienced this issue?
I have a 640x480 wallpaper which looks great when viewed in album, or in my computer but when applied as a wallpaper, it loses quality.
HTC asked me if I have updated to their latest firmware, did update fix the issue for you?
I've noticed this, it seems to apply for the lock screen as well as the home wallpaper. Running the latest ROM doesn't seem to have fixed it.
Seems like the pictures don't get cropped correctly. The thing is that it happens with all the pictures, despite the fact that they are the correct resolution.
Download Wallpaper Set & Save. It will keep your wallpaper looking nice and shiny
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-android-wallpapersetandsave-jzt.aspx
That did the job, thanks. But the thing is that this is an issue that needs to be fixed by HTC, so that we do not need to have an extra application installed, that fixes it.
WOW!!!...I saw this thread but was convinced there was no real solution, but I was wrong!! Works amazingly well!!!
BTW, does anyone know how to get this to work with the lockscreen? Or what does it exactly do so that I can do it manually with the lockscreen pic?

I'd like to know this also!
Can those on Froyo please report if you're seeing this? I'm seeing mixed responses! Make sure you are using the STOCK Launcher! If you're using another Launcher chances are they used the previous bugged images, that's why.
Note: STOCK Launcher, please. If you're having this bug with another Launcher, feel free to reply but please state which Launcher you're using, and if you can, contact the dev and tell him to fix it . If the dev is interested, prash has fixed those images and they are available here: http://github.com/cyanogen/android_...mmit/afc8145a97ed4a6a1335aa625a4a9b972fb1622a
Hi all,
In Launcher2, the folder images seem to be misaligned. Take a look at the following screenshot (the part between the title and the contents of the folder):
It'd be good if someone could get it fixed! I would but I'm really bad at 9-patch images. MontAlbert has kindly helped me a few times but it's still misaligned, he think it might be due to the code in Launcher2.
Your thoughts/solutions?
This is still an use on Froyo 2.2 as I can see...
ok ill try and this fixed for 2morrow

Not on my 2.2
I fixed this in CM source recently for 2.1, and running froyo now it seems Google has fixed it themselves.

I have it in 2.2
The main problem I see with these folders is not the alignment bug, but simply that they look ugly !
Do you guys think it would be possible to skin them and maybe add a little bit of transparency (or maybe a gradient) in the background ?
What a waste of time! I think this post serves to no purpose. There is no mulfunction here, only a visual misalignment almost invisible. Try to focus on other real problems for example the scrolling of programs on the original launcher. My 2 cents.
rgl12miami: What is your problem? There are people working on code, and people working on graphics as well. prash has put in effort to fix a Google bug, and calling it a waste of time really pisses me off. A bug is a bug, no matter how big or small. If every minor bug was overlooked you'd get a system with many small unimportant bugs?
BlueScreenJunky: Stay on topic? =) There're skinned Launchers, maybe you should check out Themes and Apps section?

Where can I send your $0.02 refund?
I've seen this happen when I edited the background .9 patch file.
Even though the patch file "appeared" to be ok, it rendered exactly like your screenshot.
britoso: Yeah! That's what happened to me back then too. Ok, I just re-tried adding a folder in Launcher2 in CM5.0.7.1, and the bug is still there . prash?
It is fixed on Froyo on both my N1s. It is still, however, a bug in Cyan 5.0.7.1 and it has to be in code somewhere because I couldn't fix the image no matter how hard I tried. I haven't tried pulling in the image from Froyo yet but it probably won't work. It's worth a try, though. And for the record, this is not a "small" bug. It annoys me so much because I use folders a lot and see this bug 500 times a day.
AndroidAppCritic: Thanks for the feedback. I too, believe it is in the code now...
Folder window looks good to me, no problem in froyo. I will do some testing on my side to see if any other luncher changes this. Will report back.

