Hi everyone, i am new at this forum and android devices, i searched for 2 days but cannot find exact answers for my problem
I bought an iphone 4s clone which the seller said that name is Gooapple V5 3G, android 2.3.5 is installed on it, but when i installed antutu benchmark and look at the system info, it is written:
Phone Model:
Parrot
Brand:
Mediatek
CPU Hardware:
MT6573
CPU Model:
ARMv6 Processor
CPU Frequency:
634.06 MHz
Screen Resolution:
320x480
......
Android Version:
2.3.5
Build Number:
ALPS.GB.FDD2.MP.V3.9
Kernel:
Linux version 2.6.35.7 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC) #1 PREEMPT Thu Jun 28 14:01:43 CST 2012
and when i push '-' and power button together first Mediatek appears and after choosing version:
BB Chip: MT6573
MS Board. : lightning73_gg
Modem Ver. : MAUI.11AMD.W11.37.SP.V2, 2011/10/14 02.55
UBoot Ver. : 2010.06
......
is written.
First of all i am looking a rom which is android 4 for this phone. I searched for that and i saw that there are some phones with android 4.0 which has the MT6573 cpu. Do you know are there any rom like this which i can install on it? Are gooapple v5 3g roms compatible to this phone?
Also i installed the usb drivers for this phone and rooted the device, but i cant reach the sd card from pc, in my computer there occurs a removable device but not accesible. What is the solution of this?
Thanks
first of all, there are no mt6573 based smartphones out there, running android 4.0 . maybe someone is porting ICS to the mt6573, but right now i can not find 4.0 for it. there are phones put there with faked Android version, such as 4.0.9 or something.
yes, you can install different Roms on your device, but you have to port them first.
I have no answer for your question, maybe the SD card has a switch for read only?
i used wrong rom and lost the system of the device, now i need correct rom, is there anyone who has correct rom of this?

i know this but this device is not gooapple
ahh sorry, my fault. i just flight over your post, it was late. mybe some aditional informaton ( pictures of the phone, the back, the back without battery...
those version numbers or names can be faked easily, it is hard to say what phone you have with the given information. greets, chris
you have to reflash your stock firmware.
i found the rom that works correct but i dont like ios interface on it. now i m looking for a rom which has android interface
use this tool to backup your current working firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683883
and upload your Rom somewhere ( i only need boot.img and system.img ). I'm interested in the IOS interface and i can port almost all available mt6573 ROM's to your device.
I am currently working on a custom Rom with Cyanogenmod Settings,DSP manager, ICS themed , ext2 support and much more.
if you are interested, i can make you a flashable zipfile.
w w w.4shared-china.com/rar/GyMPoJuc/mt6375-236gps_backup.html
this is the rom i m using on my phone, all .img files in it
i dont like ios interface because it has lots of differences from real ios interface, text characters, icons, menus have lots of mistakes
and also roms for this device work too slow, is it possible to make lite and android gui custom rom for this device?
look at the pictures in my last post, this is a custom ROM made by me. the Mt6573 isn't that fast, but i tried to make a fast ROM for it.
it is working pretty fast right now, no chinese apps and a lot of customization you can do . there are a lot of ROM's out there, some are good, some are pretty bad. like i said, i can make a flashable zip for your device, so you can try out my ROM.
i can try if you can make a zip for me, this would really help me
also i have another problem with the rom which i gave the link of it, the network problem
if the gsm signal become too low, restricted access changed - voice service blocked error occurs, in my home and office signal is too low so i cant use the phone, do you know any solution for this?
i will make one asap, maybe your networking problems are gone with my ROM. im from Germany, have no problems here with the signal at all.
maybe your smartphone is just ****ed up, we will see later.
you got these problem too, before you got the new ROM? maybe the Baseband drivers are wrong or something...
Press VOL + and power toegether, what Recovery shows up? a standart mediatek one or do you already have a custom recovery?
i didnt use the phone with sim card before this rom so i dont know
recovery screen is standard mediatek
there you go! this is a clockworkmod recovery for your phone. just flash it with Flashtool and try it out! flashing a new rom becomes pretty easy with it. hope it will work, give me a quick response if it isn't working.
edit:
some minor tips: dont flash the preloader in any case, this could damage your phone, if it is the wrong one!!!
and always make a backup of the existing images!
i flashed with flashtool and didnt flashed preloader, dsp_bl, changed the recovery.img with the one you gave, nothing changed same ios gui, did i do something wrong?
do you have whole new rom for this device which includes all the image files in it? the one i shared here is too slow and some problems
the file i given you is ONLY the recovery, after flashing try it out with phone off and hold VOL+ and POWER, the recovery screen shows up with clockworkmod recovery.
the fully rom ( including boot.img and system.img) needs more work, i haven't the time to do it yet. just give me a day for it. porting a Rom to a diffrent screenresolution needs more work, cause my device is 480x800 pixels, yours only 320x480. i have to say, there can be some failures because of the different resolution, but this can be fixed easily.
the custom recovery i gave you is necessary for flashing new roms easily.
Hello guys.
I bought a Chinese phone it suppose to be ( Lenovo A8) but when i got the phone i found it where totally different on the Lenovo A8. and it come with android 4.2.2 so i tried to upgrade the phone to 4.4.2. and i found a ROM for CUBOT s208 run on my phone with some problems.
* Camera Not working, even there was no icon for camera.
* No wakeup and air gesture in this ROM but i was have them in my Original ROM.
* Notification light keep working all the time.
MY PHONE SPECS are( 1.3 cpu MTK 6582, 5 inch screen qHD, 8 gb ROM).
is there any programming way to make the phone working 100%.
Or can i get the Camera source code/driver from my Original ROM.
Regards and thanks.
Dose any body have the answer ?

