I was wondering if there are any good bumber cases for Z2.
Rubberised, aluminium etc etc. It just has to look and feel goodand also protect the phone from falls and stuff. I tried searching on Flipkart, Amazon etc but wasn't sure about the quality of those aluminium bumper cases. If anyone who've tried them can clear my doubts, let alone suggest me one. Thanks

Personally I use one of these (see link) from AliExpress. Not the same buyer I used but they are in there if you look for slightly cheaper. This case has a screw to keep the bumper on and my phone has survived MANY drops AND also was run over by a car! Still working though I was also using front and back tempered glass protectors, also my proximity sensor is bust, but took the pressure of the car and front screen survived. I put it down to this lock tight metal bumper.

This one. And i m thinking to buy one more. Personally i have not been able to find a good cover case hence i started using this bumper case and it lks good too. Thanks. I'm going to use this case as a car windscreen mount by adapting a Nokia CR-120 mount and gluing this case to it.
I've made several in the past for each phone I've had and they work really well.

Not necessarily. It depends what part of the phone the aluminum covers. Some only cover the outer perimeter and shouldn't make any difference to signal strength.

yes necessarily ! what you mean is "not at the same degree" . When you put metal all way around your phone you create the Faraday cage phenomenon which leads to degraded signal . If that is 10% or 40% it really depends but i wouldnt risk it. Just buy a plastic or leather one

Think there will be cool silicone covers and unique cases for the Touch HD similar to the iPhone? One thing about my Touch Pro and Tilt I have is they don't make silicone covers due to the slide out keyboard. On rare occasions I've dropped my Tilt on asphalt and scratched it bad.
Just want a good protector for a 1000 dollar phone when it comes out.
Would appreciate any info or rumors of accessories coming out..

What about those invisible shields? They are transparent stickers essentially that cover the entire phone. I think it would be better to have that as it protects the phone from scratches and still leaves the cool uncased form factor. I saw one on my friend's iphone. Looked fine.

I'm using a black Belkin silicone case meant for an iPhone 3G. I had to cut a hole for the camera and the headphones. It fits, but not too tight. I think it will hold me over until the official HD models hit the market.

looks nice, but not available until next year... i don't want to wait; i'd rather protect now with something cheaper an purchase HTC's version later.
My silicon arrived from ebay today. Package contains the case, a replacement screen protector (which I will not use - waiting for invisishield) and a useless neck strap (useless in that there is no strap loop on the case!).
The case itself fits easily, makes the Hd easier to hold in the hand, and makes me much less scared of dropping it.
Of course, now I have introduced a new surface into the equation, the propensity for scratches via this method increases. However, the fit is pretty good and I certainly prefer this to having the paintwork exposed all the time.

One of these came today. It is specifically for the THD. The fit is good the cut outs in the right place and the buttons sound and off operable through the rubber.
At £3.49 It will do for now.

I have tried them all, best case is either the capdase brand or official HTC TPU case. They both let your phone slide into your pocket easy, don't bulk out your phone, look great and offer good protection.
The Ebay jobs are just cheap rubbish you get fed up with after a week or 2.

Look up the Kraken AMS. That is a reasonable case.

Best thing about this type of case is it doesn't add too much bulk, and is easy to get in and out of your pocket (unlike a silicone/rubber case). And it will actually protect your phone in a drop unlike that case you linked to in your original post. As for your screen... only BIG cases include a plastic layer to completely cover the glass.
Are you just looking for something with raised edges, and then use a screen protector perhaps? (Like the ebay one I showed you).

this has been the best case for me so far, its very thin, and has a rubber skin with a hard plastic shell..the kraken, and defender are way to big for me. this case is just the right size its about the same size as a tpu case.

