Bluetooth Launcher by Guardian Bob missing dropdown labeled 'Google Search' - Xperia Z3v General

I am looking for the com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.VoiceSearchActivity option but cannot find it. Is there a place I can search to find this key?

[Q] Talkback toggle creation... Please help!

OK... I have got Tasker, I`m trying to make a shortcut to talkback, or accessibility that can be accessed from double pressing the home button.
I have tried xshortcut to try and use the capture feature on it, but I get a permissions error.
I could enter it in the intent field manually I suppose, but what would I have to type as an intent to get to talkback to either toggle on or off, or to get just the the talkback screen?
I have looked and looked. The closest I am getting is com.android.settings.Subsettings.
Yes I am a noob and yes I am out of my depth, but I am just trying to make a talkback toggle for my partially sighted wife.
Any flaming/suggestions welcome
EDIT: In an ideal world, the Home2 shortcut app would work, as you can select a shortcut in this app, so I would make an accessibility shortcut with Anycut, and use it with that, but SGS2 isn`t compatibile with Home2 shortcut, and advanced home button app cannot select shortcuts
BUMP.

any update on this?? Am also trying to figure out the same thing for galaxy s and an android tab..
Closest I have got is, because Home2 doesn`t work on TouchJizz, you install some kind of AOSP rom then it works faultlessly.
The closest shortcut you can make is getting to the accessibility page, this is does either through Nova launcher actions (which I thinik is similar to anycut) or use Anycut itself!
Talkback needs an update...
Same here. I emailed the developer of spiel and he says a direct shortcut can't be made as Google limits this!

[HOW TO] Get Google Voice On ICS Keyboard

Hi guys,
I know quite a few people have been asking the same question as I was - "Why has Google Voice disappeared from ICS keyboard?"
Well, Now I have a solution!
You can either do the following:
A) Search play store for "Gingerbread Keyboard"
OR
B) Installed the attached apk.
AFTER you have done that, open a app with a text input.... get the keyboard up... then press and hold the spacebar to bring up "Input Method selection" box, then select "Gingerbread Keyboard".
you will now see a voice icon
This is not my application and I am in no responsible for it breaking your device in anyway.
Question to anyone with any knowledge of compiling keyboards - what files are related to the notification that appears whilst on a text input box? is it ok to remove these if decompile & recompile?

How to remove Google Search Box from Home Screen

It may sound a little novice, but I tried to find the option, but couldn't find any.
Is there any ways to remove the "Google Search Box" on the home screen of OPX ?
Yeah. Disable the App called "google App" and you have a beautiful black screen.

Use another launcher?
Couldn't you just hold onto the bar and remove it? If not, another launcher like Nova Launcher would be able to do it.

No, unfortunately that doesn't work with the built-in bar, only ones you add yourself as widgets.
I've found an app file called base.apk in /data/app/ com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-1 - could this be changed, renamed etc as a solution for this? I'm not game to try because I don't want to break anything.
I used Debloater to uninstall the Google Search App. Than its gone. If your device is not rooted you could just try to deactivate it. I am not sure if you can do it in the Apps section in the settings but Debloater does nearly the same without root. It just deactivates the selected Apps.
Be aware that if you deactivate the app "close all running apps" button will also disapear!
Hope that helps you out.
If you want to remove the google search bar and keep the Google Now Launcher and its possibilities I only know of the following solution :
- Root your phone
- Install Xposed framework
- Install Xposed GEL Settings which has an option to hide the search bar
If you don't want to keep the Google Now functionnalities then just go with another Launcher.

If you disable Google App, you can not use close all open apps X button. :crying:
New option in OOS 2.2.0, now you can remove search bar !

Hi, go under settings -> buttons -> Home button, set longpress to no action
maybe this helps
Hey bud!,
I tried that, its still starting google voice thingy when i hold my button on my cord
Disable the "App Google", you will get rid of Google Crap Now, the omnipresent search bar, the long press-listen and all.
Notably, you will also loose voice recognition that goes as input method (when the keyboard is present) that's the only thing I find useful.
I tried shutting off the google app in "Currently Executed" apps, but it keeps coming back
Removing from recent app's makes nothing...
Go into Settings -> Apps -> "all" tab -> search for App Google and click "disable"
you can flash othere roms the othere rom can remove the google search

Question How to create a widget or shortcut to lock the screen by tapping on it?

Hi,
I wanted to create a kwgt widget which locks the screen while tapping on it. But I cannot find which action should I add for that. I cannot find any activities listed in kwgt which does this. Any alternate solutions to add such a widget or shortcut will help too.

You can try to use 'Accessibility menu' ( enter Accessibility and enable this feature) like this: https://guidebooks.google.com/pixel/accessibility-features/how-to-turn-on-the-accessibility-menu
Well it just depends what launcher you're using. If you are using Nova you're in luck. Not sure about any others but I'm sure there are more that you can accomplish this with. But if you do have Nova then just create a widget and for the touch action select "launch shortcut". Then for the shortcut select "Nova action". And lastly select "screen lock" . Done
You could investigate "Gravity Screen" which has several ways of turning off the screen, including a widget.
I use this one:
Screen off - Widget & tile - Apps on Google Play
Save your power button!
play.google.com
Works perfect every time!