Sure, I could post there, but since I'm not allowed to do so, I expect that maybe someone who uses this very same ROM knows or understands how to use stock lockscreen or something so that this doesn't happen.
Thank you.

it is a framework problem and you can fix it if you get a alternate framework. At present a fix is there but you will loose all the animations and the great texture
If you need lockscreen back and not the texture then flash Part B of the small apps addon
jatinrungta, thanks for the explanation. I will try that.
Besides that, I am very happy with your ROM, congratulations!
Nevertheless, just to be sure, you do acknowledge that that problem (keypad slightly out of the screen to dial the unlock PIN) does exist? Do you think in a near future you'll be able to fix that?
Thanks

Yes I agree with you that the problem exists and it is a framework problem as I already mentioned
I do not know the answer to your question as it is not my framework
Great that you liked it
Now if your work is done can you please request mods to close this thread
Hi
Did as you said (copied PartB.zip to internal storage and flashed it via CW), now I have rebooted a couple of times and used it, and, although stock "look and feel" has returned and my problem of PIN screen lock is gone (cool), I am seeing the message that appears on the screenshot attached to this post all the time. It causes the UI to restart itself, making the wallpaper go black and status bar to disappear temporarily.
Can you help me with it?
From what I could find, is that some themes from the theme store give you this message when trying go get into edge settings. Going back to stock theme solves the issue, BUT the error in the theme also disables the edge stuff. No side clock, no colors, nothing.
Anyone else noticing this? It sucks too as I like the captain America theme, but can't use it due to the above mentioned issues. I also looked for a feedback section in Samsung's theme store, but couldn't find one to let some one know about this issue.

Quick question-- do you have my Cocktail AutoOn mod flashed? I'm curious! Also if you post for me/everyone else a logcat at least I personally will take a look/investigate!

Yep, I got this with that new Space Odyssey theme. Like you said, there is no way that I can find to give feedback.

Sweet thank you! That just confirms for me my mod doesn't cause this! Woohoo! Also if you could send me that logcat, I'll take a look if we can patch it!
FYI. I discovered this issue, too. My S6E is completely stock, unrooted. So far the themes l have downloaded which cause this error are Iron Man, Hulk, Music, Space Odyessy, Stud_ Silver, and Vacation. I've notified Samsung via email, marked these themes as having a bug, and talked with Samsung Advanced Technical Support; who will be reviewing the themes' code for the issue. It has nothing to do with any of Trailblazer101's apps. Not all of the themes cause this error, so it does indeed seem to be a coding error in the themes themselves.
The new Horizon theme, same thing. It's really annoying that they keep putting these in our theme store! If it ain't compatible with the Edge then don't put it in the Edge theme store! It seems to be with the better looking themes that this happens to.
Took the OTA yesterday...it fixed this issue. No more "Unfortunately cocktailbar has stopped"!
Greetings!
I've been searching for a way to truly disable the NavBar on Samsung Oreo, I don't want to just hide the NavBar, I want to truly disable it but I haven't found a way to do this on Oreo yet.
Can anyone help me find a way to achieve this???
Best regards!

It's called "hide navigation bar", you can find it in the download section of the app.
Without root
Is there a way to do it without a root? Like this used to work https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/getting-rid-galaxy-s8-navigation-bar-t3659742
EDIT
I think I have found a solution. Please check my later comment on this thread "https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/getting-rid-galaxy-s8-navigation-bar-t3659742/post76057934#post76057934"
yeah ive been struggling with my nav bar as well. before used to be so simple to remove it. login to the forum just to find threads like this and see if someone came up with a solution without root

Hey thx, it worked. This will do for now.
I do have space on the keyboard just like you do. Hopefully someone comes along who can fix it.

I always ended up spacing out space under the keyboard in the other older method anyway so didn't really notice. I find it's more natural to type a bit higher up.
If it's helped please do check out my thread I made on the method and thumbs it up for others
Hey everyone, I actually found a way to remove status bar completely and not have the space under the keyboard. It requires ADB so you'll need a computer with ADB drivers and us debugging enabled on your device. Depending on your situation (what kind of navigation you want to use; OnePlus gestures, Xhome bar etc) this might not work. I currently use OnePlus gestures. There's a setting you enable to remove the navigation bar but you need to give the app ADB access. You'll as well need an app to enable immersion (I use systemui tuner) The result is no navigation bar. This is the only thing I've got working well for me and OnePlus gesture app can be customized a lot.
I hope this helped, and if anyone needs clarification I'll give it.
