When I tell my clock to navigate to a place, it finds the right place and then loads for a while until it says "Sorry, that didn't work".
In my Android Wear app navigation is greyed out and it's not possible to select an app for it. Shouldn't Google Maps be selectable? I have tried to resync the apps several times without any change.
What could be wrong?

Yes, this is what I'm doing and it is taking me straight to Google Nav Beta...I want to use Navigon instead because it don't want to use data...you know how expensive the powers to be made data these days, and I travel alot for work...
On my xoom, it is exactly as you said and it will pop up an option to select the nav software.
I never set defaults on my Evo 3d so I don't know how to reverse it or anything...help?!
EDIT: Thanks for your reply though, appreciate it.
Try clearing google maps and/or google nav defaults in the android settings. This should allow you to select an option when you follow t3project's suggestion.

Very late answer, but I created an app to do just that: semperNavLinks (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.semperpax.sempernavlinks)

Could you tell me which device/android version you are using, please?
Did you get (about) the same dialogs as in the screenshots of Google Play?
So, when you selected "Car navigation" (or whatever it is in the english version), you are brought directly to Goggle Nav, right?

Hello, I have a Htc One X jelly bean, and I'm french, so do you?
It works sometimes when I set an itinary and click on the navigation button on the bottom, but most of the time it says to me that your application has crashed, and it brings me directly to ggogle nav when i click on the navigation option directly from the "Maps" menu.

Did you submit a report when the crashes occur? I don't see one...
I'm not sure what you mean by "the navigation option directly from the "Maps" menu", but anyway a destination must be selected, because it's the destination which is passed on to Navigon.
P.S. Je suis bruxellois

hi,
I will submit a report next time it will crash, but for the moment it works fine.
I was speeking about "navigation" shortcut in the main menu of Maps, it would be cool if I could have a navigon one, but it's already fine for me

Cool. As soon as I get a report, I'll be able to debug the crashes.
Don't hesitate to leave an honest evaluation on Play
I did a trip and used google maps for the whole trip and i noticed that im no longer getting notifications for directions. When i check the wear app where you can select which app to launch for directions etc it appears blank and i can't seem to select google maps. Ive reset the watch, reinstalled the app including google maps on my phone and nothing seems to work. Any help?
I think it's the new version of wear.
Same issue here.
Google Wear is a mess if you ask me. Nothing works properly.
Hello Guys, i have a little problem, how can i force android to open map links directly with google Map app and not Navigation on Gingerbread 2.3.6. I'm using the app Urban Ninja and when i click on a adress link he always opens with Navigation app and not Map app, anyone has an idea how to change this? Thank you very much
Go to Settings / Applications and find the Navigation app in the All tab and hit Clear Defaults and then go click on a link again. It should ask you which app to open in.

Thank you very much for your reply. I din't know why, but Navigation doesn't seem to be a standalone app, i can't find it in the apps list, i can neither set the default or even delete that app. Any ideas?
Just realized what exactly you were talking about... It has been so long since I used Gingerbread, I had forgotten that back in it's hey day, Google Maps had 2 separate components and the Navigation app (blue upside triangle type icon) is actually part of Maps. You should be able to update Maps through the Play Store to the newer version where it is all in one.

Half the time I say "OK Google navigate home" instead of actually doing that, it will just open a card for the Maps app. Anyone else getting this?
Make sure you actually have the Maps app installed on your watch and that is has any permissions needed. To do this swipe over to the app list on your watch and scroll down to try and find the Maps app. If it says "needs permissions" touch it. If it's not there, you may need to one or more of these steps:
1. Uninstall Maps on your phone and reinstall it, wait for it to download to your watch
2. Resync your apps to your watch via the Android Wear app on your phone.
3. Factory reset your watch.
Edit: also, before you try those steps, you may try going into the Actions section of the Android Wear phone app and see if you can set Maps as the Navigate action.

Yes, I have the same problem
Ok, I've found the problem. The solution:
1. Find Maps app on the watch
2. Click it and agree to sync it (it was not synced in my case).
3. After that voice control started to work.
I install Google Map in Remix OS 2.0 on my desktop, but it cannot show the location and the app hang. ...
Please help.
Lawrence
Same problem here. I guess we need to wait for the next OS release to get this fixed. By the way, Google earth and Sygic are working.
Best, maris
I have exatly the same problems. Google Maps and any apps using Google Maps don't work. The problem is probably as Remix doesn't recognize properly location.

Sorry to hear about that. Do you have any other google apps installed? Go to settings and applications. Select google play store. Delete data. Open chrome and type in the search field "google play services", should take you to the google play store and it should update google play services. Install the "google" app and make sure the cards are working (to make sure play services is working correctly). Go back to settings and then put location settings on "high accuracy". Make sure google maps is set on full screen. Then launch google maps.
Nothing help. Google Services can't be updated as it's ... updated to the latest version. Apk Google works with some little problems but it works. Maps are in full screen - doesn't help. Cashe cleaned - same, nothing. Maybe next Remix version will change it.
Sampe problem here, it's cannot load the map
Google maps cannot detect your location as you are using desktop and it does not have a gps or and google maps search for gps and gets crashed because theres no gps so eighter remix os have to disable gps but it cant because some devices have gps
Same problem here Laptops do not have a GPS. I have set the location services to Network WIFI only and still cant find my location. Google maps crashed and all other apps that use location will not give me my location.
