LG Zero/Class problem! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hullo I am using LG Zero/Class
I rooted on kingroot and changed it to superSU.
But I want to install xposed on this phone, but I dont know what my phone's bit is.
I thought 64 bit first, because CPU is snapdragon410.
But when I check at CPU-Z, it keeps saying `armv71' which means 32bit.
So I went very confused.
Plus, I dont have a recovery.(cwm or twrp doesn't support it)So I will flash xposed file on flashfire.(Free version, v5.0, in google play store)
But I found some experience that flashed on flashfire and it went brick.
So I went very confused again.
Please help me...

Is there a way to root a T-Mobile LG K7?

I'd forgotten what it's like to have an unrooted phone. I just got a T-Mobile LG K7 & am looking for a way to root it. The only info I found was a long thread on Android Forums by people who tried to root the K7 with KingRoot. The LG K7 is not on the list of phones that KingRoot supports, and the results looked iffy. (ex, It works fine if I stand on my right foot, pat my head and whistle the national anthem...)
Anyway I just thought I'd ask here. I'm no Android dev... just like having the phone rooted. I rooted my last 2 phones, but it's been so long that I hardly remember the steps involved.
[Ignore... didn't realize I could edit original post... sry! ]
Follow up for the sake of posterity...
Took the leap with KingRoot. It worked fine for the T-Mobile version of LG K7. At first KR put up a msg saying there was a problem-- do I want to try root anyway? I said Yes & it worked with no other issues. Super-easy.
Well, I'm off to do some de-bloating.
Have you found a custom rom? I've been looking for va cyanogen 13 mod for a few days. I'm a total noob with this but I'm very tech savvy. anyways.... as I said I started the whole root my phone project to free up memory. I've accomplished that. I've rooted my phone with king root and I've sent a lot of apps to my SD card. But now the hacker nerd in me wants to install android marshmallow. So we're kind of at time point U just seem way more experienced St this. I have built quite a few android based kodi boxes so I guess I'm not a total noon but this is my first exposure to rooting so having some lone to at least bounce around ideas with would be excellent. Thanks in advance for your time.

Ermmm... that would be no. I've rooted and flashed roms on my last 2 phones, but I got forum help. I don't know the nuts & bolts. Your best bet would be to create a thread & collaborate.
It's important to get a rom & recovery specific both to your phone provider & phone model. Ex, I have a T-Mobile LG K7. If I try to flash a rom for metro pcs LG K7, anything could happen... it may refuse to flash. It might flash & brick. It might actually work, but why take the chance?
If you find a rom somewhere online, be careful about the source. Unless you know what you are getting, you could be in for trouble. Don't try it without getting feedback on a trustworthy forum.
Good luck... I'd love to see a good Marshmallow rom
Yes
I rooted my k7 TMobile w kingroot and then used the wolfdroid method of removing the kingo superuser w terminal emulator and replacing it with superSu. I've actually had alot less problems w rooting than a y other phone. Problem is the factory recovery isn't a normal recovery and we'll probably never have a custom recovery or rom for the TMobile version atleast I heard that u can do it w metro pcs version. Even chainfires flashfire says they haven't been testing w lg so if anyone hears anything new I'd love to hear it
@paulyd9420
I'd like something minimal like superSU & was wondering about wolfdroid. Did you use the KingRoot page on wolfdroid.com? I'd like check out what worked for you.
Did you have any trouble with updating su binary?
I just picked up a K7 at my local T-Mobile store and have been trying to get it rooted with no luck. My first thought was my usual: Towelroot. when that didn't work I looked it up and saw that some people were having luck with kingroot. I've tried time and time again to root it and have yet to have any luck. Help?
KingRoot rooted my T-Mobile K7. I did have an issue when it ran. A message came up that said something like: KingRoot can't root this phone in the usual way, but there's alternative approach. Do you want to try it? Yes/No. (Lol.. not the exact words). I was worried but went ahead with it. It worked just fine.
I can't help beyond telling you that it does work with the T-Mobile model. Definitely try it again. If it doesn't work, you might try uninstalling & deleting your KR download-- then do a new DL, just in case. You probably already know, but be sure to install a root checker so you can verify the results.
Maybe somebody more knowledgeable can tell you more.
the su binary wasn't hard just use the terminal emulator and it does the rest. I'm really surprised that Noone has a recovery for this it can handle alot. What I'd like to know is why TMobile k7 doesn't have an actually stock recovery all it does is pull up a factory reset a dead Droid (where MetroPCS version had the recovery options) and a safe mode. And everytime I've mentioned this phone I never getta response. And I do realize it's an entry level phone but I watched ppl chase down all the grand prime versions even the 530az. Why not this phone? U][/U]

