Note 4 Replacement and Factory Restore? - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear Friends,
I have an opportunity to buy a LG V10 (replacing my Note 4) with an option to return within 30 days. My questions are:
1. If I Unlock Bootloader, Root, and TWRP it, (not sure if it will be on LP or MM), is there a way to completely return the phone to the way I received it, in case I want to return it? If so, can someone point me to the directions?
2. Is it worth replacing the Note 4? If so, why do you think?
3. Bonus question: Anyone try the T-Mobile SIM Unlock from Ebay for this phone ranging from $10 to $17... Does it work? Can anyone confirm?
Thank you for your help in advance! Lookin forward to some responses! ?

I had the note 4, and traded it in for the V10. Honestly I miss having the note 4, and wish I had kept it.

Thanks for the response Bildo, can you comment further on why that was the case?
Any input on my restore question?

*Bump* any help guys?

[Q] Android and Note noob, need advice

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has already been answered, but I'm losing focus reading all the posts on the subjects. And I'm on a limited timeframe, so I would really appreciate if someone could help me or point me at information that I can use. I'm totally new to Android - replacing my iPhone.
I just got a Note from Rogers (Canada). I have 2 weeks to return if I'm not satisfied. I like Note but it's locked and I travel a lot, so I need to unlock it. There are too many options here and I'm getting confused:
1. Google gives me a lot of links to some shady websites that promise an unlock via some magic. Are these legit? Do they work? I couldn't find any definite answer.
2. Rooting/replacing ROMs/other crazy stuff. I'm ok with this as long as I know that I can unlock the device and it will stay unlocked. I would prefer to wait until ICS is released, but I need an unlock soon
So, my questions are:
1. Is going with Note from Rogers a good idea? Or should I spend money on an unlocked version from Europe?
2. Should I buy Roger's version outright? Expensive and I'm paying my 3 year term anyway Then they can unlock the phone for a fee ($50).
3. Can I use one of those online unlocking sites? Or will I just get ripped off and won't get the actual unlock?
4. Does the phone stay unlocked after an update (like to ICS) if online unlockers are used and work?
5. Seeing how different the versions of Note are is there a chance that the Canadian version (Roger's) will get much less attention in the area of third-party devs simply based on the number of users? Or it doesn't matter? I would really love to get into modding and having some real nice functionality/wigets/look-and-feel on the device.
Well, sorry for being so verbose. I would appreciate any help on this. My other choice would be to get a Galaxy Nexus instead, but I'd hate to give up this huge screen.
Thanks in advance! Hope this is not totally off-topic. If it is, I'm sorry for that.
cellunlocker.net is what most have been using, if record ur process of unlocking ur phone and send it to them they refund ur money i myself couldn't record it so i paid but well worth it 25 bucks and its pretty quick just check ur spam folder in mail if ur using gmail mine was there within two hours
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
Thanks for the advice. Used the service, got the code in couple of hours and unlocked my phone! Happy as can be!
P.S. It cost me $7.99 to unlock Rogers Note.

[Q] Sprint Note 3 unlock

So I have already looked through the various threads about this topic.
I am trading my iPad that I don't use anymore for a Note 3. I have an iPhone 5S on AT&T and I will be keeping the Note 3 until I sell it or trade it or something.
So I know that they were able to achieve the domestic SIM unlock on the Sprint GS4.
I know that it is possible, but has anyone taken the time to try to come up with the way? I know I probably won't get LTE but HSPA is ok. I will just be using it in the meantime anyway. It has a clean ESN for Sprint if that helps. Do I need to internationally unlock it through sprint first? I might be able to do that through the person I am trading with her account. Thanks
P.S. I have found this if this helps and if any of you could tell me if it is legit.

[Q] swapping motherboard

Hi All, I first want to say I appreciate any help.
So here is my issue. I bought a note 3 n900p off ebay under the assumption
that you could unlock it as with most phones. Because of my lack
of research I find to my horror that I aquired a note 3 that cannot be unlocked.
I read the thread that explained all about it and also read that someone has come up
with a solution but is waiting in pledges to release it and im not sure exactly how
that works or how advanced the method is. So my question is that A: is it only that n900p that is
damn near impossible to unlock? And B: would swapping in another mother board from say
A n900r4 be campitable and allow me to unlock it for use in Canada? Is the phone chassis the same?
I heard that it is just sprint that has a version of the note 3 that is not unlockable. Any info or guidance would be much appreciated.

Just got some phones that were never activated on "N900PVPUBMI3". Should I Keep?

Just got some phones that were never activated on "N900PVPUBMI3". Should I Keep?
I just got some phones on "N900PVPUBMI3" firmware. This is amazing. What are the odds of getting note 3's with first stock firmware.
Should I upgrade them all the way to "N900PVPUEOK2" or keep them the way they are?
Is there security problems with this? If you don't care about your data is it cool?
What do you guys think?
I'd keep them as they are and have them unlocked in only the hacky way that you can unlock sprint phones. You might be able to get some use or extra money out of them then...? I just wish I'd have waited to buy the Note 3 till I figured out what I was doing about switching cellular plans this month. I'm on a Sprint MVNO right now but want to switch to T-Mobile. These phones aren't very friendly when it comes to trying to unlock them I may have to get a completely different one if I want to stick with the Note 3. So, my advice is to try to unlock them as-is.
