Hello,
Ive been user of Power Toggles since my first Android phone which was Sony Xperia Arc S with android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich .
Recently i changed my phone to Xiaomi Redmi 2 and im running Android 6.0.1 CyanogenMod 13 Nightly and unfortunately, despite my phone being rooted i found out there are some Power Toggles buttons that are not working.
Location/GPS button is not turning on GPS. Mobile data button instead of turning it on with one click brings me to "Mobile data usage" settings submenu.
Thats why im looking for alternative app that will do those things and other like flashlight, LCD backlight strength, wifi on/off and others.

I am noticing some problems with my s3 after the official jellybean update. It feels like it has been rushed to the phone. For example it doesn't have the quick reply feature in the notification window. It does for missed calls but not for messages. This is one the most anticipated features for me. Also when watching you tube and you don't want the screen to rotate it now does. I want to lock the rotation so I only get the small video at the top when my phone is on its side. It worked before jellybean update. Also auto brightness has changed. When auto brightness is selected you can manually turn it up with the slider in the notification window and it disables auto brightness and changes to what you set on the slider. Now on jellybean you have to uncheck the auto brightness box and then slide. Little features like this are starting to make me feel like it has been a massive rush to get jellybean on to the s3 which is ironic seen as though it took long enough. I have the international i9300 model s3. Is anybody else noticing the problems I have stated? Does anybody know a way of changing/getting the features? Thanks.
They were definitely to busy with the Note II, I mean come on at least give their flag ship the same/some of the features that a bigger version of the S3 has... That sexy multitasking should have been on the initial jelly bean update.
94% to 77 % in 7 hours.
WIFI : On , PSM off
Most power and wakelocks were by Kernal.
Normal?
I'm on LJ4, stock kernel?
I've not got a clue what you're on about?

I know what you mean. The note got great features like the multi window. Apparently that's coming before the new year but I highly doubt that. Are you noticing the same problems I am? Another problem I found is when screen goes off after inactivity you used to be able to press the home button a moment after it goes off and it would turn the screen back on leaving you at the page you was. Now the home button takes you back to the home when you press it. It's annoying you have to go back to the app.

Me too, my problem is the battery with jb lj4
I think there is a few little niggles but overal its pretty much the same.
The autobrightness don't disable automatically now when you adjust the slider as you can now actually adjust the autobrightness brightness, Not sure why though.
Google Now - leaving it active at the mo, but not really found any usefullness from it as yet. The Time home feature is ok, would be good if it actually showed the route I take home - Via motorway, rather than the route through city center which i don't take!!
The new notifcation bar - its ok, nothing major. Expect a bit of all these features will improve over time as well once apps get proper updates. Some work but don't have full functionally - Songpop has no notifications now for example.
Battery Life - I did find that my normal phone use on ISC which included about 50/60 mins worth of calls etc wi-fi left on all the time but only actually connected to wi-fi at home (just 2G & 3G at work) i would have about 55/60% battery life left by the time i got home from work, on Jelly Bean - with the same useage i had about 40/45% left. I am now back to the same as before on ISC, but i didn't disable google now or anything just turned Wi-Fi off when left home and turn it back on when home - results was 55/60% battery remaining a as on ISC. Seems that the Wi-Fi drains when not connected - either it keeps on searching which it might not of done on ISC or its the Google Now doing something (Does say improve location by keeping wifi on - does this even if not connected!!) - Least this way i can still use google now and see how it improves its tags overtime.
I am now using a App called WiFi Timer to automatically switch Wifi on and off when i leave/get home.
Love that it now has voice downloaded so you can text etc with no data connection - find its more accurate now as well!
Never had the small vids on Youtube when rotated phone so not sure about that. Take it disabling autorotate doesn't do this?
Good and Bad
My experience is as follows:
Good:
Sheer speed, no perceivable lag.
A problem I had with only half the SMS notification tone being played (before it cut off) has gone away.
Bad:
Battery drain terrible even when idle. Turning off Google Now, Location Services and Samsung Push Notification fixed this.
When I activate Smart Stay, the screen does not want to turn off 80% of the time - even when I'm not looking at it.
When I wake the phone using the home key, it exits the app I was in. Previously, this would wake the device and return you to the current app (after unlocking). I have a partial work around using the PreHome app; this way the app is still visible underneath the PreHome dialogue box and I just need to press Back to get to my app again.
Widgets, seem to refresh less regularly, particularly Messaging and Gmail widgets which seem to hardly even refresh when I want them too.
Of No Consequence:
The red charging led is a little dimmer when charging.
Overall:
The speed benefits outweigh the niggles - just!

