Thank you @Røbin would want to ask you a last question. Doing this can I increase my battery backup. I read online that Greenify increases battery upto 4 hour's. Doing this will it open my doors to this magnificent world??
Might sound irritating about my questions but I'm a newbie and scared not to brick my phone.

Well you can of course but this is all up to how you'll gonna use your phone.Root maybe give some advantage but be careful not to modify system without knowing what you are doing otherwise you might brick your phone.Greenify is good for rooted phone. It can give you some battery perfomence.

If it is a stock android 6 then rooting might be a problem at least for you or if it is a custom rom you can gain root access from the developer options in the setting.

Can you check if there's an option to access root in developer options in the setting. If you don't know how to do it just go to About and press build number for many time to visible developer options in setting.

Ok I got it.Use kingo root or king root pc app to root your phone. If this method also don't work then there is nothing you can do right now.But one way you can have root by unlocking phone bootloader.

Hi Guys,
I've got a Desire, this white x10 is for my GF. It's running android 1.6, baseband 1.1.25 and is build number R2BA020.
I want to root it. I found a one touch root apk online which says, after running "woot, you're rooted". Personally, I don't think it's done anything.
I'd quite like to get Android 2.2 on here. Can someone help me achieve this?
Thanks

Hi.
You can use Titanium Backup, which is what I use but there others that are recommend too but as Mezzo said the one click root method won't affect your apps.
If i root my mobile does my warranty expires, right? so i wanted to ask how can i "unroot" my device?

Depends how you rooted it, for many of us it's just a click, but if you used one of the old methods then you would have to reflash.

With the one Click Root - I dont believe us "AT&T users" can Install 3rd party apps...You'd have to root it the conventional way is my guess after reading a couple threads. Chances are, You're better off doing it that way anyways, Then you can Back up your APN's, and get everything working with a completely debranded, Rooted X10a
I just bought my LG Volt 2 a month ago, and I'm ready to make it MINE! Unfortunately, I think this phone is too new, because I can't find anything helpful on how to root it. I tried "kingroot" and after it did a few things, it said I was successfully rooted. BUT, when I started up "SuperSU" it says it has to download some things, and its never successful and informs me to restart my phone and to press the restart tab. When I press the restart tab, it says "attempting to restart phone" but it can't. I'm on the 5.1.1 operating system, and using an LG Volt 2 (LGLS751). Is there any advise out there that someone can offer me? Am I REALLY rooted? Has anyone successfully rooted this phone yet? If so please tell me where I can find the steps. I have faith that my XDA community will pull through. Thanks everyone!

Considering this is an open community, why not just post your method for finding root here like everyone else does. Then we can verify your method through duplication. We can also test your methods using different firmware versions, different scenarios (such as from stock, from partially rooted by one-click methods, from bricked, etc.).
I myself just acquired an LS751. No battery, but that is an easy fix. No FRP, so that will not be an issue. I know the person who originally owned it anyways. This phone has great potential. Please share your method so we may all benefit. We will definitely give you the full credit if your method can be verified or refined to a validated method.
I know I am quiet guys, but I have been around for a very long time in these forums. I remember when I fumbled my way into getting a Motorola Atrix 2 ROM to work on an original Motorola Atrix. I wish now I had published my methods and dealings, for the collaboration of developers in these forums brings about the greatness we see in Dirty Unicorns (Which was the ROM I used, I believe it was AOKP at the time though), Paranoid Android, etc. My experimentation would have accelerated the development process.
Please do share your findings and let us all help in developing and refining methods.
After reading a post saying that there is no known root method for 35b, I set out to find one.
I am surprised to find out that rooting actually takes only five minutes, and does not require a computer.
You only need to go to http://kingroot.net/wap/ on your phone, scroll to the bottom, click download, make sure Settings -> Unknown sources is enabled, and install KingRoot apk when it is done downloading.
Open the app, scroll down until you see the 'Try it' button, click it, wait for the app to connect to its server, and press the big round button.
The app roots your phone and provides root access management without reboot. Enjoy!!!
Please contact me if you have any concerns.

Edit 1:
The Kingroot one-click-root application does not exist on the Play Store! Such rooting tools are considered malware/viruses for running exploits and are a violation of the guidelines and not permitted! The tool is safe, however; dont worry about it too much. The Kingroot and similarly named apps on the Play Store are fakes and do not do much of anything, hence the crappy reviews. Stop looking on the Play Store. That is entirely misleading.

