Hi there folks!
Hope someone can tell me ANYTHING to keep me from losing it completely...
I upgraded to an X10 mini pro from my Nokia 5530 a few weeks ago, and aside from a minor issue where the hardware keyboard appeared to be dying (It 'lost' the symbol button, acting like I had disabled the Default Input - regardless of how the default input checkbox was set. Turns out it was a hair or something inside the keyboard itself, who knew?!)
Anyway. The BIG feature the Nokia had that I REALLY liked was it's ability to play music on a bluetooth headset.
Now, the headset I use is one glommed from a Playstation 3 kit - It's high bandwidth, if a little bulky compared to the true phone ones, but handles audio as well as a wired headset, up to around 15 feet after which is starts to fade a bit.
I had it working well on the Nokia, it behaves relativly well on the PC, despite the chassis blocking the dongle back there, but I cannot, CANNOT for the life of me, make it work on the X10 Mini Pro.
It works with VOICE just dandy, with all it's superb range and definition.
But music stubbornly refuses to play through it.
Is this an X10 thing? Is it an Android thing?
I searched a fair bit before posting this, but while people have discussed several bluetooth issues, none of them really seem to address exactly this problem.
Am i missing some awesome (But overlooked by me) app? Am I weird for not wanting to have wires wrapped around me while cycling?
Please help a hopeless n00b!
Dude........
I have the X10 mini and my DELL BH200 headset works great with it.
No problems...
Check if you have kept the headset in discovery mode or not...

It allows you to listen to music through it then? Because thats what I need. Aside from that, mine already works perfectly...
The headset itself syncsby holding the power button for a few seconds, and drops out of sync mode once its linked to the host.
Like I said, the headset works perfectly aside from not playing music. Een while connected, it ONLY plays music from the phone speaker.
Yes you can play music thru bluetooth with any android device. Android is fully A2DP and AVRC compatible.
It must be your headset.
I use three different bluetooth headsets with absolutely no problems. Music, movies you name it. No lag (as I had in my ipod)

Okay, thanks for the replies! I will start trying out other headsets come payday! Being tightfisted I wanted to avoid the necessity but if you guys are having not trouble then it looks like I must bite the bullet.
Cheers!

Hi,
Does anyone know how to enable the change track buttons?! I´m using a Jabra BT3030 and it´s working fine to adjust volume in spotify but i cannot change track...
I'm using Sennheiser bluetooth headphones and didn't change any setting to be able to change track, worked out of the box, but with the default player. I know that doesn't help you a lot; does your Jabra work ok with other devices; possibly it's a Spotify problem?

Yes, i was anle to do it on iPhone and android without any problems. But i found the issue now. I´m able to change track in the built in music app but not in Spotify...so it´s a spotify issue.
As for cabled headphones, what about pressing play button twice or three times? (twice makes it next track, three times makes it previous one). If this works it might be that WP doesn't recognize the other buttons on your headset. I'm just improvising, as a matter of fact I don't know anything about this stuff.

Actually that works with cabled...will test this later with my Jabra headset...but it´s kinda anoying that i cannot use the forward and back button on the headset when using spotify. It works in the built in app so i´m sure Spotify will sort it out in future updates.
I`ve a problem with listening to music on my L9. I use Poweramp player. When I set the volume full to show the information about a fact that is not healthy blah blah blah ... and after a few minutes of listening to disconnect the headphones. Plug it in again, I set the volume almost full, and again the same problem. Headphones work fine. In winamp I do not have this problem. How do I fix this?

Ahh, I am guessing English is not your primary language. This may be bad headphones, bad application, or a bad phone. Try another pair of headphones and try the youtube app.

No, it`s not. I tried on other headphones and it is still the same. At maximum volume phone stops see headphones-I do not know how to precisely call it. Just disconnects. On the polish android forum I've seen that not only I have a problem with that, however, no one can find a solution.

I have a P769BK. Maybe someone with your model can help you. You could also try a different firmware.
AW: Problem with music listening
Headphones should work, also the crappy Headset coming with the phone.
I encountered similar problems with a headset and a multimedia headphone adapter for Symbian phones.

First thing first.....How is built-in LG Music is doing? Is it working fine with speakers and headphones, etc?
Maybe he's talking about the volume limiter? Whenever you plug in something to the headphone jack, it pops up a notice about restricting volume and/or listening to volume at high levels can cause injury. I know that when plugging the L9 into something as a line-out, I have to crank the volume to max AND crank the volume of whatever speaker/device it's attached to.
For comparison, running the same app and music via a bluetooth media device the volume is equal to that of my iPhone. AKA: it sounds "normal." So it's using some sort of volume limiter on the 3.5mm out as far as I can tell, and I haven't been able to find a way around it. Though I haven't been looking too hard.
There´s this auto-volume-down mechanism, which allows to re-up the volume to max afterwards. But also the phone (P760) seems to follow the EU regulation, which is obligatory for toys only. Volume set to max is still not loud enough for me, as with my Nokia phones. But with Poweramp and Music Folder Player you can get a bit of extra juice, which is sufficient to me. For rooted devices there´s an app to directly control the Linux ALSA sound interface, but I won´t need that.

I just got my SBH52 and test on ZU, failed to listen to music and I was thinking about the SBH52 device issue.
then I connected the SBH52 to iphone 5 with iOS7. no problem at all.
I think we need Sony to fix this firmware.