Camera is not working because you are using ROM designed for some other device. I dont know what type of ROM you flashed, but you can find out about porting Cynagenmod ROM to your device at Cynagenmod's website :
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_porting_intro
BTW Jumping from one Android version to another just by flashing the ROM is risky business. If the preloader gets overwritten with mismatched type, you can hard-brick the phone.

Sorry folks if this is already somewhere here but i have not found it after already a few days of browsing.
I am looking for a lightweight (dont really care if vibeui, aosp, etc), stable (daily usage), fully working ROM (no problems with led notif, compass, etc), preferably 4.4.2. KitKat for chinese version of Lenovo P780 manufactured after 03/2014 and all other tools (custom recovery etc). What is essential, that i need to repartition the internal memory for maximum space for apps.
My current is 4.2.1 P780_S136_140306 , baseband : P780.V16, 2013/07/03 17:08 , i have a dtae on battery 140410 and 2014/05 on box. From what i gather this is a new 2014 version and on this one you should use ROMs based on 4.4 KitKat ??
So far i have found only two ROMs suitable, but not all criteria are met:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/slx-rom-lenovo-p780-t2722775 - based on 4.2 JB, so probably not working on new version ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/alice-project-lenovo-p780-android-4-4-3-t2983584 - default memory partitioning
Any other suggestions ?
Is there any repartition script working for CN version (AromaFM working for CN version?), specifically for 03/2014+ version -- ?
So far i have found out for any flashing via SP Flash tools i need to use modified preloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2934284&d=1410527296 -- check
I did not found any custom recovery specifically mentioning this new version, but it looks like recoveries working ok for this new version -- ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/recovery-multiple-recoveries-lenovo-t2962970
is there any specific version of SPFlash Tool and drivers to be used for this new version -- ? - i guess not but just to be sure, which are best to be used
Any modems to be flashed after flashing ROM (freqs in my country are GSM 900/1800, W-CDMA 1900/2100 ) -- ?
Any more thing i should be aware of ?

Hi. Did you try to OTA update your ROM? This could be the best ROM for you.
Or you can flash any rom here with flash tool, but do not forget to change preloader. For zip files there is no problem with the preloader because zip files are using the existing one.
Custom recoveryes you can find in Clarliv post i tested there one and is for China ROM VIBE UI 2.0. What can i tell: it is working.
SP Flash Tool for Lenovo P780 you will find in my post Rooting Tutorial for KITKAT. DO NOT USE OTHER.
For modems you have my post How about some modems.

