Bricked SD card - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I have a Sony 32gb MicroSD card with the following issue. I formatted it as internal storage and after a while performed a factory reset on my phone. As it would be expected, I get the unsupported SD card notification, with the option to reformat it. Unfortunately, attempting to format it in the phone fails. Windows shows it as incorrectly having a 17mb partition and the rest of the space as unknown. The files it had on it are listed correctly, such as the android data folder, but I still cannot format it. I tried various tools both under windows and linux and the SD card with no success.
The phone by the way is an LG G2 mini with official cyanogenmod 13 on it.
Any help?

[Q] Huawei Ascend- SD card beyond redemption?

I've been having problems with the SD card on my Cricket Huawei Ascend for a long time. I cannot download anything on any browser, it will only result in an error saying I do not have enough space. When I mount the SD card, there are no files visible on my PC, and I have tried formatting it, but unmounting it will only have the phone return it from it's 944mb of free space after I formatted to 875mb of free space with 4 files- busyboxstericon, ComFile.dat, crash.txt, and toolbox-stericson. These files return no matter what I do. Moving files from the PC to sd card will only be wiped when I unmount it. Any solution, or is it beyond redemption? I've also tried some solutions like the SDformatter program, and windows chkdsk, but they have not worked. I also factory reset my phone out of desperation, but no.
Try the HP format utility. Don't use the windows one.

Access/Backup previously formatted SD card as internal storage in Android

Hi, I formatted my SanDisk 16gb card as Internal Storage for my Android Marshmallow 6.0 Moto G 2nd Gen XT1068 *rooted* device. So far so good, the problem is that my phone was failing really bad yesterday not sure why, it won't move files from internal to the sd card so it was running out of space and the whole system started failing. I was not able to backup my SD card neither, because my developer options were blocked so no USB debugging available., I tried everything I found online, from stoping removing cache from Media internal app and some others, etc, and nothing worked.
So I decided to restore my phone to stock.
I did this and now it works fine, however it does not recognize my SD card (because it was formatted as internal storage with the "previous" device) so now I have a 16gb SD Card (4GB occupied) inaccessible to make a backup.
Is there a way to gain access to this SD card so I can move out all the files I've in there so I can format it again as internal storage?
Any information missing please ask,
Thanks in advance,
Denis.

Adoptable Storage went wrong, issues trying to revert

Greetings and Salutations,
I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 running the stock ROM and bootloader, Android 6.0.1, Kernel 3.10.49-9058927, with 16GB internal storage, and a 128GB U3 microSD card (not 100% sure of SD card speed, its above class 10), the phone is the 2016 version (subtle changes from the 2015 apparently) and has not yet been rooted.
I tried to enable adoptable storage to get a couple of apps to run better, but I want to revert back and seek a different solution, namely rooting and using Link2SD.
I tried the standard method of adoptable storage, and the option was not present in the storage screen on my phone. I tried using adb, and got timeout messages on the sm partition disk:179,64 private command. (Enabled USB debugging, accepted connections, installed samsung drivers, adb server daemon and shell all started successfully). Eventually it showed the sd card as corrupt. I popped it out of the phone, and deleted the partition on my computer, leaving raw, unformatted space on the card. I reinstalled the sd card in the phone, and the format as internal option was now present. I hit that, let it run and tried to migrate data afterward. Migrating always failed between 30 and 45%, and it showed me at 15.92GB or more out of 16GB used. I decided to revert back. I reformatted the sd card as portable in the phone, and it corrupted again. I did the same process, but elected to format as fat32 on my computer. Reinserting the sd card, it asked to format, so I did, as portable. The sd card appears to be back to normal, but I'm still at almost 16GB used on the phone. I tried to delete some music files that I have on the SD card as well, and they won't delete from the internal memory. It always says "could not delete" or "Delete operation failed". I have used the built in file manager, ES file explorer, and I believe I tried on my computer last night (it was getting late, but I remember at least trying). All fail to delete the files. I'm down to very few apps, none can be moved to the SD card, and I can't move much data otherwise. I harbor a suspicion that some hidden files are present on the internal memory, but I could be paranoid. I'm hoping to avoid a factory reset, but I fear that's the only option. I have a backup of the sd card, but not the phone's internals beyond what google saves in the cloud. I'm open to suggestions, and thanks in advance.

Can't format SD card : Android

Hello ! I have an isssue with 2 sd cards. When I insert an sd Card inside my phone, it says "looking for errors" then I have a message that say "SD card is corrupted, tap here to format it" then it says "unable to format sd card".
I can use that SD card on pc and i tried to format it but when it's on my phone it's not working...
I have an XPERIA E5
Hi,
Seems obvious, but can your phone support the size of the SD? Some are limited 32, 64, 128...
Depending on your computer OS you might have to possibility to format at different level(quick, or deep - if I remember well) and set the type FAT, FAT32, NTFS. The standard for SD cards is, if I got it right, FAT32
What version of Android are you running, what manufacturer? Has your card ever worked on that phone before?
Has the card been inserted in other android devices (encrypted, specific to manufacturer)?
Many questions, but it's difficult to help you otherwise