My case looks exactly the same and it was £3 from amazon.
IMO the thinnest cases are the back cases ones that doesnt really cover the top and bottom bezel...just the sides and back. BUT if you really want to protect your phone and not get it scratched up over time, you are better off using a TPU type case as the are not too thick and are of softer material and will not rub off any of the black anodized paint. Unlike any hard cases, whether its back only or 2 pieces. Also TPU cases are more absorbent during accidental drop on hard surfaces.
I was running seidio 2pc case hard case w/kick stand with my first 3d and although it had felt inside it eventually rubbed off the pain on the top corners of my phone. The felt inside was very thin and the case is not skin tight so it would move some and the slight movement of the case over time eventually sandpapered some of the paint off. TPU or rubber type cases are more skin tight and is not as abrasive as plastic on painted metal and will not damage the paint so long as you also clean it off from time to time. Some dirt can eventually get in between and the dirt will act as sandpaper. So just consider this when you're buying a case as some of you would probably like to sell your phone later down the road or just want to keep it looking new for a long time.

Those thin cases are the exact same thing as the case mate barely there cases. Much cheaper. I got the rock brand and like it a lot. You do lose that boot of protection at top and bottom though.
Some people have complained that these type of cases are a bit loose on the sides. Easy fix is to lightly squeeze the sides inwards... tight fit!

I got mine. The case even covers the camera also come with a screen protector which works well if you put it on str8 with no dust.. Tho the one you posted looks like it's for a extended battery.

I have the dual shine pro ..its an amazing case...dosent really attract dust for me....but the end next to the charger..has kinda loosened up a little .....dosent look all that bad ....but i guess that might be because i did pull it out of the case a few times ...but overall i love the case..i hate those flap cases..so for me its been awesome
Hmm. I might go caseless. I think I will be less likely to drop a large phone. I mean I've never dropped my 7 in tablet since I've had it.
Ended up ordering one of the cases. It's a little dusty but not like the silicon cases of old. Can't comment on how it fits the phone since it came before the phone did but it is not bulky by any means but should protect well.
Also found a glass screen protector by glass-m so I will have full protection!
I have one, the case should be good for protection,i don't think there are any other option out there, the option for z ultra is limited.
But it's not for me, there isnt any opening for the magnetic charging, only micro usb port opening.

I have an unexpected issue with the case....it smells....big time! The silicon smells like BO, mildew and rubber. Enough that its going to bother me when I hold the phone to my head to make calls!

Ahhhh i though it was just me, mine also smells so bad i even think the odor sticks to my hand.
Got the phone and the case. It's a bust. The smell can't be removed and its unbearable. The rubber collects dust and the little piece of rubber over the charge port area is already stretched and loose , the screen protector didn't adhere well either. Kind of a bust overall. Luckily I ordered the glass screen protector but I don't think I'll be using the case. May just use it naked I guess. Not very many other options. The incipio feather case would be better but I doubt a hard shell like that will provide as much impact protection.
Other than that I LOVE the phone.
Got this case today,inner silicone is good,only disappointed by the outer aluminum finish case.It feel cheap,will buy dualpro only if knew that earlier.

Indeed, it does not. Which is why I've ordered the Muvit Bimat back case instead, from Mobilefun.com, for $28 shipped.
The Spigen Ultra Hybrid case is well constructed like all of their other products. The case features a clear back and TPU bumper. Spigen claims that the back panel has a scratch resistant coating, which I found not be very effective. I have had the case on my phone for about 4 days now and there are noticeable scratches on the back already. Other than that big pitfall, the case is great. There isn’t a lot of added bulk to it, and it looks nice on the phone. The case itself is very slippery with the TPU giving you minimal grip. I am happy with the appearance of the case, but I might have to contact Spigen about their claims that it has a ‘scratch resistant coating’. I did not notice any difference compared to a regular clear plastic case which scratches just as easily.
Now we move onto the Spigen Slim Armor case. As with their other slim armor cases this one does in fact add some bulk to the phone. The feel is nice, but the edge where the plastic back meets the TPU has a sharp feel to it that I did not experience on my Note 3’s slim armor case. The one nice feature is the large cut out for headphones and the small TPU above the volume buttons that prevents your finger from sliding onto the camera lens. This case will more than likely be my daily driver because it protects the phone rather well.
Both of these cases feature a small 0.1mm lip that keeps your screen off whatever surface you may rest it on. This of course is assuming that you place your phone face down. The cases also accommodate the Spigen Nano tempered glass screen protector as can be seen in my pictures. I hope that Spigen continues to improve their products and comes up with a better coating to resist scratches on their Ultra Hybrid cases.

Are you referring to the case or Nova Launcher? It isn't that big of a case, but yes it does "rape" the original design to an extent.

