My headphones arent working well. Anyone else experience problems with the headphone jack?

Known issue. Some people were able to remove lint but other have a problem. It usually occures with headphones that have a microphone for calls. The headphones male piece is a bit to long for the Jack. Just try different headphones that have a mic or use plain headphones without a mic.

Earphone jack

I just got a U20A from ebay (64$) and i tried putting in my skullcandy earbuds with a mic and the phone didn't recognize them and kept on using the speaker... And with headphones with no mic only the left ear worked....
Is it a problem of my U20A or are they all like that? And is there anything i can do about it?

Headphone Volume?

Anyone know how I can raise the headphone volume on a rooted Ultra? Used to use voodoo on the note 2 but it's only made for the Samsung. Thank You!

No root required, just enable xloud on sound enhancement.

For both internal speakers and headphone too. When you activate xloud plug your headphone then increase the sound you'll get a warning telling that if you increase further it might damage your ears. That's where xloud is.

I get no sound boost..maybe it works better in 510. Hopefully a future rom will address this. Note 2 rom it was the best feature for me...it's not just the Ultra all smartphones are kept low...something about eardrums....lol!! Again this is for headphones only....I would never think about playing music from speaker...

[Q] Xperia z2 headphone sound

I am eager to know that is Xperia z2 sound volume in headphones is higher than iPhone 5 or iPhone 5s
I cant understand why people are so obsessed about max volume, never in my life had i needed to use full volume with headphones, i would have gone deaf! :0 Answering your question i doubt it, since z2 is pretty average when it comes to volume levels.

I work in a loud factory and I cannot hear anything but music with the headset. The volume level.being average is an issue with loudspeakers not headset.

The volume ain't spectacular, but with the noise cancelling headphones, it sounds better than the iPhone 5/5s

well it is about the same as my Galaxy S2 which is not impressing.
But on my S2 I was always enhancing it by several db with different KErnels/Roms (Stweaks). Currently the Roms and Kernels for Z2 already offer enhanced audio power.
The house earphones should really help.
Also if you root and use doom lord kernel you can set volume levels higher.

Didn't compare it to the IPhone, but the sound is definitely louder and clearer than on Sony Xperia P. Hope it helps

Poor headphone volume

Has anyone figured out a way to pump up the headphone volume? It's really the only issue I have with this tablet.
