Should be good unless you have camera issues like past kernels. Which is fixable
Ok.Testing now with Sixperience v3.1 (S7 edge port for g900f) and even ported S7 camera works with none fc..
So far great.....

I nearly went blind trying to read that text, I think I found the download for the kernel
flashing for super awesomeness now...
So help needed- I need suggestions for new kernel setting apps. Preferably something I can add download support to. Kernel Adiutor seems to have gone dead and hasn't had any update in over 3 months.

I've been using Kernel Toolkit for over a year now. I have never had any major problems with it. It also gets updated on a pretty regular basis.

How can I get rid of that volte icon? And I keep losing my WiFi connections on restart. I've read about a fix before but I can't find it.

Installed and I lost root. Also had a ton of random reboots I tried almost all of the governors and still random reboots. I'm running the latest version of Thunderbolt, maybe that could be the reason why. I know @malbert16442 has an alpha MM stock Rom so maybe it's only compatible with similar roms. Idk I just know that I had a ton of Issues on Thunderbolt.

keep the requests coming and ill see what I can do
lol @ changelog:
slimmed down (by a lot)
lots will be missing/non-functional
did some other stuff (vague)
My first tip would be to be more clear and explain exactly where your rom differs compared to stock... I often see very vague descriptions and claims regarding roms (tweaks and mods, improved performance).
But I understand you're working on that so I'll wait until things become a bit more clear. Good luck and I'll keep an eye out.

Here you go..
Seems fine. Booted normally. Set up worked fine. In os seemed identical to virtuous
Since i cant tell what you did over virtuous , im just going to restore my nandroid of Virtuous v2 to spare me restoring all my apps and settings
But there you have it. It works.
Edit: I would be willing to do more tests for you today/this weekend, but only if you tell me specifically what changes to look out for
New one is up, see changelog, my site went down so the DL links are in OP
Bad idea to have completely new people to flashing in the general section testing roms you havent at least booted yourself when this unlock is completely half assed and **** can still be dangerous and unrecoverable.
Just sayin.
Actually kind of funny. I don't want to take a chance screwing my Prime up, but please load this into yours and let me know what's happening.

I understand what both of you are saying, I am personally just holding off to see if we can get a bootloader unlock without losing warranty. As for people flashing this I want to make this clear
if you are not comfortable with adb, AND don't enjoy soft bricking you prime don't flash these builds
These are the test builds that I would normally do while creating a ROM

Yea the kernel flashing method is a little different on the prime. Jermaine and Virtuous's current rom have the current one if you arent using it. If you flash it wrong it causes brick #3 which I have recovered from a few times.
Ooh and thanks for the thanks for testing out your first version of the rom

UPDATE
Over the past week and a half I have done a lot of work on this ROM, I have not been updating this because I am working on the kernal flashing issue,
I have also learned to create apps and have been working on an AL60R!THM app to go with the ROM , getting the app working perfectly is the reason for the huge delay. A release is imminent

What are the frequencies and what governors included? How is it compared to drowningchild's modded kernel?
Goes up to 864, no undervolting and no smartass governs. Pretty smooth and no reboots or glitches so far. I run 806 on demand.

Welcome to xda, we need developers for Espresso over here.
The first version of kernel seems to be a little more smooth than drowningchild's, although there was no smartass governor. Going to try version #2. The only thing I'm missing is 120 Mhz frequency. Also adding some more governors would be good too.

Haha, yeah. The Slide isn't that popular in the US, so it doesn't have that many dev support. Naturally that means people on this forum are usually oldies who know what the device can and can't do already, so less of them will actually check the forum. Not many new members.

Can you please also bring some roms for Espresso to xda if there are any new ones on bbs. I visited that website with the help of Chromeplus page translator, but the translations don't make much sense
One thing that caught my eye over there was that Sense 3.5 rom with Beats Audio, i'm not sure how much it will help WhoAreYou in terms of his Sense 3.5 rom because they also have broken wifi.
on a side-note: bbs forums are way too colorful for prolonged forum browsing, just looking at it hurts my head.

YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE DooMLorDs CUSTOM RECOVERY AND KERNEL IN ORDER TO FLASH THIS ROM!!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE TWO THINGS THEN DON'T FLASH THIS ROM!!!
If you want to use Stock Kernel Follow the directions below after flashing this ROM and booting it up first!!!
1) Put Galaxy Task ROM on your Tablet
2) Backup all the apps you want to keep with Titanium Backup
3) Make a Nandroid Backup in CWM
4) Wipe Cache Partition, Wipe Dalvik Cache (In Advanced), & Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5) Choose install zip
6) Done!!! REBOOT!!!
To use Stock Kernel follow these directions only after following all the steps above!!!
1) After the above steps and reboot move on to step #2
2) Download both of these files and put the wifi modules zip onto your tab ( http://goo-inside.me/devs/task650/HTC_Jetstream/stockjetstreamboot.img) (http://goo-inside.me/devs/task650/HTC_Jetstream/Stock_wifi_modules.zip )
3) flash the stockjetstreamboot.img with fastboot
4) Then in CWM recovery flash the wifi modules.
5) Done!!! You should have working wifi with stock kernel
(You MUST be on V2 to flash V3!!! Just wipe cache & dalvik cache to update to the latest release)

@ EVERYONE
sorry about how long this has taken me to get going. with my daughter being diagnosed with cancer and everything that comes along with that I sort of lost my mind for a while. but i have a little bit more patience for development now and I'm going to try my best to make this rom as great as my Galaxy Tab 10.1 rom.
first of all - thank you!!
secondly, what android version is this based upon? 3.1? 3.2? not that it matters too much.
and most importantly - do we really must have doomlord's kernel? quite a few devices here are suffering from stability issues with that kernel, mine included.
Thank you for your contribution. Hope your daughter has a quick recovery.
Sent from my HTC PG09410 using XDA
well,
downloaded and installed.
looks awesome! and in the first few minutes it feels nice and smooth.
first thing that cought my eye - the pen icon still has the 3.x look..grey. the other premenant icons are now blue, i know it sounds silly but that bothers me a bit.
i hope that the kernel will remain stable with this version.

sorry about how long this has taken me to get going. with my daughter being diagnosed with cancer and everything that comes along with that I sort of lost my mind for a while. but i have a little bit more patience for development now and I'm going to try my best to make this rom as great as my Galaxy Tab 10.1 rom.

Can this be flashed and maintain the factory kernel by removing any kernel related files like the wifi module if that DoomLord kernel does not work well on our device?
Hello,
I just wanted to know if this ROM can be flashed onto Rogers Jetstream from Canada? Hopefully it can because stock sucks!!
Thanks!

Nothing against DL as he's helped this device tremendously, however you will find for many of us his kernel is not stable.

Not sure what you guys are finding unstable with it. But that's your choice to use whatever kernel you wish. But I'm not supporting other kernels or problems that stem from them at this time. So any issues that arise when using stock kernel shouldn't be brought up in this thread. The install instructions say it all.
I've been running his kernel with no issues at all for a while.
I must agree with Task. I've been using DooM's kernel since I got my tablet and I've never had any issues it runs so much better then stock kernel.

Glad it's working out for you guys. For many of us it creates stability issues and daily reboots. So I'm sure some of us would like to be able to use a custom ROM
and the factory kernel over no decent ROM at all.

Yeah, I read that in another post... Still cant wait I'm also assuming that you will enable under clocking? For a min of 198 or 300 ish... With the S4, having the clock set to 198 for the min and a max of 512 during sleep mode made a HUGE increase for batter life when needed... I was able to go a week with out charging with airplane mode and was still using the camera to take pics {stats still showed the screen was on for 38%} while I was camping.

Yeah, why not, once I have the device I'll do that, I've been waiting for my local carrier here in our country to ship it but its been a week now and they still dont have any stocks for the S5. So all I can do is just wait. :/

new topic, since version 2.0 was one of the most stable, if someone has problems with the 3.5 can go to 2.0 without problems and sets a topic for each. And yes, the mod comes with uninstaller.
Hi, can you explain how to install it? Maybe some people can't understand ''Before installing Make sure you made changes to build.prop or have other scripts/mods installed in init.d , you should remove it to avoid conflicts!'' means, like me. Great work and thank you.

Thanks for the help!
rollercoaster battery
Hello,
First of all thanks to the developer. Having said that I must admit that this mod does not work for me. I have stock rom with solid kernel, I used to get 4h screen time. With this mod on I only get 3h screen time and the battery does something really funny. It may be at 50% when I start using the phone, and when I finish using it the battery would be at 30% I switch off the screen and 15 min later (or whatever) the battery is back to 50%. It is really a rollercoaster.
I will install Pegasus 2.0 to see if it is any better and report back.
Worked fine for me. Thanks! :good:
