My friend accidentally broke his MOTO E's display.
Unfortunately in India it's not covered under Warranty.
So took it to the Authorized Service Center and have to pay Rs. 2000 for a new Screen.
The whole process took less than ½hour.
Have you given it to Flipkart or Local Service ??

what do you think by "Authorized service center" ?
It's not covered in warranty? What do you mean by that? It comes with 1 year warranty, no?

I have given it to local Motorola service center as the screen was broken by user(My friend).
Which the warranty doesn't cover.

When i went to the service center the attendant told me that they will have to change the front panel of the phone (which includes display, touch and front glass).
He charged me Rs. 2000 for the front panel and no service charge as the phone is in warranty.
The address of the service center is- Novelty Plaza, Bareilly, U.P. India
Tell me if you want any other assistance.
thank you

Hello everyone,
I have received my OnePlus 2 today - it is the Chinese version of the handset with Oxygen OS 2.0 installed (with no bloatware). I thought I would post this in-case it is helpful to anyone, I can confirm the following:
4G/LTE work fine on EE
Dual SIM works fine - I can both make and receive from the two SIM cards - however I cannot see the phone number of the SIM in slot two (probably because the phone only has 1 IMEI I suspect - but this does not stop me making or receiving calls on the SIM in slot two)
I will continue testing things but so far so good, very happy.
EE is great for FDD-LTE phones from China. I've had loads work fine, including my old Chinese OnePlus One.
Interesting re. dual SIMs working - good news for importers. Out of interest, do you have two IMEIs on the inside back (my International variant does)?

I have just checked and I only have one IMEI listed on the inside back - the writing around the label is also in Chinese which is to be expected I guess.

Yep, makes sense.

I'm using three UK with a Chinese version OPT. LTE works however when signal falls down to 3G, the possibility is that it will not revert to 4G unless you reboot. very annoying. probably a baseband issue
I also have a chinese one from merimobile but mine came preloaded with a whole load of malware. An Oxygen rom of some kind with the usual chinese 3 "browser" icons and lots of "your phone is running slowly" notifications....
I flashed the Oxygen rom that is easy to find, gives Oxygen 2.0.0 and no malware that I can find, but it does have actionbar issues - both K9-mail and Up crash on startup with logcat lines similar to this :
AndroidRuntime( 1843): Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'void android.app.ActionBar.setDisplayShowCustomEnabled(boolean)' on a null object reference

I had similar problems. If you have enabled Dark mode under Customization then try turning it off. That fixed a lot of issues for me.

That's an issue for most of 1+2 I think. A fix in on the way, and you know how fast OnePlus is on giving updates (sarcastic)

Sorry to sound potentially dumb, but where are people buying the chinses OP2's from? I would rather an uk version, but may consider one as i'm about 1 millionth in the queue ha!

Thanks
But in case of Aliexpress try to find the seller with strong reputation and some fast delievery (like DHL or EMS) or you can wait for ages (many of them do not have the phone on hand and can tell you long stories why you should wait). And before payment contact the seller and ask the question about avaliabilty and when he can sent the phone to you.

How long did it take to arrive? Tempting!!
I guess they are just importing them in bulk from China? Still loving it?
It took a week to arrive via DPD - it came with a converter plug, screen protector and case for free too. I really do love the handset, it has worked out quite well for me having confirmed dual SIM functionality does work and I get LTE on EE.

Excellent! That's not too bad at all then. I'm on Three and need to check their LTE frequencies, to see whether I can get it. That could be a deal breaker for a chinese version for me. I love my LTE.

You should be fine with Three, if you get either the EU/Asia variant or the Chinese. The EU/Asia variant would be better as it can access both bands that Three use for 4G are 3 (1800Mhz) and 20 (800Mhz).

For the label and listing doesn't have to be always right! The call thing is just to be sure ... Works on almost every mobile phone with a few exceptions.

Honestly, you're better off just buying a new phone. Logic boards are usually $100 and over and it's not guaranteed that the board won't have issues.
You can try looking on eBay though.

I bought a secondhand g3 with a broken screen for 35 euros. Switched motherboard and everything was working again. So maybe this is an option.

Where did you buy it?
I did the same, bought a lg g3 with a broken screen, from a local ad site. Switched motherboards and everything was fine until I tried to make a call as it losses the network and does not allow me to make or receive calls. Oddly enough I have 4g data and everything else works.
When I switch network to only 2G or only 3G the phone losses the network and I have no data. If I put "automatically switch between 2G, 3G, 4G" I have 4G data can not make or receive calls.
I installed xposed and imei changer thinking that I had bought a stolen phone, changed the imei number and still no network.
If anybody could help I´d be grateful.

Hi Fluffier,
I have same issue as you: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/brutal-signal-attenuation-d855-t3586931
It must be motherboard. Sorry...
In addition this easter days it added bootloop to the list of failures... (It only works connected with a 2A adapter + only LTE and Wifi).
After some deliberation I've just bought a V20 on china.

