You need the latest radio.
Un7zip the files to your sd card. Should be a Class 6.
Boot windows and run Haret.exe. Up pops a penguin!
I stole all of this, so thanks belong elsewhere.
Also they need devs to bring this to a rom. If you can help you already know what to do.
Perhaps those of us that 'want', but cannot help can fund a bounty?
What works, what doesn't? Which build? Any screenshots?
just download the package and run haret, and see.
Everything works but camera for me. right now I am working on using this for voip. Very funny to have an unlimited cell for ~10$ a month, or less...
It's not a rom, you just copy it to your sd card and run it inside WinMo. It is so easy to see for yourself I didnt jazz up the post. reset and you boot into WinMo
Working pretty decent on my WM6.5 by Ryan Mogul ROM on Page Plus network (verizon). Calls/SMS/Browsing/youtube/keyboard (both hard and soft) all worked. A few times applications would hang momentarily, and a couple times I had to instruct android to "wait" or "force close" (wait always worked)
I will use it all weekend and see how if I am able to use it full time.
A couple of questions for anyone who can answer:
1) How do I check available RAM?
2) Is it possible switch back to WM 6.5 without turning the phone off?
3) How do you quit an application in Android? Is there any type of task manager?
Because a reader asked, android version is 1.5
Works very well, I have been running it all weekend. I switched out the zImage for one that has the screen rotation corrected. Disable the touch input and android keyboard input, hardware keyboard only works great with less FC's. Switched wallpaper to the grey image. GPS and Bluetooth work, but sadly still no camera or wifi. At least for me. Market also works very well.
I think we could be off to a great start!
Who has any camera or wifi experience with our hardware?
Hey now, give a link to the zimage fix! Better yet zip up your stuff and share it!
freenode has an #htc-Linux They might know about the hardware.
Here you go! I have also made a few changes to the defalut.txt and associated user.conf files.

hi jrgii
it mean u already repackage, and i just need to install the Android ion to my mogul.
COuld you share the screenshot please ?
thanks
Loaded this on my Sprint Mogul, looks good. Is there a list for defining which hardware keys preform what actions?
What is the button(s) to press to shutdown the phone?
I just tried this on my xv6800.. I can't get any ringtones to work on it. Camera does crash the phone. but it did sync my contacts and calander from work Only need to get ringtones working.. but i'm about ready to buy a droid..
.nbh file?
Is there a zImage (or preferably *.NBH) file for the Titan available anywhere?
Something analogous to the .NBH file described at item 6 of the first post of this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636024
I want to try and use the process described in that post, but need a proper .nbh file (zImage) to do so.
Yes, I have used search, so pointers to a URL would be much appreciated.
I have a question for those of you who have tried it. My phone does not show notifications and Marketplace does not actually download anything on my phone. I can send SMS and look at emails, however, so I know the internet works. Anyone else having this problem? It runs very well despite these two things.

Um, I have an idea, how about you read the first post? Not to be a jerk, but claiming you have searched, when you haven't read the first post, is, well, whats the word I am thinking?

I read the first post. In fact, the entire thread.
The first post references files to load Android off SDCard, but no guidance on how to load Android off internal memory (i.e., REPLACING WinMo, per the link I referenced). Hence, my reference to the link (so that those who would read my question would click the link and understand what I am asking).
Although I appreciate the fact that you took the time to respond, I don't find myself after having read your response any closer to resolving my issue of trying to load Android onto Mogul internal memory (as they are now currently doing with the Vogue). Any guidance you could provide in that regard would be much appreciated.

There is a zImage in every bootable android package, Including the one in the first post. I do not believe there are any ROMs for the Titan at this point, although work is ongoing.
Exactly what every Titan user wants
Thanks to both LargePrime and jrgii for their prepacks for this phone.
I was very eager to try this out after searching quite a bit, and this made it rather straight forward.
I loaded jrgii's as he mentioned it corrected the screen flip issue. Only thing is that it is super slow and has no audio on my phone.
any suggestions on the sound? I have downloaded the overclocker to see if it helps the speed issue. (maybe its the memory card?)
I can't wait for wifi support. I imagine the data charge$ are not going to be nice using the android features without wifi.
ok, back to play around some more!
One last Q for those who want the rom version. why? As far as I understand (maybe naively) loading off of SD still bypasses winmo so that your resources are used solely on android os. Besides, with the current builds for this phone, you would then be left w/o the bt/wifi/cam features unless you reflash back again, whereas the sd method you can simply reboot.
I realize that I am the newbiest on here (have just been reading until now, and finally registered so I could post here to thank these guys) All I ask is, if you know any answers to help me and care to reply, I do greatly appreciate it.
Until then, I will keep searching and reading hopefully useful and not outdated info.
Thanks!
Did you try the package I found?
I downloaded it, but did not try running it, as one of your posts indicated the screen flip issue. I will give it a shot. thanks!
Also, do you overclock your htc as well? And if you do, what program do you use/ do you launch it from android or linux?
I'll let you know how I make out with your pack
Hi All,
This SD build is hiding away in the NAND section! There's a link to it in the 1st post. Try it, it's a solid vanilla Android Gingerbread port for our Leo. It may be a month old but I think it's still a brilliant build.

Hello,
Yes it's a great version stable and smooth.

But no possibility ask question. For example the persons who call have an echo.
Thanks for share

I'm not experiencing the echo you mention. Have you tried posting in the original NAND thread (or is that too obvious and shouldn't be said ) ?