Quick update: After using KingRoot, I wanted SuperSU instead of having KR processes running in the background all the time. Tried Super-Sume (Google store). It wasn't free, but it did the trick & I'm a happy camper.
Can't say that I like some of the Android changes in the upgrade from KitKat to Lollipop, tho... especially having to deal with permissions every time I want to cut/paste/delete in storage. The emulated storage thing seems iffy, but maybe it has its benefits (?)
If anyone needs help rooting let me know i have full root and twrp installed. https://mega.nz/#!zBoxGIQR!buXvorPkA14Vr2Idn7uhNPHanOL6wbvcEav3MhRdjv8

Hey wassup Z.
I read through the whole thread and see that you managed to root the tmobile lgk7. Props to you.
I too was able to root using Kingroot. My dilemma is upgrading from 5.1 to 6.0. I managed to fetch a rom claiming to be 6.0 for the k7 but cannot flash it for the likes of me.
if you have been able to since your rooting , how bout hitting me up?.
Ron
P.S. I cant get into recovery mode

Sent from my LG-K330 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Help needed
I am on a TMOBILE variant LG K7 with Marshmallow. Can you help me root without losing my personal data? Do I have to flash a stock ROM first? I have flashed and rooted using Odin many times in the past, but want to make sure I don't screw this up since it is a friend's phone. Thanks so much.
Kevin
If ur on T-Mobile I did it w kingroot then use w0lfdr0id method on terminal emulator to replace kinguser. I've also been told that u can use superSume if u need that or any help pm me
KingRoot does work, it takes several tries and reboots but i got it to work and stick. I know it's frustrating but it will work with the T-Mobile LG K7 (K330) if you are using the newest version of KingRoot without the 5.1.1 "Security Update". If you have installed the update I cannot confirm it will work. The Software version K33010f is what I have. The update moves you to Software version K33010h.
I do not like KingUser, and I tried the Super-Sume app from the Play Store for $3.99. It said I didnt have KingRoot installed so it would not work. I don't know why, it seemed to work for others. I am stuck with KingUser for now.
I've downloaded kingroot directly onto my device and rooted my T-Mobile k7 that way.i did decide to unroot becuase I wanted to learn a little more about the benefits of the process etc. I don't have a computer to use at the moment but I'm thinking of rooting again. I've been told if you root you also need a custom recovery like TWRP. Is this true?

Huawei ShotX / Honor 7i (ATH-UL01)Android/TWRP/BOOTLOOP/XPOSED Problem(STUCK IN TWRP)

Hello and i wish you all a good Day and i really appreciate the time you are giving to help me.
But before i Start, here the Data about my Phone:
Name
Huawei Shot X / Honor 7i runs actually on Android 5.1.1 & EMUI 3.1
CPU
Qualcomm® MSM8939™, Octa-core 1.5 GHz
Operation System
HUAWEI Emotion UI 3.1(on Android™ L)
Root: Yes
Bootloader: Unlocked
TWRP: Yes
So, this gona be a little bit complicated as you can see in the Titel that i got 4 Problems at the same time so i complety messed up. I'm sitting here 2 Days and Night trying to work on my Phone and im so desperate that i created a Account here.
And the site also says, no low quality Questions here and i guess that's not a low quality question because theres less then 5 Theards/Questions about my Phone. Another Point wich makes it so difficul to can fix all by myself. But to get all things clear i will tell what i did and how it started, because im still confused after Hours of Searching and downloading.
It first started whit Pokemon Go I wanted to Install Xposed on my Huawei Shot X, so i can Play the Game while im in Brazil spending my Holidays. But the First Problem was, that the Modules was not compatible whit my Xposed. I had Problems such like XposedBridge.jar. Or when I read about that the Version 2.7 would fix it i had a Problem that Xposed was not compatible whit my processor Architektur. So i searched till i found those links:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765
And especially before my Phone nuked i followed this Link (Click on "Link").
I already noticed that to Install Xposed on my Device will be Tricky on a Huawei, it's not like on a Samsung where Hunderts of Tutorials and solutions ect. Fast i noticed i need TWRP. Sadly i found nothing really matching whit my Phone i downloaded over here, over there img 3.0.0 all didnt work well or not correctly till after Hours i feelt trolled finding Twrp in the App Store. And while my Search i found a Guide giving me a Link how to Install TWRP on my Huawei Shot X. They linked me to a Download for TWRP Huawei G8 wich i did. The Download didn't worked but the App on my Phone did pretty well an installed Version 3.0.0 for Huawei G8 (like the Guide sad). I trusted the Guide because theres no Guide, especially for my Phone. So it looked like the Huawei G8 might be the only and closes Choice. I fail to install a File Manager from a Indonesian Devoloper and i know there are newer Version of TWRP but i didn't wanted to run risks. I had Install the Huawei Driver on my Pc and runed ADB but i can't remember in wich oder anymore because of the huge stress. TWRP started succesfully, at least that but when i noticed something is missing, i wanted to move some files for to install Xposed correctly. Andoird didn't started anymore . It wasn't a actually "Bootloop". TWRP Starts till now all the Time and it's functional but i didn't get "into my Android". I saw some Codes ect that i can entre in CMD , something about ADB that would make it possibel to get into Android again. After all, nothing was deleted, the Data was still there (I made a Back Up on my PC before, so no Problem). But there was no was to get into my System. So i tryed to take this as a Chance to install Android again, but better as Android 6.0 and i found this Update (Click on Update). This Update didn't work i get a Red Clored Text and the last Zip i tried to Install Android 5.1.1 for Huawei ShotX EMUI 3.1 fom the Huawei Site, TWRP sad the Files are corupt. And i aslo tried a Guide from "HighOnAndroid", explainding how to install Android 6.0 from TWRP, wich didn't work too. Im finding no probly ROM wich match. I finding nothing really compatible or working. Not a simpel way to install Android on my Phone im just stuck in TWRP. I hope for someone how give me straight/save links for my Huawei Shot X about how to Install Android 5.1.1 & EMUI 3.1 and if it's possibel to install maybe Android 6.0. And of course, the Reason why this Chaos just started how to install Xposed. Perfectly would be to Connect my Phone to my PC and a Programm wich simply installs Android. Thank's for helping and you time.
PS: A really other Important Point, theres no Data on my Phone anymore Expect TWRP and some failed to install Zips.
PSPS: 2.6 Xposed wasnt working to..
No anyone?
At least tell me how to install Android from TWSP
dear friend.you must flash stock recovery through fastboot then install stock rom
I got it fixed by just flashing the stock recovery.