I had to do almost this same thing. I bought working phone with cracked screen and I replaced my mainboard (with no signal issue) with 'new' one. On stock (directly from kdz) I got message from system that there is a problem with mcc number. Exactly the same as this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57630582&postcount=443.
Apart from this, everything works great and I really recommend that method as a second life to any phone

Yes, definitely yes. If you do it, your phone will not be us990 anymore. It will be d855
All you have to remember is you could receive this same warning as I mentioned in previous post, but it shouldn't pop-up in any moded ROM.
For 100% it is not active in Fulmcs 6.9 and any Nougat ROMs.

If you bought main board for d855 you should flash kdz for d855, not anything different.
I did nott buy the d855,,i unbricked my us990. It is now in download mode..not letting me flash us990 kdz. It stops at 2%
Hmm, I bricked mine a few times - it's really easy with this phone and for no reason. I tried different flash programs/DLL versions, then the COM ports switched on me and it was also very dependent on the USB port on the computer - change things around. Eventually it should work. And then if you have it open there's also the Qualcomm recovery where you can go into a download mode and directly load the extracted binaries from the tot file. That worked no problem on mine on first try. I didn't even flash the whole thing - like data and system, just whatever it needed to boot - the small partitions I suspected of being corrupted.
Here's the guide:

In 2020, it's worth it !
Hi everyone, quick update on 2020, regarding whether or not it's worth buying a new Lg G3 motherboard :
For the context, I received my phone from a friend of mine, which change phones in the mean time because of its battery issues, but changing the battery solved everything. At some point, last year, my G3 dropped into the sea -_-') but I did not want to part with it and I had to to change most of the components.
I managed to get first a new motherboard, then a new back camera, a new prebuilt LCD + touchscreen frame, a new jack plug (being broken by default), a new camera lens, a new flex cable for the buttons and a new antenna for less than 65$ on AliExpress (mind you, the D855 2GB/32GB motherboard was 28.63$ and the screen was 20.99$)
Honestly, my only complaint is the amount of memory (2GB in a little on the light side) but this phone is awesome ! It's super cheap and easy to repair, and I actually bought spares for a later time. If you have a dead G3 at home, I think it's worth repairing it
Hi, I found my old G3 and wanna try to revive it. I was wondering if chinese motherboards are reliable. I read about someone saying that IMEI on those motherboards is overwrited to look like other models, basically a "frankenstein" motherboard. Can you give me your feedback. Thanks
Hey,
I have a big problem with my LG G5 H850. Google Pay or other mobile payment solutions via NFC don't work.
There is not even an error message at the payment terminal, the mobile phone is not even recognized as a virtual card.
Even if I hold a second mobile phone to my LG G5 and start an app to read NFC tags, nothing is recognized.
Generally NFC works on my G5, other NFC tags or cards I can read with it.
I'm currently using Oreo, I've already done a factory reset. I also tried all NFC and Tap&Pay settings.
Do you have any ideas what else I could try?
My next idea would be to buy a new phone
Are you running an aftermarket battery? I remember the extended battery on my Samsung s4 didn't support NFC

I think no. I bought a new battery, but it seems genuine. And the battery has only 3 contacts, so i dont think it has the NFC antenna included.
Which brand is it? You said it's genuine. Meaning it's the yellow oem one?

Yeah.
But as far as I know, the G5 didn't has build in the antenna in the battery. And anyway, NFC works, but not with payments.
Doesn't anyone have an idea? I really don't have an idea anymore, the only possibility I see is to buy a new phone.
Has anyone been able to find a replacement SIM tray for the 6T? I have the Tmo version and am looking to get the international tray so I don't have to hack mine up. Any leads would be appreciated!!

Have you already tried asking Oneplus customer service? That's how I got mine. Some people have had luck with that and some have not so YMMV. Otherwise you can try cutting up the existing or use the closely fitting Oneplus 6 dual sim tray.

There's plenty for the OnePlus 6 on eBay US,but,I'm not seeing one listing for the OnePlus 6T,as of 12/8/18 (perhaps in some other markets around the globe?).
While the OP6 Dual-SIM Tray works on the OnePlus 6T,it's not a perfect fit.
If you have a link for the OnePlus 6T Dual-SIM Tray, there's a lot of us here who would be extremely grateful if you could post it.

Yeah, that's where most of us end up.
I let it go after about 4-5 back & forths, but, their robo follow-up persisted,so,I started nagging them again, just for the hell of it.
I could tell they were growing tired of it & I brought up the robo follow-up as my reason for continuing the dialogue.
I haven't heard from a CSR in over a week now,whether it's a live/breathing script reader,or,the robo variety & nothing.
I have the OP6 tray,it's working fine,I'll patiently wait until the OP6T Dual trays hit the market.

already found out how to get a replacement dual sim tray
just need to ask someone with an int. 6t for their imei to give to customer service rep and they can "verify" you have a dual sim or single sim
one you give them the imei they will send a replacement tray
anyone care to share their imei to help me outttttt would gladly appreciate it

I didn't think to worry if it was glossy or matte. Just ordered from this seller. Thanks.
I had luck on ebay. I believe the one i received was for oneplus 6 instead of 6t and the edge where the sim button sits was just a bit longer than the slot on the device. I used a nail file to sand it down a little and it sits in my phone flawlessly now. Currently running dual sims, OOS Beta 14.