OTA updates are failing on my ROM , i guess they were disabled on purpose by the seller. Tried to repartition with http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/general/p780-repartition-storage-t2668744 but its not working.
Flashed back stock rom via FlashTools and i tried SLX ROM for CN version http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/slx-rom-lenovo-p780-t2722775 , but it always says that the PhoneStorage/SD card is damaged and you cant install any apps.
I have also tried latest official VIBEUI 2.0 (from here http://bbs.lenovo.com/vibeui-fabu/t542102/ in chinese ). It is actually pretty good and nice (only if thay used a stock app drawer and not the one like MIUI/iOS). But it leaves even less internal storage. And it does not have GAPPS and i was unsuccesfull to install these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 (it said insufficient memory to install, although there was 1GB free on internal memory, propably a small system partition ??). I tried pico and nano.
-Actually if i was able to repartition for max memory and install GAPPS this will be a good option.
As for the recoveries i can confirm CWM based from Carliv's post works with this 2014 version. I will update his thread later.
I will try next the Alice project ROM.
Also i have a idea to use g00dvin's ROM http://lenovo-forums.ru/topic/6863-lenovo-p780-... for repartition and then flash official VIBEUI via recovery, if that will leave the partitions intact. And try different GAPPS if i will be able to install them
Modems will be last thing to mess with
The device is Lenovo S860. Chipset Mediatek 6582, 1.3 Gh Quad-Core. Tried to port roms from many other models, the most of them work just fine, but i can't get to solve the sound problem. There is no sound at all. Someone said that it could be the specific sound drivers that this model has... And when i tried to copy all of lib files that respond for the audio, from stock to port rom, i get bootloop. What i think now, is that this model have a specific sound\audio drivers (maybe nvram). I wish i am wrong.
I'm not a rom maker, so any idea would be just great. Cheers.
Here's a link where are posted 2 roms whit android 4.2.2, and a KITKAT rom,:

Guys can anyone test and update here.
I found an issue while receiving calls, the network drops and call gets disconnected
Outgoing calls work Like a charm as I only tested this ROM for outgoing calls. Had been on outgoing calls for hours on this ROM but didn't realized the incoming call issue.
Thnx
EDIT
Plz give full permissions to Telephone app. this will fix the incoming call error
Enjoy

Hi Mohammed
great work with this rom,
just need some clarification, will this ROM work for innjoo fire (standard)?
16GB onboard and dual sim
seems this phone is labelled differently in different countries, even through specs identical
here in RSA its labelled innoo fire, but outside it seems identical to i2S
is it safe to flash this Rom? have you tried this before?

I cannot say it surely coz innjoo is selling fire devices in middle east as well
If u wanna try it, use the recoveries available for i2 (twrp & philz)
If the device boots up then you are good to go
Remember that all ur data will be lost when u wipe ur device to flash any new rom and wrong roms or recoveries may result in dead devices
Only way out will to to flash the stock rom using SP Flash tool (if it's a soft brick)
You are doing all this at your own risk
Best of luck

thanks for the Advice mohammed,
Im still trying to confirm its the same device, by getting you CPUZ info before I try anything,
I would rather be cautious and get you the correct info to advise me if its safe to proceed or not.
Hi Mohammed,
I have attached below the screenshots of my phone specs,
please advise if this will work for me, before I give it a try and brick my phone inadvertently
.
Will it work for i2s

The Chipset is different in your device (MT6582 - Quadcore) than the one in i2 (MT6592 - Octacore)
I2 has only 1GB RAm, ur device has 2GB
i2 has HD screen (720p) urs is lower resolution
so there is a big chance this will not work
I don't have that device so can port it either
Should I report my stock and the rr ROM newly since I have a i2s

If u mean u can flash it on i2s, u can if u have a twrp or Philz recovery working for ur device
I would recommended to backup ur current ROM using the backup feature of these recoveries and then flash