No need for an App. You can do it inbuilt.
Go to Wifi, Menu button and Advanced

Yep i know, but this app is far better as it lets you setup different profiles for mornings, evenings & weekends etc which the inbuilt one don't. :good:
root?
i may just root my phone as i really am not happy with this jellybean update, nothing has really improved for me, if i root it and install a rom like codename all the features like quick reply would be there right?
Hey got the Revolt rom (jelly bean ) today for my samsung galaxy s2 i9100g, but I am dissapointed for some aspects. Any solution to these problems will be appreciated.
1. Wifi just does'nt turn on.
Cannot turn on wifi. The slide wifi menu on the top does not work. In settings, they say " turning on " but that goes on for over and hour and still no change. This is the most annoying among the glitches.
2.No widgets???
No widgets? Are you serious??? One of the android's main plus points are the widgets, and you cant add widgets to your homescreen by long pressing it. If it is possible how to do this?
3.Play button does'nt work!
The play button at the top of the menu does not work! Wtf! That was one of the best things in jb.
4.Solid explorer trial expired from the biginning
Solid explorer, one of the featured aspects of this rom, does not run just cuz the trial expired from the very first moment of opening it? And we've got no other loaded file managers also...
I need a solution to these...fix these please devs....
I've been recently thinking about flashing the latest stable CyanogenMod into my Galaxy S3, having been really satisfied with CM 7.2.0 on the Galaxy Ace. However, having seen a friend of mine who flashed Cyanogen into his phone, I have a couple of insecurities about some system features I'm afraid I might lose.
Specifically:
Will I lose USB and wifi tethering? I use it to give my home computer internet without having to put my laptop's Ethernet and wifi on bridge mode, and back when I had my old Galaxy Ace, CM 7.2.0 didn't have USB tethering while Samsung's official ROM did.
Will I lose the power saving mode? I find it very, very useful when I go on a night out, which means having to keep the phone on for at least 12 hours straight. I kinda have seen that axing the phone's maximum CPU speed to 800 MHz kinda helps, as well as using GO Power Master's 3G pulse mode (so I can keep receiving messages while having the 3G off), but I have yet to do some extra testing.
Will I lose the notification bar toggles? When I checked my friend's Galaxy S3 with CyanogenMod, it didn't have any power toggles on the top bar. I tried using an app called Power Toggles, but My Data Manager interferes with it, it doesn't have full access to the system's toggles (like the GPS which as far as I know is per Jellybean's programming), and its flashlight also turns off after I lock the screen.
How do other third party launchers (Apex, Nova, GO) perform compared to Samsung's TouchWiz launcher? (haven't installed them yet because that would mean having to put again in folders every single shortcut for my ~200 apps).
Will I lose the NFC? I'm fine with settling for Android Beam instead of S Beam, but will I be able to keep the NFC function? I kinda remember my friend saying CyanogenMod 10.1 didn't support it.
Lastly, how does Cyanogen's camera compares to Samsung's? I find the picture stabilizer, button zoom, picture burst and panoramic stitch modes extremely useful, though I remember Cyanogen 7.2.0 having the ability to bind the volume up button to the shutter, which allowed for some seriously stable shots.
Thanks in advance.
1) no
2) can be replaced with various apps such as SetCPU
3) can have toggles like now or quick tiles. Choice of both. Or none.
4) Much better. Better on Touchwiz ROMS too
5) I dont use it but its in settings so I assume it works
6) Its not quite as good.
1-4) As answered above.
5) Yes it works.
6) Camera isn t as good as the stock Samsung camera. But everything pretty much works. Recently, touch to focus with flash also got fixed in CM.
Note : - If you try CM, I advice you to try Temasek s ROM. It is based on CM. And it has quite a few nifty features added extra + kernel with features ported from Andreilux kernel (Good battery backup) [This is just my personnel opinion and I am in no way advertising any ROM].
Hi guys, originally I developed this app for Samsung Galaxy S7, however it may work also on A5 and A7 (Android 7.0+ is required) as both have the home button with integrated fingerprint sensor. I can't guarantee it will work, but if anyone is interested, give it a try and post your results
It turns the fingerprint sensor on Galaxy phones into a capacitive Home button - so you don't need to press the button physically, just touch it like a sensoric button.
Original topic is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/themes/fingertouch-apk-fingerprint-sensor-t3596588
And you can download the app on PLAY STORE or in the above topic.
So it works perfectly on the A5 2016 with the Nougat update.
But is it possible that you can add that you can turn the phone on? So when the screen is off it goes to the lockscreen.
Unfortunately that's not possible with app because fingerprint sensor is deactivated when screen is off, it's a system limitation.
Hello @ranwej. Loved the app, been using it ever since I got my S7 but now that I've updated my OS to Oreo, there seems to be a problem when unlocking the phone with fingerprint. Instead of just touching the home button, you have to swipe up to unlock the phone now. I have tried turning off the Fingertouch app and unlocking it has no issues. Please fix, I would like to always keep this app on.

not working on a510f with rr 7.0.2 pie nice idea thou :good:
The recent FunTouch OS 12 has a lot of features missing. It feels like IQOO has rolled up the updates in a hurry.
1. No Android 12 Clock widget.
2. No Quick Panel tiles like Android 12.
3. Dark mode not getting applied on App Drawer.
4. Etc etc
Bloody hell, when will we get Origin OS for Indian market.
This device has so much potential if they just unlock the bootloader for installating custom roms
Disabled animations in Developer menu doesn't get applied either
Also, home screen is not coming from many widgets like the one we get by swipimg right from left edge
This seems like an Alpha version without much testing and stitching with animations quite annoying like dark mode not applying to app drawer
This is almost the the first few versions when we bought the device during launch. Only after one June or July upgrade things became like a release version. Established that IQOO OS team for IQOO 7 releases updates without proper testing and going through beta testing as such issues were never encountered in IQOO 3 with IQOO OS which people for some reason criticize

Same here. Gets blindingly bright in the middle of the night. My phone also keeps crashing atleast 3 times a day. Waiting for a fix update.

Yup, same here as well. Plus sometimes when I enable battery saver the brightness also increases even if auto brightness is turned off and manual bright is set to lowest possible value.
I still have similar issues on my Vivo X80 Pro and many familiar features like the new Control Center are still missing! What shoud that? OriginOS would be so much better, why do you have to develop such a bad operating system internationally. I don't get it and I'm actually very, very excited about the X80 Pro but the software totally ruins the experience!
