How's it going I recently rooted my lg v10 first time I've rooted a phone since the galaxy s3 I've always liked cyanogen mod I was originally on mm I rooted it and the root worked good except if I put a mm ROM on it I can make and receive calls but no data or MMS msgs ,I've had all the same result's with resurrection ROM and cyanogen mod 13, I went and tried cyanogen mod 12.1 and instantly after installing I had data and phone calls worked ..except I kept getting a random black screen glitch where I would have to remove the battery to restart the phone..I don't really care about getting the 12.1 to work but I would like to be on a mm ROM with working data has anyone had this issue and even better has anyone found a fix thank you who ever has any input
Wow, everything packed into one sentence. I had to read it three times before I understood your problem (I think).
Is it so hard to write more than one sentence to make it easier for people willing to help?
Regarding your problem: have you checked the APN settings? A missing APN is the main reason for not having a data connection.
I do have the correct APN settings. I also went into the strore and they put the APN settings in and had the same results
the cm roms for this phone currently have data issues even with the correct apn settings.

Hi All,
I've just installed my first custom ROM on my S2. Chose CM9 with latest Nightly build. Everything seems to be working great so far except that I can't get my APN Settings to save. Every time I add a new APN and click the save button it reverts to the APN selection screen which is always blank. Is anyone else haveing this problem and is there a work around / was it working in previous builds>
Cheers
Never mind, rebooted the phone and it seems to have fixed the problem. Strange though because i have done a few reboots since the initial install?
i installed cm 10.1 and since doing so ive had service related issues doesnt matter what rom i run since this morning. so i had a stock note 2 from verizon i used odin and the backatcha and casual packcage to root and unlock the boot loader. from there i installed touch clockword recovery mod. i then proceeded to install cm 10.1 noting i had already ran clean rom and jelly beans rom before this. no call or texting issues, still had horrible bluetooth volume and had to keep switching from bluetooth to phone to keep bluetooth working during call. i was hoping all those issues had been resolved with cm 10.1 not the case bluetooth volume is loud but to much distortion. the big problem im having right now is after flasing cm 10.1 and then going back to stock rooted rom or jelly beans rom or clean rom my phone and text service isnt working unless im in a really high signal area. had the sim card swapped out reflashed back to stock rom bootloader and still horrible service near my house and in my house. the service problems i never had before flashing cm 10.1. my imei is still intact and correct my phone number is still correct. ive tried changing network settings the whole deal, what gives ? anyone have any info that can help me ?
This has never happened before. Only recently it started happening and is killing my battery. Voice roaming is stuck on it seems like and I have bars on my status bar even though I don't have a SIM in it and don't plan on putting one in. Does anyone know how to disable voice roaming as I can't seem to find ANY way? Cheers!
Update: More Info and screenshot.
Added a screenshot or those who may be able to help :/
Hey Wem I got stuck in voice roaming when I flashed the new codefire x rom. I had no idea why and verizon did not help. I flashed back and forth between Nos sense 5 and slim and finally 1 time I flashed the NOS rom I got out of roaming. I cant tell u exactly why or what I did to fix it. Sorry I cant be more specific but I don't know.

I actually think I might have fixed it! If you enable LTE/CDMA/GSM/EvDo and force RUIM and SIM it will disable it, but you have to force the RUIM and SIM. Sadly this is the most you cna disable. As far as I know without airplane mode you can't disable the antenna. PNR is really annoying
Flashed CWM. Couldn't connect to anything. Restored back to Viper. Stuck with Voice roaming.
I tried everything and I cannot get rid of the voice roaming triangle. Data wont work.
I factory resetted, performed an RUU
I am totally at a lose.
Any help please
UPDATE: Fixed
Re-flashed Cyanogenmod, completed setup and performed above steps.
Wiped, factory reset and flashed viper. All is well!
My friend asked me to look at this phone that was softbricked and kept going to CWM recovery everytime it was booted. I updated the CWM to the latest touch version via ODIN then formatted the phone clean. :good: Then I flashed 4.3.1 stable AOKP ROM and the GApps. It was fine, everything else was working. I connected the wi-fi, used bluetooth, signed into google account everything was normal and stable.:highfive: But then I tried calling and it said "no mobile network". Tried sending a text, could not. I went in and searched for network signals then registered to the correct(I AM SURE!) one.:silly: Still no luck. Then I let it choose automatically. Nothing. Then I thought maybe installing another ROM will somehow fix it and flashed CyanogenMod 10.2 stable. Still no luck. I searched around for a flashable radio but could not decide if that would fix it because as far as I am aware if the radio wasn't working no wireless connectivity should've been either.
The phone is Samsung Galaxy S III GTI9300 white 16GB (unlocked) and has been here in Nepal with Nepal Telecom Sim since it was bought. I have no Idea how the soft brick happened but I think this guy tried to manually update the phone with a stock firmware during which some **** must've happened.
Can you guys please let me know if this could be fixed?
Any help would be highly appreciated.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
There are hundreds of identical threads, search and read about efs and imei issues.

I installed Cyanogenmod 11 on my phone and I've been having nothing but problems with APn settings and not being able to send MMS.
I keep getting No APN specified on device and I can't send MMS messages.
I've reinstalled the rom many times reseting factory settings and wiping dalvik cache.
I've tried using APN backup and restore app to backup from stock rom and restore the apn settings to CM 11..
Nothing is working
I'm about to give up and find another rom..
And now for some reason I cant even access the APn settings in CM11.. The menu option isnt there..
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Its a CDMA phone and my carrier is Cricket Wireless its the 3g CDMA plan Galaxy S3 before they merged with aio and now use GSM phones and new plans..
CM 11 - 11-2014078-SNAPSHOT-M8-d2lte
If no one has any suggestions can anyone recommend a good bug free fast and clean rom?
Thanks.
UPDATE:
I've since tried installing Carbon Rom and same issue there.. I can't send MMS messages. Keeps saying no APN specified on device..
I tried looking up Crickets apn settings and entering them manually but every time I change the MNC? setting the APN just vanishes.
I tried just leaving that field alone and just setting the rest but I still couldnt send MMS messages..
I'm going crazy here..
I rooted my phone and now Im stuck on 4.1.2 unless I use a custom rom as rooted my phone wont let me update the stock rom..
I really liked both Cyanogen and Carbon my phone ran AMAZING compared to stock but without MMS messages and constant APN error popups I can't take it...
Any ideas?
