Hey guys. I had my LG G5 H831 for almost a month and I sold it off to a guy who is calling me and telling me that it reboots twice a day and he gets this screen

I have never had any issues with it. Is there any way to fix this?

Definitely a hardware issue for LG to look into. Not sure what warranty/guarentee is avail because of changing ownership - but it should stll be obviously less than a year old.
How do you know it wasn't caused by something he did?
If it was me (and assuming it never had a problem before it was sold), the guy would have to sort it out himself. That is part of the game when buying second hand stuff.
His problem.

Good point. I did unlock the phone right before I sold it to him. Do you think that could have caused that?

A quick search led me to the same answer. Contact your carrier/LG. https://www.google.com/search?q=lg+...i57.10464j0j4&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
The first G5 I received gave that exact screen a couple times and began rebooting then died completely within the first 12 hours of owning it.

Hi all
So....... I dropped my phone and now the screen has an ugly dark patch appear in the corner.
See picture.
The patch has grown over the last couple of days so I am wondering if it is moisture since my gf threw a damp towel on it afterwards just to make things worse!
Anyone seen this before?
Just got back from hols today so was planning on taking it apart but wanted some advice first.
Might be a job for travel insurance, but I'd prefer to keep this one if it is repairable.
Thanks!
NC

Anyone?

Doesn't look like moisture to me, think the drop might have damaged some internal workings. I would just get it fixed under warrenty or in your travel insurance.
Ok thanks for the response. I'll see I can find locally.

Same problem
Hi,
i have the same problem. Dark patch appeared after (a short) drop and got much bigger after a few days.
@N-C have you figured anything out? I would appreciate any hint/advice.
I eventually managed to get it fixed under the warranty. They replaced the screen.
One nice day, I open camera app on my tf201 and I see this on the screen

That sucks. Is it both cameras and did it happen just after the .21 update? If so you may want to try to go back to .15

The camera module is for sure bad. Its a hardware problem that has happened to to many primes. The module needs to be replaced, no software will fix it. It happened to me about 4 days after I unlocked my bootloader.
My friend had the same issue. He called Asus tech support and they gave him some procedures to try. It ended up being a hardware issue and they asked him to send it in for repair.
RMA
I just got the exact same thing. I don't use my camera so never noticed it until today. Called ASUS and am sending it in for repair.
So I'm in VietNam now, how exactly I contact to Asus

over the last couple days my onscreen keyboard has been acting flaky. I cant select so of the letters, e's are r's , s's forget about it. if I rotate the phone it works. do you think the digitizer is bad?
There is a touch screen test app in the play store that you could try, and you could also try a different keyboard and see if there are similar problems.
I hope that halped.
wow, it is screwed.there is about 1/2 inch band top to bottom that you cannot use

Hm, phone recommendations now? This is quite off-topic here, not to mention there are several other threads about this already...
Get a replacement digitizer with the bezel off eB!ay and search YouTube for a guide to replacing it. I've done it twice now and I'm rubbish at fixing things usually!
I've had my S4 since July and my battery would always last me until at least 8pm every night without needing a charge. Since 4.3 dropped and I've updated to it my battery life has gone to complete crap. I've used all the wakelock apps and none of them show anything out of the ordinary so I thought it was OS related and did a factory reset. That didn't work so I ordered a new battery from Amazon and gave it a 100% charge and this is what it looks like.

I've read countless threads of people with bad battery after update but not one of them has a solution. Should I do another factory reset since I got a new battery? Keep in mind I can't root this phone because it was given to me from Samsung for work so that is out of the question.
I ordered this one because a friend of mine has it and he hasn't had any issues with it so I figured I'd give it a shot http://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-SGH-...TF8&qid=1391625055&sr=8-2&keywords=s4+battery
So maybe try another reset/clear cache with the new battery?
I use anker batteries and I think they're great. If you ever thought of trying another one give one of those a shot.

The problem isn't batteries though because it started happening when using my regular oem battery.
Oh I know I was just throwing that out there

I find that when tempreture reach some limits, some cores will be deactivated by system automatically, it will even deactivate the super core and two bigger cores which makes my device too stuck to scan a QR code. How can I prevent this? I already disabled the system app thermal control.
