Anyone options?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
Give us more details. Which M4? Is your bootloader locked or unlocked? Did you download the proper firmware for flashing? Did you flashed something earlier, and now it's stuck on logo? Did you tried to do a Software repair through Sony PC Companion?

I saw on the phone screen update, push download it, then install, phone restarts and start install updates and suddenly it turns off. Now when I try turn it on just lightly blinks notification light.
I tried flash it with "flashtool" frimware "ST18_4.0.A.2.368_GENERIC_(1248-9545).ftf" and "ST18_4.0.A.2.368_GENERIC_(1248-9545).ftf" and "ST18i_4.0.1.A.0.283_(1252-5332 ).ftf". All processes completed without errors, but telephone still dead.
Also I tried repair frimware with sony ericsson update service, but when phone is already connected and repair must start sony ericsson update service shows error " The phone contains modified software that cannot be updated".
Please help me. What can I do?
Sorry for my English.
You had unlocked bootloader? If yes try flash this: http://www.mediafire.com/?h2dwrz18mujx765
and after that install any ROM or use WotanServer.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324707
..............................edit
I tryed unlock boot loader (it fails), then flash "Xperia 2011 Range_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf" (it compleeted), then flash all frimwares i have (all fails).
Finally I trye fix phone by sony ericsson update center and that fix it!
If I good understanding with official frimware I can't root my phone, but however, I am happy.
For root search easy root in xperia arc forum. It works with unlocked and non unlocked bootloaders for any firmware

Thank you, I tried and it works, now my phone is rooted .
i tried and it is working very nicely thankzzz a lot
I have unlocked my bootloader on my phone. And I tried using the Update Service and PC Companion to update my phone. Yes I realise that unlocking the bootloader will give you problems with FOTA, blah blah blah, and I was being stupid and took Update Service and PC Companion as being wrong and I updated the phone with the Update app on it, it rebooted normally on the first step for a few seconds then it suddenly shut off, then when I tried to turn it back on, it vibrated. It just did that. No boot screen, just a black screen. EDIT: And I found out that the bootloader is still intact by putting it into flashmode and that it might have a corrupted operating system.
have you try this .....

Thanks for information k1ddyt3ch, because a mistake I did OTA upgrade to my rooted SK17i, then the hell trying to recover it. Your post was useful for me.
Regards!
It happened to me too but I updated through sony ericsson update service.
I've made a mistake when i locked bootloader while I had inside the phone the repack stock rom that requirs the unlocked bootloader. Now phone doesn't turn on and pc companion doesn't work because when I tray to repair firmware it says that it isn't ready for the installation, try later. I try to unlock again the bootloader with flash tool but the program stops at the words "please attach a turned off phone now". What can I do?

The point is, you shouldn't relock if you use test point method. If you relock with some other flashable kernel or some sort, than obviously you made a mistake. Try to flash the ftf from any of the ftf of stock rom available here (sorry i'll post a link after I get into my computer). You can search for it down in this forum.

Removing the phone during flashing may result in hardbrick. But if your phone's bootloader is locked try repairing it with seus or pcc. Btw can it go to flashmode or fastboot mode?

Can you use flashtool and go with phone into flashmode?
Remove battery from phone for 2-3 min. And after put battery back try flash any .ftf for your phone.
The Sony Update Service:
download sony update serivce (SUS) from here: SUS
install it, and follow instructions.
Hello guys,
I am on a trip to the UK. During the flight the phone was working fine. Turned it off during the landing and tried to turn it on when the plane landed. But it won't turn on. It's stuck on the Sony logo. The phone was rooted with locked bootloader. I managed to get into the CWM and backup and even made a fresh install of the ROM (zelly cream) I could use the aroma installer, the touchscreen wouldn't work though. PC companion recognises the phone, says there no update. I used flashtool several times. Everything installs correctly but still stuck on sony logo. Please help me. I am stuck with no phone on my trip.

Re: Ray stuck on Sony Logo.. Please help I am in a trip abroad!
Looks like a legit hard brick
sony xperia ray
ics 4.0.4 rooted
stock rom
It looks like a hardbrick, but if you're still under warranty then flash a stock firmware and send it to sony service center. Should be fine with locked bootloader

The phone's out of warranty.
I went to a shop that repairs phones, they sent it back in 3 days saying it can't be fixed. Now what? I have an expensive paperweight? It's not heavy enough for that either.
weird,I got stuck in sony logo more than 10 times.and repair it with flashtool did you follow the guide correctly?

Only solution I found
I had almost a similar problem. I had installed the same rom to my xperia ray and tried to update it with different selections in aroma installer. The result was the phone stuck at the sony logo.
I tried PC companion and it recognised a sony phone but not a ray.
I tried seus, this detected correctly xperia ray, but it replied that there is no update for my phone.
I tried flashtool but it could not recognize my phone and any way I didn't have any thing to flash my ray. (I installed the drivers from the subdirectory)
So I tryied something I've used a year ago: Wotan server. I paid about $2 to get a license and after executing the steps of the tool, I finally had my phone back.
I know that I'm not an expert on the field, and maybe there are other free of charge ways to do the work, but this worked for my phone and this was the second time.
PS. After the procedure I updated my phone using SEUS and this time I kept the stock ICS files and converted them to ftf files
I think the internal memory chip is faulty or something. Or it wouldn't even boot in the first place?
Flashing a stock kernel with flashtool usually does the job for men when that happens...

Guys please help me
Guys please help me. I rooted, unlocked bootloaders and unbricked android phones many times before but I just don't know what to do now. I tried flashing with flashtool 10000 times, everything goes ok but the phone won't go past the sony logo. I tried removing the battery for days. I tried charging for days. I even tried unlocking the bootloader and installing custom kernels. No luck. SEUS said there's no update even though I flashed an old firmware and after unloacking the BL says the phone has modified firmware that cannot be modified , EMMA says no available services. The only thing I didn't try is the test points method but why would I?
Anyone has any idea what's going on? I don't have the money for another phone right now
Anyone??

Then read through the thread or Google. There is enough information on how to restore your Phone in this thread alone, never mind the rest of the forum or numerous threads that have been started in the last few months.

The phone was rooted with a custom ROM (Zelly Cream 2.0). The rom was flashed weeks before that happened. I was on the plane playing games on the phone. Turned it off for landing. Tried turning it on after the plane landed and it was stuck on the sony logo. I could get into the CWM and used the Aroma installer using the keys as the touchscreen would not work.
