[Q] Where did/will you purchase your SGSII?

I'm in Australia, I just spent a while researching this for the Australian SGSII thread here, but I want to get others opinions too...
Where to buy it?
Here is what I found:
Unlocked Mobiles £435 $663
Handtec £456 $695
Clove £464 $707
Expansys $720
Mobiciti$914
Smooth Mobiles $924
(Australian Dollars, including shipping -cheapest option)
Have I missed out on a site?
Is there any reason why I wouldn't want to buy it for the cheapest price?
Is there any reason you didn't buy it from the cheapest price?
I plan to use it on Telstra's NextG network.
Am I correct in assuming whichever store I buy it from, it will by with the Exynos and SAMOLED+?
Anything else that might influence someone's decision to purchase?
Thanks.
Amando
I bought on amazon uk for £499
On handtec and unlocked mobiles, the price was more like around £499 (at the time of posting). On handtec, it is not in stock right now.
At least, on amazon, apart from being a reliable seller, your vat is ajusted to the country you live in (for me, it was interesting), the return is easy if necessary.
Those prices are with no VAT, which is what you get if you buy them fom Australia. Not sure about other countries.
I've never used Amazon before, I've always found it troublesome buying from Australia.
It's like they don't want you to use it if you live in Australia.
I am getting ABSOLUTELY screwed around by Expansys! Only went with them because they were cheaper when they had their pre-order price & I could get 6% cashback via quid-co. They're just absolutely ignoring every email I send them & I can't call them because it's too expensive & the time difference is all out of whack.
Will cancel & buy from Handtec.co.uk.
Why Handtec and not the cheapest option?
i paid £529 for my set from phones 4 u(bought on 27th). gutted to see so many games incompatible/unoptimized with mali400.
£399 on o2 payasyougo plus £15 for unlock all in

Where is the best place to buy a GSII?

I know the US model is coming out VERY soon but I really want to get this phone. Right now I am an infuse owner and was looking to just buy this outright since I used my upgrade on the infuse a couple months ago. Where do you guy recommend me ordering one? Or the one that seems to be the most reliable? I was looking at amazon and a few other site but just cant decide. Thanks in advance!
Amazon. Nowhere will you get a warranty (aside from Expansys USA which offers mail in warranty back to the UK).
Plus with Amazon, my box was sealed and I got a Brazilian model that's one of the first to get 2.3.4.

Was that ordered directly from amazon, or from a 3rd party store fulfilled by amazon?
Also, they have used-like new galaxy s2 for $629.99, that qualifies for SquareTrade.

Directly from Amazon (i.e. "ships from and sold by Amazon.com"). I'm not fond of resellers for unlocked phones. I once ordered a Nexus S I9020A (for AT&T's network) from a reseller on Amazon. Sure enough, I received an I9023 (European model - not compatible with AT&T). I promptly returned it. I just trust Amazon direct and don't like rolling the dice with 3rd part sellers.
Careful on the open box...I ordered an open box SGSII from Amazon and received a friggin Verizon phone (used and beat up). Some jerkoff stole the SGSII and returned the box with a Verizon phone in it. See my photo on the product listing.
I have never ever had any issues with Warehouse deals (open box) items from Amazon, but got burned pretty bad with that one. The good news is Amazon kindly credited my account for the return and even gave me a $50 credit, making a brand new SGSII the same price. Can't ask for more than that.
I bought my gs2 from Popular Electronics, who is based in Chicago. I live in Canada. Interesting experience with these guys. They have their store warranty, which is useful. I'm not sure how long that warranty is for. They ship free to the US too. Right now, the phone is cheaper than the one on Amazon. Plus, they have a "Low price guarantee" and will match any other prices anyway.
I'm from Canada. My first phone gs2 (brand new, fully sealed with seal sticker) was defected (hardware, touch screen didn't work lol). I called them and they gladly helped me with a replacement phone. I had to pay to ship it to them though 2nd phone, another hardware defect (line of dead pixels). Once again, it was brand new and fully sealed. They couldn't believe that of all the customers they've sold the gs2 to, I was the unlucky one to have 2 faulty phones. They took that one back too and sent me my current gs2 which runs perfectly smooth. If you call them, ask for Tahal (possibly spelled as Taha) He is the man!

If you mean this photo: (http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-m...TBQ2C/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_0?ie=UTF8&index=0) I've seen it. With the difference of ~$30 or so, I think it is worth the risk...

Yep, that is my photo. Imagine how pissed I was when I got home, ripped the box open only to discover that...
As usual, Amazon made it right. It does piss me off that someone swapped it and made off with a SGSII. They probably paid like $100 on craigslist for that Verizon junk. Punk.

