I believe there is 30 day expiry date, you could see that when you apply
The unlock capabilities doesn't have a limit, this is linked to you Mi account

Do you have to request unlock permissions for each phone, or are you just able to unlock one phone every 30 days from that account?
Unlocked after a month ,no limit, but just one phone/month to unlock.

hi guys,
i bought xperia U last week in UK from an Orange shop. The company requires that in order to unlock the phone, you need to use it for 3 months at least. But i want to unlock it now, as soon as possible. I'm writing here knowing that xperia S has the same software etc with U.
Can you tell me a simple way of unlocking the phone? Given that i have never done such thing in the past and i have no idea of anything like this.
Thanks in advance
Just follow this thread to unlock your bootloader..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
What can i do if in Service Status, it says that unlocking is not allowed?
Is there any way to still unlock xperia U? Because i do not like it to wait for a newly purchased phone 3 whole months until i can unlock it, according to Orange's policies... ((
I don't think there's a way, then.
You'll have to wait

First of all, your question belongs in the Q&A thread. Make sure about it the next time. Regarding your query, after 3 months, Orange will send you the unlocking code but I am not sure if you call still unlock your bootloader then. You may only be able to unlock the SIM. This is one of the major flaws of the carrier branded phones and you can either sell it and get a new carrier free one or live with this knowing you won't be able to unlock it at least for the near future.
Well they are on the list of omnius so you can expect bootloader unlock for about 2-3 months

As the title says, I have t-mo branded phone, will the SIM lock disappear after flashing firmware from unlocked phone? I don't think it will, but maybe? Also, how would you unlock such a phone then? Anybody knows?

Sim lock has nothing to do with the firmware
if you flash the unlocked firmware on the t mobile device, the actually t mobile unlock app will not be on the phone. however the phone will still be sim locked to t mobile. If you plan on unlocking it soon, stay on the t mobile firmware so you have the access to the unlock app in the t mobile folder. after you unlock it through t mobile, restart the phone and the app will go away. I'm not sure if you can unlock the phone under the unlocked firmware without that mobile unlock app.

It seems my Note 8 is not eligible for unlock. I purchased it on Ebay. Is there any other way to bypass T-Mo-s unlock app?

Try contacting cellunlocker, see if he can do it via a unlock code as per what the other person mentioned here.

You'll just have to find a way to get it to prompt if that is even possible. I tried a different sim and it give you a messaging saying you have to use the unlock app.
Have you made any progress?
I'm in the same boat.
Note 8 Purchased on Ebay, locked to T-Mobile, without access to their network , looking for another way to unlock my device

Just an idea, perhaps flashing a different version would then allow one to get the prompt?

Part of me feels like that would be too easy of a solution. Not to mention I finally got mine unlocked via the app but through all the trials and tribulations with TMobile they did the traditional unlock code request. The email came back looking like others I have seen in the past except where it said "Unlock Code" it said to use the Unlock App on the device..
We are are still left with needing a code from TMobile.
So im in a similar situation. I've got a Tmobile Note 8 which i'm using on ATT. I got a tmobile sim from a friend and had tmobile temporarily unlock it for 30 days. I hope by flashing this firmware (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-sm-n950u-u1-t3685884) for ATT, i can get it permanently unlocked.
OR
If the Device Unlock app is frozen or unisntalled (via root), i wonder if it can still relock the phone.?
Did anyone figure out a solution to this problem (bought T mobile Note 8 on eBay and cannot unlock it!). Worst case, can I open a new T Mobile account for $70 per month and then cancel it after 40 days and THEN unlock the phone?

Hi all,
As the huawei announced that the bootloader code service will be stopped. Then the users who have code already they also won't be able to unlock bootloader?

what this support is meant here?
and what after 60 days?
suppose i have bootloader code already then either after 60 days i wont be able to unlock bootloader?
becuase as per my understanding the code is directed to the device through ADB. means it doesnt require any info from hauwei.

Actually Huawei will provide the uocking code for comming 60 days for old devices and that will also be stopped after 60 days. It means that after sixty days we will be unable to unlock any of Huawei device through official Huawei website anymore.
That means after sixty days we will unlock it from some other souces like DC Unlockers and Funky Huawei...
I was waiting to unlock my phone and recently I got my unlocking password for my device.

Furthermore If you already have your unlocking code you can unlock it any time. It has nothing to do with huawei support.
The code is required only for first time unlocking. So if you have your code enjoy bro..
All this does is guarantee i will never buy another Huawei. Save your unlock code somewhere safe before you can't get it.

Ok, so I'm confused. I just got my Mate 10 Pro yesterday from a provider here in PH, and just a few minutes ago, was able to get the unlock password from Huawei's site. I am confused with the the unlock code application service will be stopped for all products launched after 2018-5-24 and the For products relieased prior to this date, the service will be stopped 60 days after this announcement.
I am almost 100% sure that the Mate 10 Pro I got from our provider here is not a new product (not newer than 2018-5-24) but since today is 2018-6-25 (Philippine Date/Time) it is roughly 30-31 days since the announcement. Does the 60 days after this announcement mean even if I already have the unlock code I will not be able to unlock my phone anymore after next month (60 days = roughly 2 months since the announcement)?

Mate 10/Pro released in November so it's before 2018-05-24.
As it is now you will be able to unlock it after the 60 days have passed, you will not be able to get a new code from Huawei though.
As long as they don't update bootloader in an update you will still be able to use it in the future.
I got the redmi note 9 pro and downloaded the unlock tool from mi. I was told wait 168 hours, so i screwed up and tried to do another Gmail i had, so that set me back another 168 I guess? One week later I try to unlock tells me cant unlock wait 168 hours, yes I am binding my account to with a sim and this last time I even left the sim in the whole week.
This phone was bought for development purposes and its useless to me with a locked bootloader. I contacted support considering it had been a week and they told me I was able to unlock it, i try and it doesn't work. 5hey tell me follow directions and if it still does it then its the phone send it back. Everything I try to unlock it sends me back 168 hours, does anyone have any ideas or is there a way around this tool wait bs I'm thinking just send phone back and forget redmi if they have these kinds of issues.
Any help is appreciated

You must use the phone more often within the 168 hours period
Actually, according to redmi customer service
I have to be connected to a network for 15 days continues to bind the account and unlock is what they told me.
I live in the mountains and when I come home I lose signal unless I stand in the exact right place in my house. So my solution was to send the pho e back and get a refund. I am not impressed enough by this phone to deal with the games they want to play to unlock a bootloader . I have better phones to work with. Thank you for your reply though.
New xiaomi rules are so bad. Even I'm not able to unlock the bootloader.