Thing about hybrid cases is the softer inside cases starts loosing shape if you have a phone that gets a lille hot. It happens with my neo hybrid on the s4.. Just under the camera where the processor sits there's a bulge. Its because it gets hot near that area and now the back isn't flush but has a bulge and let's dust in through the camera cutout. So instead of protecting my phone the back cover is now scratched to bits. But the g3 slim armor case doesn't look like it will have that problem as the back plate covers most the back.

Supcase makes the same case as this, without the antenna cutout. Based on another user's feedback on one he got for his g3, they have a great fit. They also have good reviews for their other cases on amazon. I ordered one in clear/gray.

It is supposed to but due to the lg g3 being rounded it can't have feet to prevent scratches. Thus it scratches very easily o have tried 2 of them just in case the first was defective , but both scratch easily.

Yes it's the standard lip spigen has for all of the cases (neo hybrid, slim armor etc...) Its plenty to protect the screen.

But was wondering if Spigen had a US version of their Slim Armor case (no cut out for the antenna) for the LG G3. From pictures and information I've seen I didn't really see much. But I went ahead and ordered one off amazon anyway because I liked the design. I just received it in the mail today and opened it up, and found that it's a US version. It does not have the antenna cut out. Needless to say I was ecstatic, and figured I would post this for anyone needed such a case.

What has everyone found for cases? I'm using the clear Mpero Flex S case. It provides extra grippiness, decent protection and the clear one allows you to see the details of the phone.

I bought mine on swappa with a black incipio case,but I just use the verizon holster daily.
I got a stickerboy yellow skin for the back to stop the slippery feel.
Of course I made a pouch to carry it in.
I've also ordered a Skinomi full body skin and I'm going to try that for a while.
I have the black silicone case from Verizon when I got my phone together as a bundle, but I'm debating to myself whether I should go for a clear case that shows my phone's details. Clear cases get yellowing just because over time, it absorbs our oils and such. Will the flex cases do the same because of the material?

It's a TPU material. Mine hasn't yellowed yet, but then again it's not that old.
I like the holster kickstand case from Verizon. I don't use the holster cover and the hard kickstand body is protective and convenient with the kickstand. The black case with white phone looks sharp.

Very good Material, very good fitting, just perfect.
Used it on 2 oher Mobiles and im completely satisfied.
I'm using the incipio case from verizon with verizon's tempered glass protector. The case covers the edges nicely.
Has anyone came across a bumper case that exposes the back?
I use the otterbox defender. I would get a lifeproof case if they made one for the z3v.

I think you're way off in what Sony designed in their flagship series: the unneeded accessories for lifeproof cases. It's already designed and built to be IP68 ratings, meaning it's waterproof and dustproof for the phone itself. There is an article that tested how well its ratings are from the Z2 as someone dropped their in the middle of the ocean and had it recovered 3 weeks later.
The back glass panel cracked, but once charged up, it's still usable as if nothing happened.
And BTW, getting a lifeproof case will make your phone look like another iPhone from the outside. Dx

I stand corrected, SIX weeks at 32 feet underwater. That's an incredibly impressive feat.
Has anyone noticed that the Xperia Z2 (L50t) China version seems to be the exact design specifications as the Z3v. It appears we may be able to use all of its cases and screen protectors. I'm going to check it out and report back.*

That's interesting that there are many similarities and not many other sources discuss the design being similar. The only thing that I think the cases will do for our phones is leave open a space that's for the magnetic dock charger. Other than that, I hope it may work so it could open more case options.

I have a front and back tempered glass protector and a case coming from China for the L50t variant. I'll report back how they fit whenever they come in.

Here's the dimensions I found through some searches, seems like they're incredibly close, let's hope it fits for you!
L50T: 149 x 73.3 x 8.2mm
Z3V: 148.5mm x 73.4mm x 8.9mm
Z3: 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm
I'm using the Incipio case from Verizon. I've always used Otterbox Commuter cases on my phones, and this Incipio is the closest thing to that. I'm really happy with it so far.
I've really enjoyed the form and beauty of the Z3v without a case. I have a couple cases that I use on occasion when doing more rugged things, but this phone is a looker and I don't want to cover it up.