I don't see any problem about the sound quality so far . But look like after update the new version of "Smart Connect" on Google Play, the connection between ZU and SBH-52 with full function such as phone log, messages...that access on SBH-52 does not establish. Then I've removed the update version and it back to normal again!.
My ZU and SBH52 has same problem (cannot access clock, call log, message, listen music and call only), i have uninstall update of Smart Connect then my SBH52 connected normally

I have Sony SBH-50 and two devices Nexus 7 2012 (Android 4.4) and Sony Xperia SP (C5302 Android 4.1)
I have similar sound quality issue with my Nexus 7 device but with Sony Xperia SP I have no issues.
Just in case somebody checked BT sound quality on other devices with Androind 4.3+.
Maybe the issue related to Android's BT enhancmets?
Having similar issues my self there is a crackling when running music tracks and pairing up issues too. This all started after the 4.3 update.
I have unistalled and re installed the app couple times but to no positive results.
for me I hear a very slight hickup about every ten minutes when i stream audio over bluetooth, I did not have this before on 4.1
I did a factory reset when I installed the 4.3 and I dont know why this is happenning when I use my iphone on my car stereo it plays flawless
it seems there are issues with bluetooth in 4.3
aptx
I was on. 290 and didn't had any issue with my sennheiser mm400x which has aptx bluetooth profile. Just to let you know
Hi everyone,
does anyone else also have problems with bluetooth audio? I'm using my z5c with two different audio devices (car stereo and a jbl bluetooth box) and the audio signal is stuttering quite often. I tried using different apps (so far Audible and Deezer) and with both I get the stuttering. When I disable and enable bluetooth again sometimes it works fine for a while and then it turns bad again. Most of the times the stuttering is back immediately after reconnecting. The same happens after restarting the app. When I'm switching to headphones or the internal speaker I don't have any stuttering at all.
Any ideas on how to fix this? If it stays with Android 6.0 I might have to send the phone in.

Had that happen a few times. Stuttering not related to distance or other apparent reasons. Also phone slows down like crszy sometimes. I think stock rom is plain ****.
Happens very often when using Garmin Fenix 2 with HR monitor in the same time. If the watch is to close to phone then sometimes I hear nothing - but I think it's Garmin's fault.
Doesn't happen at all in my case
I have not noticed any stuttering while connected to the Bluetooth in my car (Acura TSX) or my Homewerks Bluetooth speakers in my house.
This is CONSTANT for me while using a variety of bluetooth headphones/speakers. Usually if I pause the music for a moment, it'll stop doing it for a while. But it's driving me insane today. I do usually have the phone paired with a Moto 360 as well, but I haven't noticed a difference whether it's connected or not.
Strange. I use BT audio all the time with 3 different BT devices, and never experience stuttering. I do use a 3rd party player (GoneMAD Music Player), not sure if that is part of it.
I had this issue constantly with my Z Ultra, had no issue with my Z3 Compact, after ~4 months started having it constantly with my S6 Edge, and I noticed it twice with my Z5 Compact.
I think it's something Android related rather than something Sony-specific (and definitely not phone-specific).
I use it with a wireless Sony loudspeaker. My z3 compact never stuttered. My z5 compact (with the same speaker) does stutter a little, especially if i hold it. If it's on a table it is fine.

I don't experience stuttering at all, but I do however have the problem that the audio is too loud... Even on the lowest setting, audio through bluetooth headphones is almost too loud to listen to
Having connected the Z5 Compact to a Sony SBH-20 Bluetooth headset, I can confirm the stuttering issue. With music coming from Play Music the stutter happens sometimes and will not stop appearing until I stop and start the music. This also happens with navigation voices from Maps app.
Is this a Z5 Compact specific error or Android 5.x? My Motorola Razr i (4.4) never had this issue.

Not sure if this applies to every case, but the stuttering in my case I found out was due to accidentally touching or holding the phone near the fingerprint sensor.
What this generates is a music playback gap (no phone vibration or other sound, which makes hard to understand what is happening). Tested with bluetooth headphones, Sony AS600BT.
I am having all kind of issues using audio on Bluetooth devices... And I have to do the pairing again every time I want to use one of these devices. It never connects automatically. I don't know if the app Throw or Smart connect have something to do with it.
Is this issue commonplace? I regularly use several pairs of Bluetooth headphones to listen to music with my phones. I've never had an issue with any Android devices stuttering over Bluetooth (Not since the Droid X2, anyways.), so I'm concerned by this. I had a Lumia 950 XL that had the issue, but a replacement seemed to solve that.
Just wondering, as I'm expecting my Z5c to be delivered Monday. Sorry for the necro!
I have the same issue with my Sony Z5 Compact, Audio through Bluetooth was working perfectly fine before Android 6.0 Software update, since the update the audio is very choppy/stuttering quite badly, even if the bluetooth earphones/reciever (Sony SBH20) is sat untop of the phone, I have tried different recievers/earphones, tried turning all apps off, turning wifi off, switching bluetooth on/off etc tried different music apps... tried most things, it happens at home/office and happens outside too, so my guess it's a Sony Bluetooth issue that has been effected by the Android Update.
Stuttering/chopping badly here as well... Using BT to a 2016 Volvo. Especially if the phone is used at the same time, no matter the load.
Had no problem before Marshmallow.
it's interesting... the last 5.x update solved the problem on my phone and the marshmallow update didn't change the fact... have you tried to reflash the firmware?
Found a possible solution which at least works temporarily in my case. Stuttering didn't happen since I performed the following:

Hi everyone,
I resolved Bluetooth audio stuttering on my Z5 Compact by wiping the cache partition.
This can be done the following way:
1. Go to Home screen
2. Press and hold both keys 5 seconds : Power + Volume Up
3. The smartphone should vibrate 3 times when done, and shutdown
4. Power on
The issue should be fixed.
This works on my Z5 Compact, I hope this can help you too.
