App suddenly looks completely different on Samsung Note 5, with a blue cloud background and has "Discover popular watch apps" as the only option. Selecting the upper right menu offers "connect", which does absolutely nothing, "help & feedback and about". I believe this changed after a Samsung system update two days ago. I have two Moto's, both now disconnected.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and the app is working as it should and looks normal. What update are we talking about? Can you pls show some Screenshots of your AndroidWear App? Did you try to reinstall AndroidWear app? Maybe this solves your problem.

Thanks for the reply, Faye. There was a Samsung (or Verizon) system update last week - the nagging kind you can't keep ignoring. Afterwards the AndroidWear app was very strange. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and things look normal now. I know they're talking about a 2.0 AW update in the fall, and I was afraid of an interim without it! It looks like I was over-reacting prematurely.

I have now the second device. The fist had screen backlight issues, which are better now, but not completely solved.
But the new device has the issue now that certain apps crash immediately after starting them. Sometime one needs to open them 10 times, before they get stable.
This happens also, if one reboots the machine and the first app after the restart crashes directly.
This affects not all apps, but Instagram, Google+, Facebook are such candidates which crash frequently.
Other apps like Chrome had never failed so far.
The report, which can be send to Google show signals like 6 or 11 are the cause for the crash.
Is this the known Lollipop 5.0.x RAM bug?
But after rebooting and 32GB RAM, there should be plenty of memory?
I also made a factory reset and installed only some apps, but it did not get better, the crash orgy goes on.
Did anyone else observed such behavior?

No worries, I'm also German.
I returned the second device yesterday. The guy from the retail store told me not to try a third one.
I should wait for the second charge of the production line. He confirmed other returns of the tablet in his store.
Very sad, the device would be great in theory, but it has to many teething troubles at the moment.
So I will go with my nearly dead Nexus 7 and stay tuned, maybe an other vendor brings a stunning item or I change to the dark side and buy an iPad :crying:

Went from Note 3 4.42 KitKat to LG G4(LGH815P) 5.1 and Alt-tab/Last App type app switching is broken on many apps(including Tapatalk) , it'll switch between the apps but the app will startup again from scratch and not where I last left it a few seconds before, if I use the default G4 running task list it seems to work as expected.
I used the Alt-tab feature heavily in KitKat, I set it to a swipe and could switch instantly between 2 apps, very helpful function. I've tried a few apps: All in one gestures(alt tab option even removed when installed on 5.1), Swift Open, some other app and all the same result.
Anyone else experienced this, any work around possible?
Unfortunately I can't root the G4 so that's not an option

Hi guys, can anyone tell me how can I fix this situation, because when I'm using my Nexus 9 most of the times when I minimize an app and open other, most of the time the app that I minimize will restart.
Did a factory defaults and options in developper seem to be ok, no restritctions regarding apps on backgroung.
Usually I play Star wars Galaxy of heroes, and if I change to discord (chat app) when I return it restarts my game
I also noticed that Ram availability is low, and I did a factory default 2 days ago, only installed the game and discord, nothing else.
Any suggestion?? Should I Root and Install a new ROM, if so what would you recommend?
I would prefer to Keep the actual OS if there's a fix for it

I can't help but wonder if this is similar to what mine does. The apps in the recent display disappear -not all of them but definitely 50%. This does not happen on my N5X. I can't say when it started but at least 4 months ago.

Hi, the apps don't disappear, the tabs are there, they simply restart when I select them instead of just changing back to the previously running app.
It's kind of annoying when I'm on the middle of a game and want to check out something else, if I switch to chrome or other app there is a big risk that the game will restart and I will lost any progression made...same happens with other apps.
After updating to latest Android Wear app for my phone, the app just shows a blank screen with the usual cloud background -- no watch face options, etc. It shows the watch as connected, but I can't get to any of the settings. Same thing after rebooting both the phone and watch, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. When I use Titanium Backup to restore the previous version everything is fine again. Anyone else encountering this?

Well, hmmm....I wonder what my deal is? I've tried it quite a few times and no dice. I guess I'll just keep using the old version and wait to see if another update fixes it. I had to do this once before when the watch was running Wear v1.5, too. I'm pretty sure the update is mostly cosmetic anyway, so I doubt I'm missing much. Thanks for the responses!

I factory reset the watch and paired/set everything up all over again and now it's working. A few other things are actually working better, so apparently something was messed up even though the problem with the AW app was the only thing I noticed. Setting up the watch all over again isn't that difficult to do with Wear 2.0.
So, my tablet updated to UI 3.1 but now anytime iI try to open a folder on the home screen, with it be a folder of normal downloaded apps or side loaded apps, it crashes the launcher. Luckily I have Nova Launcher on here as well and that opens and runs fine with no crashes. Has anyone else seen this or am I the odd man out?
I had this last night, attaching files to Gmail or one drive crashed the files app.
You need to go to settings, apps, files, press the three dots at the top right then uninstall updates.
Sadly the app will likely update at some point so if it happens again you'll need to redo this, hopefully a system update fixes the issue.
As for nova launcher, I have been using the tablet for two days now and I have noticed that it drains battery and uses quite a lot of system resources, default ui doesn't have these issues.

Hi there Johnnio and thanks for your info sharing. I had the very same problem with my S7+: couldn't attach any file in emails or similar. I followed your advice, unistalled to previous version and now it works! What was it anyways? I'm now in android 11 since some days but with android 10 everything was just fine.
By the way, since I'm here I take advantage to ask you another thing. In android 10, while moving up the 'recent apps' line on the left I could scroll the apps holding them with my finger. Now with android 11 I cannot anymore. If I move up the recent app line I see the apps there but cannot scroll them. Im' I missing something or it is an 'improvement' (?) of the new os?

Hi there, I'm guessing that the update to Android version 11 has introduced a few bugs, I expect that the files app issue will be resolved with a future update.
As for your question, I unfortunately think that this is simply a change in the new android version, there may be a setting some where to change the behaviour but unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything relevant.

You have been of great help indeed! I have been struggling to solve the app file for hours and in several forum included the Samsung members one. You have been the man!
As for the recent application scrolling I'm afraid it is a choice of the designers. In fact I have a Samsung phone with android 10. The phone settings for the recent app feature are identical only it allows the scrolling while the S7+ ain't.
Will see what's comes in the next update.
Is there a way to mention this to Samsung so to ask to get it back?
