Hi guys,
I unlocked bootloader of my moto e 2nd gen 3g model,
again i relocked bootloader, not it gives following message
"invalid system image", so i hav to unlock bootloader again, to avoid this
Can any one please help me over this
When the bootloader is locked, it will not boot unless the ROM is properly signed and unmodified. Follow the return to stock procedure and reflash the signed Motorola ROM for it to boot with a locked bootloader. I don't know if the stock images are yet available for your model (3G). If they aren't, you will have to live with an unlocked bootloader for now.
I'm trying to go back to stock from CM12.
I tried flashtool to flash a stock image, and after I selected relock bootloader.
it says it's gone OK, but stock doesn't boot after.
If I go back to flashtool, and I select BLU, it gives me the option to relock the bootloader! I thought it was locked already.
what can i do?
thanks

This only works if you unlocked the bootloader using the official method of unlocking the bootloader.
If you did not do that and perhaps unlocked bootloader using flashtool the only choice you have is to restore the TA partition.
That said if you made a backup of the TA partition before unlocking the bootloader.
edit: What is the status of the phone when you say "stock doesn't boot after."?
Does the kernel not boot? = vibrates three times when power button being pressed.
Does the phone boot but get stuck in a bootloop?

Somehow, after a second flash of the stock ROM, and selecting to wipe data, the phone booted in stock, and works fine.
I still had an unlocked bootloader, and flashtool relock or fastboot oem lock wouldn't work.
I managed to find out what the problem with Backup TA tool was, I replaced the adb previously, but I didn't need to, once I went back to the standard adb, the TA restore worked, and with it, the bootloader locked!
this is now solved. thanks for the help.
one question now.
Is this now the same as stock stock? will i be receiving OTAs or should I do a repair with PCcompanion just to be sure?
rather not if not necessary as I already rooted
Hey guys i tried to install latest Android version on my Surnia (XT1527) but i bricked it, only i can get into bootloader (the bootloader is locked) my pc can't recognize the COM Qualcomm port (i'm trying hard to use QFIL), so i was thinking on use another moto E XT1527 to retrieve a full image of the system to flash it on my device, but i don't know how to do that or what i need for that, trying to flash some stock firmwares keep giving an error (preflash validation failed).
Can you help me with that??
QFIL never worked for me.
Check https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759495.
Forget the adb part, just check if fastboot recognizes your device and try the steps.
I think you can also install custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader. Ones that is done you can try to install your custom rom.

Did you solve the 'preflash validation error'?? mine keeps giving that error and i tried all the versions of the ROM, all i need is to install a custom recovery without unlocked bootloader, can you help me explaining what have you done? thanks
With locked bootloader you cannot flash custom recovery(even boot).
You can try to flash the newest stock rom without commands:
fastboot flash bootloader...
fastboot flash partition...
My phone's bootloader is locked and i tried flashify to flash twrp on my phone. I know i made a mistake but is there any way out of it
Sotck in bootloop, i want to flash back to stock, but i see that the bootloader is locked, can i flash with miflash with that bootloader locked? Or first i need to unlock the bootaloder. As i mentioned i can't enter the OS to request a unlock because i am stuck in the bootloop and after a while it restarts himeslf over and over.
