Hello,
is there any chance to get security updates for the P9000 ??
Or are you stuck with Elephone update strategy?
My thoughts are these:
I would like to use this phone for (lets say) the next 2 years. Is there any chance to get, at least, security updates? Or is it possible with a custom ROM (to build these in)?
Switching to Android, so this is why i'm asking.
Best regards.

Hi Everyone,
Newbie here! I just want to know if anyone knows if there will be a release of marshmallow update for j200gu. Last January, this device was included as one of those that would be updated to marshmallow. However, it's almost year end but still no Marshmallow update. All I get is security updates. Anyway, does anyone here knows if google made this for J2?
Thanks
Still no news from the provider about this. There were some updates but not a full version upgrade
Hey everyone. I'm an owner of Honor 10. I used to have Android Pie on my device already, but for now, I'm working on the Oreo again and temporarely blocked offcial updates.
I have a question - do you also miss downgrade option in HiSuite? When I was operating on... 9.0.0.162 I guess, option was nowhere to be seen. When I received update to 179, I checked Hisuite and downgrade option was brought back. I reverted to Oreo instantly, because I was not happy with the way Pie is working.
At the moment, I'm using 8.1.0.159 with little bit late security patches. But I guess, that's the price for great running OS.
If I'm ever going to try Pie again, I need to be sure, I can easily go back to older system, in case something will be wrong. How is it with you?
Best regards
same here, call recording is a must
For now, I'll just stick to Oreo. If something will change here, please let me know.
Thanks!
I am facing an issue since I bought this device galaxy s8 exynos. I didn't get a single update not even a security patch no software update.
Please can anyone help me I tried many ways but not working. Please I am still living in android Oreo
@Reshinrrj
OEM/Carrier never provide upgrades, but only updates and this only if they consider it necessary. If you want to upgrade then you must flash a Custom ROM of your choice.
But every other s8 users got the 9.0 update and security patch except my device is there any way
Hi Team, I was living under a rock and have been on android 9 for last 2 years now wanted to upgrade to Android 11.
Is it possible to skip android 10?
I have update the TWRP to latest version any other things to mind, I would still wanna remain with pixel exp +
Thanks for the help.

Hi, it depends on which device you have. As you know Android does not support updates very long for certain devices. So, first check if your device still can receive updates from Android and if not, see if you can update to Android 10, which is much better than 9. Kind regards kuzibri

I am using Poco F1. No official updates and I dont like miui. Please advise if I can flash android 11 on top of android 9? Same rom pixel exp
I think yes, you can flash directly the latest PE. See HERE and HERE. Clean flash, with formatting (not only wiping) several partitions is a must.
When does root and trwp work on gt2pro?
Unlock bootloader is not a problem anymore....
So where are the roms, root guides etc??
Why? Why don't you make at least one of what you ask ?
I can't. I'm not a developer...
But since all works now, I wonder why nobody release linageos etc etc ....
I've rooted gt2 pro. It's not a big deal. What's the problem?

Where should I start..
- Because Kernel was only released open-source recently, and still there are a lot of grey areas.
- Realme has not released a free flashing tool to fix hard-bricks. The current MSM tool not only requires you to pay someone every time you use it, but also does not have a proper documentation.
- In addition, the MSM tool does funny things sometimes as some users reported, like screwing up persist partition or the lock/unlock BL mechanism, and nobody knows why.
- There are concerns regarding security since the use of fingerprints is becoming popular and apps like banking keep improving root detection mechanisms. Many people prefer to keep their phone with locked bootloader non-root for security reasons.
- The official stream of OS updates for GT2 Pro will be maintained for approx. next 2 years, and Realme seems to be putting effort to make improvements.
- Most of the custom ROM patches/fixes/improvements can be applied manually.
My guess is that once Realme shifts their support to other phones, there will be a need to maintain the OS by the community.
Thx for the answer
I hope there will be any chance to become some stuff next week's/month bc i need a new phone and i don't want a x50pro...
