You can unlock on any machine...
32 bit isn't the problem...
Xiaomi servers aren't regularly updated, that's why you are getting this error.... wait for about 10 days and try again...

RUU upgrade didn´t finish after 8 hours.
I think it never started, because all what I could see is word USB in the top of the dispaly after the scren that showed my old ROM versions and the new ones, and I accepted the Start upgrade.
After retrying RUU as suggested in several posts, I get ERROR 101. Connection error. Check cables, power, ....
It seems that bootloader is missing, as I can not get into it (only words Serial/USB on top and v 1.01 at bottom of the screen).
Do I have any solution. (I bougth it in Hong Kong THREE days ago!!), and I am live in Spain.
Can anybody tell me what is the machine waiting for when shows Serial/USB screen ??
What can I further do ?
Problem solved !!
It seems that the problem was in mi portable (Windows 98 Second edition).
After starting upgrade again with a Windows 2000 machine all worked perfectly.
Is it documented any problem upgrading with Windows 98 SE ??
well 98SE is a pretty old os which usb support is not as good as later os's
also dident ms stop supporting it altogther ?
they wanted to anyway not sure if they desided to support it anyway

Upgrades are only supported in Windows 2000 and XP.
Grtz,
Jos
Ok that upgrade is only supported under W2K or XP,
BUT
it didn´t mentioned it in the presentation scren
AND
it starded ERASING my flash.
I think that an OS check can be performed and this problem can be easily corrected.
You can imagine how i felt during the three days that I have my XDA dead.
it's windows...
what did you expect...
I've heard people say they have gotten Odin to work on their 64 bit versions of windows, but I cant. I am able to use it on a computer running Windows 7 - 32bit, but not either of the computers I've got running 64 bit.
I've definitely installed the 64 bit the drivers. I can access the phone in ADB on these computers. Odin sees the phone and throws up a com port, but I get a weird error message with Chinese characters when I try to move forward with the flash.
Anyone have a definitive answer? Is it possible to use Odin on Win 7 64bit?
I flashed the leaked J12 with Odin on my 64bit Windows 7 laptop without any trouble.
I flashed with Odin on my W7 64bit desktop. Had a little trouble with it sticking on the verifying files at the beginning, but restarted it and it ran fine the second time. That's the only experience I've had with Odin. Just though I'd let you know that it works on my 64bit machine.
Thanks guys. I dont know what the hiccup is on my end. I might go through my drivers again just to make sure that isnt the issue.
I would highly suspect that the drivers are the issue as have used Odin on 2 separate 64bit machines. Make Sue that after u download the Sammy drivers, that they are installed, and installed correctly.
they call me...kick ass
I was never able to make any win7 system recognize my vibrant in dl mode at all, 32 or 64 bit, no matter what drivers i tried. I even tried to extract the 64 bit drivers to the 32 bit Os as I had seen mentioned in a thread some people had success with. Xp ran it like a champ on the first attempt.

I know were talking about different phones here but I've been scouring the internet trying to find a solution to a problem I'm having right now. when switching from 1 custom ROM to another, it was required that I flash to stock EC05, then flash to EE?? my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 wouldnt work properly (kept getting stuck in boot.bin in ODIN0 but my old faithful Netbook with Windows XP Home SP3 (x86) workd flawlessly!
I'm talking 3 HOURS of trying to get the Win7x64 to work properly and had my Epic reflashed with XP in 3minutes and 27 seconds, not counting time to install Samsung Drivers into XP (30-45 seconds)
Granted this is my experiance, but before I got x64 I was running with Win7 X86 and still never had problems. I have read through Google search that other people with x64 Windows 7 had problems. This is my story only, best of luck to ya, but I am now ONLY going to use my ol Netbook (or x86 virsion of Windows) to ODIN my phone.
Never Stop Wanting More from your devices.
Im using 64 windows OS and i don't have a problem. If your device is not recognize by your PC just reinstall the samsung drivers and you are good to go.
Sometimes you have to go into the safe mode options and disable driver enforcement policy. Then it will work.

As the title suggests, I am interested in rooting my new Evo 3d, but I only have access to my new computer running Windows 8 64 bit. I see they have 64 bit adb and fastboot drivers, is there any real reason that Controlbear or some other method wouldn't work? I was able to root my Galaxy Nexus using Win 8 at one point, but the Jbear site says Windows 8 "WILL NOT WORK" I did a search but couldn't come up with anything.
Any suggestions?
Dont know why it shouldnt work...
Is there still a compatibility mode in windows 8?
If so u could try it with that...
Just try and tell us and we know it next time
Well as long as theres not a significant chance of me bricking my brand new phone, I'm always up for trying haha.
Save the files from ur sd, thats some times a Problem with jbear....
And just in case maybe a nandroid ^^
But the chance to brick it is very low i think
Awesome. I'll of course back everything up haha. Is there any reason they warn against 64 bit?

Honest!y i think you should wait a week or so before you install cm so you can see if theres any problems and if any, simply send to warranty.. but if u really want to, theres plenty of guides of how to install mtk drivers for win10 just google it
I tried every tutorial that i found but it doesnt work, maybe you are right to wait an little bit, when there is something wrong with the Phone.
Thank you
i have the same problem. I end up using my old laptop with windows XP which works flawlessly to flash roms.
My advice: use windows XP :silly:
Win 10 does not support unsigned drivers any more
The problem with P9000 not being found has to do with Win 10 not supporting unsigned drivers any more since anniversary update. Find PC with older windows or try a virtual windows PC.
I tried a virtual PC today, but it didnt work also. but that Time i think it was The Problem of the virtual Machine maybe i find someone who has a PC with XP
I found the solution, when you press Volume + and then Plug it in it works.
Hi, I'm currently having problems unlocking my POCO F1. I've currently attempted on a Windows 10 (Ryzen 1200, 12 GB RAM) and a Windows 7 (Lenovo Thinkpad S1 i5) Laptop.
On the Win 10 PC the phone isn't reconized, I've reinstalled drivers, used ADB drivers then reinstalled Xiaomi drivers.
On the Win 7 Laptop the unlock program gets stuck on the login screen, not displaying it.

I have no love for drivers so just install/update Mi PC SUITE. 9/10 it works for me.
https://www.androidpit.com/forum/780683/how-to-solve-mi-pc-suite-not-detecting-phone
Yeah that seems to not be working. It's not detected and both USB Debugging options are on and OEM Unlocking whilst also trying to use older versions. (And it's not supported according to the site?) Edit: Also sometimes it'll display Press any key to shut down or something on the lines of that when Windows detects it.
Try following the instructions from this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwWGv5DKXFc.
This worked for me.
Uhhh I'm having a problem unlocking the bootloader

AMD Ryzen will not work. Use an Intel Win 10 PC. Try different USB ports and cables.
@aerospaz, one thing to note is that you can't use USB 3 ports. You have to use USB 2. If your Lenovo only has USB 3 ports, get a cheap USB hub and connect through that. It took me over a week of trying before I stumbled on a post that mentioned that. Once I connected through a hub, I was unlocked in the time it took me to read through this thread.