No it may not be obvious, I can be a bad parameter, I'm not very good lolll
Thanks for share
Have a nice day.
Camcorder video recording brevity
I've been using sd rom builds since Aug 2010. The NexusHD sd build of Nov6 2011 has been the best I'd used hitherto, for example it had practically ZERO battery drain when going to bed at night and, setting at flight mode, only 2-3percent drop if on 2g only.
It was also the first build I used that recorded video at 720p. The videos were beautiful. However, it is unable to record (viewable) videos for longer than 10 - 16 min (it varies). Matching the size of the video (roughly at the time the recording begins to go wrong) approximates the size of the free RAM (usually btw 200 - 280mb), at least according to my observations. I got similar results with all the MIUI builds released within the last 2 weeks (Jaguaralani, MccM, etc).
This makes me think that the kernel arranges things such that video data is continually stacked in the RAM and is only placed in the storage medium when recording is signalled as complete (instead of doing so during the very process of streaming in the video data so as to free up the RAM and enable only the size of the destination storage medium - sd card or internal memory - to be the limiting factor).
Since I always want to have windows mobile as a bootable option in case of emergency access to files (- I use my hd2 for all my important stuff and am not always with my laptop) NAND builds are out of the question for me. However, the dorimanx kernel was said to solve this problem (and others) when used to replace the tytung kernel in the NexusHD NAND build in post 8716 on this page==> http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...05060&page=872.
So I have two requests: 1) Could an equivalent kernel for sd builds be pointed out to me? 2) How does one replace one kernel with another in an sd build?
Thanks a lot!!!
Why do I get pretty high battery drain using this v3.2a?
How can I troubleshoot what process is actually using the power?
I loaded this SD version to my HD2 and like it very much - except that I'm getting the dreaded SOD (sleep of death). This is a plain vanilla HD2, using the stock SD card (SanDisk class 2?)
Anyone know a fix? If the problem is the slow SD card, would a NAND install solve it?
Hello,
I have this Samsung Galaxy S2 GT - I9100, which I originally rooted when it had Gingerbread 2.3.4, then using Mobile Odin I flashed it ICS 4.0.3, XXPLQ. Everything went smooth. Until a few hours later when a few apps started disappearing. 12 total. I tried restoring them with titanium backup (from a backup I had done before flashing ICS) but it won't let me do it. I can't reinstall the apps from Google Play either.
Any ideas on what should I do?
Please explain with as much detail as possible. I'm still new to the flashing roms world
Thanks,

hi and welcome to the forum.
to improve the chance of getting good answers, you should change the thread title to something like "disappearing apps after ics update" or something similar. just stating the device's name is redundant, as you are in a section of the forum, which deals exclusively with that model.
also, questions go in the q&a section, but don't worry, i reported it to be moved.
also, you should post, what specific apps you are talking about and of what kind they are, are they free or paid, are they generally available on the play store for your country? have you checked the play store from a pc to look for those apps? ...and so on. being really specific makes it way easier to help.
Hello, you are correct, i'm sorry for the title and lack of more info. I can't edit the thread title so, if you or any other moderator can do so, feel free to do it.
About my problem, I could not give more details because there was no much relevant info to give. There were 12 apps total that suddenly disappeared after flashing. Among those were:
2 games from Game Insight (Airport City and My Country)
Mobile Odin
Akdiko Reader
Mantano Free Reader
Complete Edition UEFA.com
Amazon.com Android App
Virtual City playground
Angry Birds Space Premium
and a couple more I can't recall
I didn't see anything in common among those apps, except the error was that it couldn't install on usb storage or sd card.
An hour ago, a friend of mine pointed out to me that I had a problem that I should look for the sd fix, and directed me to download CF Root 5.4 (I used CF Root 5.3 to root the phone after flashing the firmware).
Apparently there is a bug with 5.3 that caused this on some games and apps (no idea why). So, I flashed the new kernel root and all is well, I was able to restore the apps and data with Titanium.
I guess this same bug caused these apps to "vanish" in the first place.
Thanks for trying to help and sorry I failed stating my problem better. I hope now that I explained my issue and solution helps others.
If a any mod read this, please change the thread title accordingly.
Best regards,
formatting your phone is the best idea

Hi All!
I know this has probably been discussed a lot, but I'm still stunned that Android can't handle the way storage is done in the S3. I had this response from Samsung today on whether the JB release they're working on for the UK will fix it
"Unfortunately there are no known plans from within our Samsung team that indicates that improvement will be made to SD storage in the near future. Currently apps cannot be transferred from your phone to your SD card. "
I know there are a few linking solutions via rooting to move specific apps data, but I've only had the phone a month and don't really want to root it yet. Is that really the only solution? Also what's the simplest app to use if I do root, I want this to be an easy chore, not a geek fest (might be the wrong place to ask )

Hello,
Has anybody tried
[MOD][AD2SDX][ALPHA02] New Data To SD-EXT Mod - AMARULLZ DATA TO SD-EXT
on S5830i ?
The concept used in this seems interesting and will not affect performance.
Can somebody confirm if this thing works and if yes, on which rom.
I am a newbie and don't know much about android hacking/modding. I have only rooted my phone so far.
Update: According to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1949578&highlight=amarullz&page=5 , it has mixed reviews.
Wow! Claps. first, you posted a question that just looks like a news or a method from title. second, already been there for very long. Search before you post
What is this if you are asking a question then you can add a [q] so that every one can understand that this is a question and always remember these this things before starting a new topic
1.use google search
2.if you dont get your answer then search xda
Stop creating useless topics
