hello guys as the title suggests I want to know that which camera app is best for cm13 on s4 ?.? currently I am using tw rom and want a shift to cm13 but camera quality is pathetic. Is there a way to run snap camera from cm 13 on s4 exynos variant?

Hey all,
Was wondering if there was a rom out there that has both cameras working but at full 5mp & 1.3mp respectively and not low quality like in cm10.
Thx

Any current up to date custom ROM and stock ROM has camera working. This variant of the tablet has a 3 MP shooter. Pictures look fine to me on CM10.
I would like to know if there is a good alternative for the stock camera app. Not an app, a mod or a camera from another version of Android that work fine on 4.3. I'd love Camera mod 2.56 and the one from note2 but Ican't intall them on 4.3

Try focal on play store. It's the CM camera app that was 'outsourced' to play store quiet recently

yeah, I have focal but... I can't record videos with it. So for now I'm using stock but I dislike the way you configure it by touch and swipe-up. I will try the JG+ and will see. I'm searching for a comparison on quality of the pics taken bu every mod I can run on my SGS3 but it's hard. Maybe I will do it one day
I'm rooting my Verizon Galaxy S4 (16g) with Cyanogenmod but only thing that stops me right now is the camera. The camera on the phone works great with Samsung's camera software. But since I'm moving on from Touchwiz to Cyanogenmod, I'm curious if there is any way to keep the Samsung's camera app on a custom rom. Thank you.
Unfortunately the Samsung Camera App requires the Touchwiz framework. It doesn't work on AOSP roms. You can try the Eclipse rom. It has that AOSP look and feel but is touchwiz based so it has the Samsung Camera app on it. The dialer, settings, contacts, and notification panels are all AOSP.

You can only use it on a TW rom. It hooks into proprietary TW framework that we can't get source code for to port to AOSP.
If you use a GPE rom, such as the one by Danvdh, it's a little different. Since these are built on the GPE device base they're still AOSP roms but they use Samsung drivers for the camera. It's still as not as good as the full TW camera, but with a third party app (Google's camera still sucks) it's the best camera experience you'll get on AOSP on this phone.

All very true.. Have you used that Lenovo Super Camera??? I thougt it was really cool, comparable to the Wiz Camera, just depending on which version you found it either required all sorts of permissions/libraries . if we could scrounge up just an easy to install... No permissions Lenovo that'd be cool

Yeah I tried it right when it got pulled from that Intel phone Lenovo came out with, I've never been much of a camera aficionado though. I thought the gallery app was really cool but a lot of Chinese all over the place lol.

Hi guys.
Lets see what his ur favorite rom version it's KK our LP?
I'm using the slim Kat 9.0 version.
I go with kk, 5.1.1 rom are good but the problem I'm facing is the camera. Camera on LP are lack of features plus I been buying numbers of camera apps from the Google Play, none of them are smooth most are laggy and full of bugs.
KK on the other side retains the Samsung stock camera. Which leave me with much smoothness and more options.
Should have started this thread/discussion in the general section not here fellas...

If you really can't live with the stock Camera app, I would suggest you to use stock MiUI ROM.