Yes you can root 35b with kingroot and use SuperSume pro paid app or this guide to remove kingroot. If you do this you will still have stock recovery though so my advice is to keep reading and decide what you need/want to do.

Likewise, im just as hesitant as you are buddy I tried searching for the kingroot app on playstore, there were quite a few with the name so i decided to just give a look at all of them, and all of them had mostly negative reviews how it would stop at 90% and some of the users complained how their devices got bricked. This made me hesitant to proceed further with the app.

I can confirm that this method works on 35B. I rooted last night, and it seems to be working okay. Although after trying my first root program, the phone got significantly hot. It also rebooted once. But after that it seemed to work fine, it just gets a little warm when using a root app. I think its because i chickened out and closed kingroot during the root process, causing the root to be just a tad messed up. An hour later i opened up kingroot again to fully root it and it was already rooted.
I am buying a new phone today, considering the G3 from verizon. My question is will it come with the 35B or the 46A update, and if it comes with the 46A update does this method still work? Sorry for my lack of knowledge, have never rooted a phone before but recently became interested. Thanks for any help
Worked perfect for me according to root checker
Worked flawlessly, rooted with Kingroot, then installed and ran Supersume Pro. Now fully rooted 5.1.1 with Supersu, not a trace of Kingroot left!
Working!
I confirm that work with vs985 35b, I follow the step right now I want to install marshmallow

I temp rooted mine with dirty cow, however it gained me very little. There are three main obstacles: 1) SELinux prevents most things from working, because each program runs within a tight security context, 2) using dirty cow causes the kernel to not save changes to the partition (it doesn't want to write a corrupted partition to disk), in other words a r/w /system is useless, even when you can finally write to it, 3) using dirty cow on the most attractive programs (from a permissions perspective) causes "little" problems like the screen going off.
I've been monitoring another XDA thread (sorry, link is at home) where they are working through these issues on another device. There are various approaches and workarounds, but they currently all involve way more risk than I can justify for a $500 phone.
AIUI, once you've got root, you need to be able to put selinux into permissive mode, but surely getting temp root is a start?
Can you not install systemless root?
If I got the dates right, the phone kernel should be affected by this bug. A proof of concept seemed to be promised by the reporter in the next few days. http://seclists.org/oss-sec/2016/q4/607
Will be interesting to see how it compares to dirty cow as far as access.

Please note that the phone is 64-bit. This is source code that requires compilation and additional code to do anything useful. Prerequisites include the NDK and related build tools installed via Android Studio. I run Linux so it was relatively painless, but I imagine it might be more of a challenge under Windows.

Hi. I know this thread is about the Lenovo Phab2 Pro and I have the Lenovo Phab2 but maybe someone can help me. I tried what was suggested on this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/phab-2/how-to/how-to-root-phab-2-pb2-650y-t3524305 But it seems I screwed up and now the phone gets stuck in the Lenovo sign. I'd really appreciate some help since I just bought this phone 2 days ago and now I can't use it. I can access TWRP but it seems there's nothing in /system. I think maybe that's the problem. I'm no expert but since I had rooted and downgraded and upgraded firmware several times on my previous phone, a LG G3. I thought maybe I could do this. I shouldn't have If someone can help me I'd really appreciate. Thanks in advance.
I was able to fix this. Sorry to have bothered.
Hi,
I've been able to get proper root access on this phone. One new problem I am facing is that the tango camera and sensors doesn't seem to work. Normal camera works just fine.
Is this related to the rooting or can it be anything else entirely?
Edit: Never mind. I was able to fix it without having to remove the root. Apparently 'Tango Core' didn't have permissions to access camera. I am not sure how that got reset. So I gave access to it and now it works just fine.

Long story short.
I picked up this cheap tablet because i want to install it in my car permanently. If it gets stolen it's easily replaceable. It is a SM-T227U
Upon buying it I've found out a couple things. I can't root it? And
I cant use android auto on it.
I've heen digging through these forums but the threads are kinda confusing. Would anyone have time to walk me through a root process and show me how to obtain whatever os I need to accomplish what I'm trying to do? My biggest concern right now is getting android auto to connect wirelessly to my Kenwood.
I side loaded the apk but, my device still won't connect for audio. Only calls. Which I don't have lol
