Hi everyone, i have recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. The phone does work fine, but when i try to connect to a Wi-Fi i can't. When i'm in the Wi-Fi settings i can't find any Wi-Fi connection that are nearby me... It keeps saying 'Scanning for Wi-Fi networks' without any result. And when i go to 'Add network' and then type my Wi-Fi info, it does connect but when i go somewhere else and come back it's like it has forgotten the Wi-Fi and i need to type it overnew.
Here is an example:

Can anyone please help me?
I've got exactly the same problem. I didn't upgrade the OS (that I'm aware of) but suddenly my S6 can't see any wifi networks. The only change I've made is with my home network wifi but I think that's a red herring - all other devices (ipad, iphone, PC) see the access point fine so I think it's just a coincidence my phone stopped working at around the same time (yesterday). Just did a factory reset and the problem remains. Being on mobile data is going to get real expensive, real quick...
** actually just to add, I can't even connect to the wifi network by typing in the name of the network, it still doesn't connect...

Hello
i found a bug !!!
with 2.3.4 (0.62 firmware) and 802.1x EAP protected network, there is no way to do work wifi.
If i set the Phase 2 autentication in Maschpv2 and save it, the system doesn't save it really, en fact if i go again in "modify network", phase 2 autentication shows "none". Thisi is a native android bug unsolved with ICS and affects most of the terminals of all brands (samsung, htc, sony etc.) from 2.2 to 4.0.3 but .... with the Sony build 3.0.xxx.145 this didn't happen .
Now i can't use wifi at my college with this protection protocol.
Is there a fix for a non rooted phone?
Noone can say me something?
Sony support say me they tried in your 802.1x protected network, and the wifi work, but i'm sure this only happened for me until build 3.0.xxx .
Then, here there is the official android ticket
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=15631#makechanges
I have noticed it too. It does save the phase-2 verification, because I can connect normally to the network, but as soon as you modify the network you must set it again.
My university's network uses PAP by the way.

hey brother i doubt you changed any settings other than setting password.
try factory reseting your router
on the back of the router you may find a small hole below which it should be written reset or maybe not
put a pin inside it for about 35 to 40 seconds and release it while you insert the pin you should hear sound like pressing of a button
NOTE : YOU HAVE TO do all setting of your router again which the network operator had done on first time
and also hit thanks for me
Thanks for ur answer
Yesterday i tried to switch to CyanogenMod 14.1 and was booted successfully. But there was no fingerprint option in settings and no volte
So i flashed some files related to volte fixing and fingerprint fixing...but they didn't help...
Luckily i had made backup so i wiped data, dalvik, cache, internal storage and restored my current rom i.e havoc 9.0
Here fingerprint worked just fine, but there was some issue with my network, whenever i tried to make a call,it disappeared then it came back as soon as call ended automatically...i searched over internet and found there was some issue with my apn settings so i restored them and it worked...i was able to make calls and use internet...
But soon i noticed that i am not connected to internet fully, after some time i get disconnected to internet automatically I can't access anything except Google while the network bar shows internet is working...
I need to put my device in airplane mode and switch it back over and over again to make it working...
Kindly help me out please...thanks in advance:crying:

my phone has a problem with bluetooth.
when connecting to a car radio via bluetooth, two whitewash should be created: "Audio" and "Calls"
Some time ago the "Calls" connection stopped working, while the "Audio" connection is working properly. I can listen to music, but I cannot speak hands-free.
The phone displays a message: "unable to connect"
I found out that bluetooth stops connecting immediately after logging into Samsung account or Samsung Cloud
Before logging in, everything works fine, but once you log in to the Samsung account, the connection is immediately lost.
I created a new account but the result is the same.
Logging out of your account gives nothing.
Reset network settings, cache, data, etc. gives nothing.
I flashed the phone again - it did not help
It only helps to reset to the factory settings and after that do not enter the Samsung account, but the programs necessary for me will not work without it.
I don't understand the reason why this problem occurs. Perhaps the reason is some kind of update from Samsung
I can't understand what happens to the system when I log into my Samsung account.
how can I solve this problem?

You better find out what is 5G.
I don't know if it's a troll or not but i will try to give an explanation anyway. When you aren't using wifi and you need to connect to internet you use a wireless connection that connects you to a signal tower, usually owned by your phone operator. This is called "data connection" on your phone, and it depends on your operator and it usually has a limited amount of gigabytes. When you are using "5G" you are using the latest iteration of this technology, is faster than 4g and 3g but the concept it's the same, you use it to connect to internet.
When you use wifi, you simply don't need it, because the connection to internet is given by your router.
That's why the icon disappears, when you use one, you don't need the other and viceversa.
sorry for my mistak.