How on Earth can I install Xposed on a Samsung phone without getting a bootloop?

Someone help me out really quick, cause I'm too dumb to find a fix. So I wanted to install Xposed once again on my piece of **** Samsung Galaxy S5, running 6.0.1. Have it rooted, got TWRP. Spend 25 years reading up on all the wonderful ways you can install Xposed with varying degrees of failure. Decide to go with method 9, get my 2 framework zips (main thing and uninstaller, "xposed-v87-sdk23-arm" & "xposed-uninstaller-20160829-arm") and the apk. Got the 3.1.1 apk from this official thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
And the 2 zips from here:
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm/
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/uninstaller/
Slap them on my phone, install the apk first, says my Samsung phone is cursed ("there seems to be a known issue with your ROM", "Samsung TouchWiz ROM"), and that installing Xposed could lead to SEVERE problems. Clicking on the link given gets me to the thread above again:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
I proceed to read through 5 pages of tech speak without seeing anything that could lead me to a link for my Samsung version. So instead I just boot into TWRP recovery, flash the framework zip and reboot. Naturally, nothing worked and my phone finds itself in an endless bootloop of the Samsung logo. Take battery out, reboot into recovery, flash the uninstaller file, reboot, everything is fine, but Xposed is still not installed.
TL;DR Someone put me out of my misery and tell me/show me where I can find an official Xposed firmware zip that will work on a Samsung phone running 6.0.1. Am I the only idiot that can't do it properly?

How to make twrp permanent (was not prompted to allow modification or w.e)

Hey I have a HTC 10 that I bought it rooted and s-off. I have Android 8.0 oreo leedroid_10_v5 2.0_r143, magisk manager/sure, busybox v1.28.3-stericson multi-call binary, kernal 3.18.63-cleanslate-3710-gb26aa1a [email protected] #55 preempt, build number 3.16.401.2 9.0_g cL1012001 release-keys, and twrp. I hope I have u all the info lol. Well I'm new to the rooting thing and what not and I been practicing on an older HTC one m8 but not the same obviously as the 10. But, I been reading up and etc on everything I can do with my rooted phone and haven't really messed with anything till this morning. I put xposed framework on my phone BC I wanted to look at the modules they had that magisk didn't. Well i wound up installing stuff and uninstalling stuff and then had some as popping up so I went into my file explorer (after uninstalling all installed items) to make sure there wasn't anything left over from any of them and someone I accidently deleted my twrp.img file. And so I don't have access to a computer very often BC my dad don't let me know his password to his computer. But I used the twrp manager to install twrp again and everything came back and went to normal but it said that it was suppose to ask me to allow modification or something like that to make it permanent and it didn't so that. So does that mean I never deleted it? How can I make it permanent or know of it is still permanent. Any help would be appriciated. Thank you.
