Hi everyone,
I have recently bought a locked Huawei Y600-L01 (3 Ireland) because I was desperately in need of a phone (my own became hard-bricked without any reason apparently ). It worked only with a 3 Ireland sim I had bought previously, but not with my own Italian sim card. Since the phone asked me the unlock code and I didn't know it (I didn't even know it was a thing, since my previous phone was bought unlocked), I simply inserted my sim code ten times and successfully locked the sim on the phone.
Now, when I insert the Italian sim on the phone, it simply says that the sim is locked (despite not being actually locked, since I tried that sim on another phone and it worked perfectly).
As you may now think, I need this phone to be unbranded. The instruction for that phone are really hard to find, though.
While I installed successfully a stock Huawei V100R001C577B040 firmware version + kernel (phone still locked anyway), I can't seem to unlock the bootloader in order to unbrand the phone (at least that's what I understood it has to be done... or not? ).
I tried both with adb/fastboot and DC Unlocker
1 - adb successfully sees the device. If I type first adb reboot bootloader the phone gets stuck on the first boot screen without actually entering the fastboot mode. If I type fastboot oem unlock in this state it says that the operation has failed because the phone is locked.
The only way to turn back to normal is to remove the battery, wait some seconds and then put it back into the phone.
If I don't try to enter in bootloader mode and I just type fastboot oem unlock, <waiting for device> appears and nothing else happens.
I also tried fastboot -w, but <waiting for device> appeared even in that case.
I tried to apply for the code from the Huawei site, but a) when I dial *#*#1357946#*#* for the product number it doesn't appear anything and b) when I tried the Huawei Product ID generator no ID generated would work.
2 - DC Unlocker doesn't even recognize the phone
What should I do?
PS: I would rather not pay for the unlock code, and I also need to use the "locked" sim on the Huawei phone

EDIT: Phone can also go back to normal mode by typing fastboot reboot on PC

Hello!
At the entrance I will add that I have a locked bootloader, and that I have "bootloader unlock alloved no".
Yesterday I've downloaded flash tool and it was there I began the whole story.
- I'm one Unlock the bootloader (via flash mode only), and so it's a total nothing could.
-I have flash the file simlock.ta with firmware T-mobile (simlock.ta i rename to "preset.ta" )
And now this happens:
Phone works normally, but after entering the pin code says that the code has been adopted, then the sim card is not known.
Of course, other phones working fine.
I'll tell you this: I am a developer but sim locks, and so is the case for mne strange thing.
I received from a friend that kind of partition TA was damaged hence this problem and I do not have a copy of the TA.
Any advice besides the service?

so I was unaware that the bootloader unlock was going to be a problem before I purchased this phone... I did some research before making the purchase and it seemed all was good.
I spent $17 with DC for an unlock... all I got was some nonsense "temporary unlock" SO once I run the temp unlock the phone says "unlocked" on both the phone and the FRP.
FYI.. I also tried HCU client... and it can find the phone but then when I hit "unlock" it says something about a COM error and cant get the code... I tried this with 2 different PCs as well.
I was able to then push the TWRP recovery to it via fastboot. I then did fastboot reboot and went straight into the recovery... and no luck. it brings me right into the EMUI recovery.
is there anyway that I can at least get into TWRP temporarily since I do have the temporary bootloader unlock? or any other way that I can push supersu via fastboot?
this is very frustrating...
Ok so I CAREFULLY re read the directions for HCU... HCU is to be run while the phone is still on in the OS. not in fastboot which was my mistake all along.
so the key is to go into the dialer and enable manufacure mode... then run HCU while the phone is still on.
another key is to disable the Huawei software ... IM not sure if this is necessary but I think its a good idea because I noticed that the software itself causes the phone to go back to Hisuite mode instead of manufacturer mode. so I went into windows services and disabled hisuite... and closed out of it.
Hope this helps someone else
and do not waste your money on the DC program!!! you have to purchase your credits from DC but dont use the DC client. I am currently working on getting a refund for my first wasted credits. also they charge 15 credits for this unlock which is $18 USD! but thats not so bad considering I got this phone for $499 from newegg brand new

Temp unlock lets you flash anything (stock images) from fastboot. So essentially you could flash a whole firmware using only images in Fastboot mode.
Twrp don't work as you need to be unlocked to use it, even if you have Twrp it will reboot to sec_recovery when you are locked.
Do you remember wich firmware was in your phone before you unlock your bootloader?

It was c567. The latest one for the bla-a09
how temp unlock for flashing firmware in fastboot not twrp ... i need command thanks in advance
So I got this Sony Xperia X model F5121 from one of my relatives, and I ran into quite a few issues when I tried rooting it. it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: NO, which would mean that i couldn't get into fastboot mode and unlock my bootloader but here's the very specific and weird part: I can get into fastboot mode, at least I believe so. My phone was carrier locked to Vodafone but I payed a professional to unlock that and now I can use every SIM I want. I looked online and the first XDA page said that unlocking the SIM meant that fastboot mode is unlocked as well. So I tried, I plugged my phone in while holding the volume key, a blue light popped up and it meant I was currently using fastboot mode, but when i try doing anything it says "waiting for devices" and doesnt end up working at all. Am I missing some drivers? Is it just impossible? Could one of you be kind enough to provide the needed files and some instructions for this procedure? i'm asking for a lot, I know but if there's anyone kind enough. I'm running the absolute latest version of Android 8 Sony provides.
EDIT: YEs, used adb shell, I have the ADB drivers, I tried the szuzu install or what the TWRP codename for it is, but everything just stops at "waiting for devices" and I can't do anything.
Since you are not allowed to unlock the bootloader - Bootloader unlock allowed - No, there is no way to unlock it and root it. Sorry.
even if you want to try again, make sure to force install googles drivers
instead of sonys
I picked up a secondhand Pixel 4. The seller said that this phone was purchased directly from Google and the only services ever used with it were AT&T prepad and Google Fi, never under any contract. But when I do 'adb reboot bootloader' the device state says locked and the OEM unlock option is greyed out. I have read that some Pixels purchased from Google end up bootloader locked after using Verizon service. If that is the case, is there any hope of getting the bootloader unlocked? Or maybe it got locked by some other means that I'm not aware of. Is there any way to get a history of carriers used with the phone via the IMEI in order to get a better idea of what might be going on?
Also, when I run 'adb shell pm list features' I do notice these lines:
feature:com.verizon.hardware.telephony.ehrpd
feature:com.verizon.hardware.telephony.lte
Does this mean that this is a Verizon model phone? Seems strange that it would have Verizon packages for a Google model phone.
You must have a sim inserted and data turned on for OEM unlocking not to be greyed out. I took a clue I guess from others by inserting my AT&T sim (still greyed out), rebooted (still greyed out), turned on mobile data (still greyed out), and rebooted. Then there was the glorious OEM unlocking option available.
For other clueless people who might read this: I immediately connected my phone via usb to my laptop, shutdown the phone, and held the power and volume down buttons to get into fastboot mode. Then from a terminal on my laptop ran 'fastboot flashing unlock', and the phone gave me the option to unlock the bootloader. adb and fastboot were previously installed.
I have seen other people mention the OEM unlocking option becoming available on their carrier version Pixel phones after inserting a not yet activated sim from another carrier. The latest mention that I saw was here in post #3

Happy days. Just in time for Lineage OS 19.1

Same with my pixel 4 xl, i purchased on second hand market. I check the phone imei offline without other carrier sim and it was an at&t set. However, the bootloader option was not grey out. I quickly, unlock the bootloader after that and installed lineage os 18. . No luck for those whom got greyed out.