Where i can buy one?

Where i can buy online one of them (Gtablet)?
I didn't find any..
Amazon.com is showing them in stock and ready to ship for $260.
I got mine at Tiger Direct for $249. It was here in two days.

[Q] [US] Where is the best place to get the Nexus 9?

Do you think I'll get it faster if I get it on Google Play instead of Amazon?
Not sure to be honest. But if you are paying $9.99 from play store Amazon in the other hand will upgrade your delivery for that price, so i guess Amazon would be quicker.
I paid £3.33 for first class delivery shipping 1 to 2 days latest ETA 5th November.
I paid 3.99 for overnight shipping from amazon so you can't beat that.
buy from amazon if you want to get it a bit faster, but any warranty exchanges/rma will go through htc for any third party purchase.
Purchasing from google play means that google will handle alll warranty claims/rma. They will 2 day ship the NEW device, and you ship back the defective device back to google.

I second this-- I fully expect Amazon to be faster, however I had such a great experience with Google customer support for my N5 that the additional shipping charges/potential wait time are worth it to me.
In case you're curious: In September, Google started offering free, no questions asked replacements for N5 owners. I had about two weeks left of the one year warranty by the time I heard about it, and they took back my cracked N5 with zero hassle. I received the replacement overnight, and they released the hold on my credit card the day after I shipped back the broken device. This courtesy replacement service was ONLY available to play store customers.

+1. The same reason I went with Google. Their customer service can't be beat. If you don't go with Google you'll probably have to deal with HTC for warranty. That was the scenario with the n5
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Ya my n7 I bought at staples had problems and it was a nightmare dealing Asus directly. My n5 bought directly from the play store was a breeze to RMA. Worth a day and $10 to me if needed.
If you live in Canada and buy the N9, is the price shown the Canadian price? As well, does it ship from Canada or do I have to pay duties as well?
Otherwise I may order from Amazon Canada to get around duties.
Google play, Best Buy, Amazon, HTC all charge tax in California
Is there a place to order from in order to avoid tax in California?
I haven't pre-ordered yet in hopes that I can just pick one up from my local Best Buy on the morning of the 3rd. Am I fooling myself thinking that they'll actually be in the stores on that day?

Same boat for NY. I'm more than likely just going to wait for some other vendor to pop up later that doesn't want to hit me for an extra 40 bucks for tax. Maybe an eBay vendor selling sealed.
I can't see nexus 9 in shops on the 3rd, that's why I ordered from Google play.
Hmm do you think Newegg is good? I don't have to pay tax with them.

My experience with NewEgg as a merchant has been positive, they're a serious online retailer (granted, it's being a long time since I purchase something from them).

US Buyer Reccomendation

I am in the US looking to buy one of these. Any recommended sellers?
From xperia blog they recommend Clove and Handtec from the UK. Handtec seems cheaper (vs ebay for perhaps better returns/warranty).
I'd appreciate any recommendations from people here who have purchased.
Handtec sells for $572. Ebay is closer to $540
If I do get it from ebay (from taiwan or HK), could I run into issues with languages?

I got one from clove. No issues.
Sent from my Nexus 5X
I purchased mines at Plemix for $520 + $28 shipping. Also purchased a Z1 compact there with no problems. Shipping was within 2 days so that's a plus. Currently, there's a free 32 GB memory card special until the end of the month. Haven't really had any issues with them and never really contacted customer service so I can't say anything about that. Not too sure about the returns/warranty but there's info about that on their website.
Thanks. Although from some quick research on Plemix I see some mixed reviews. I'm sure most of these places online are fine if everything goes smoothly. Its really when something goes wrong (ie. item arriving damanged, DOA) to see how it is handled.
I've also noticed that Amazon UK has it for cheaper than Clove and Handtec. The Xperiablog article said AmazonUK does not allow VAT to be excluded but it was excluded when I added it to the cart. Actually, I notice I can buy directly on Amazon US for around $540. I might just do that.

Isn't the one listed on amazon from third party retailers like expansys? I wonder how they handle returns just in case.. any idea??
I got mine from Amazon for $550 and received it next day thanks to Prime shipping. No issues.
I ended up ordering through amazon as well. I decided to save $10 and get the non-prime option. Although I ordered it Friday and it came today. I just wasnt at home to sign for it. (Missed the guy by 10min)
I think the only issue will be if I need to send it back for warranty. I'll have to pay shipping both ways to Hong Kong or Taiwan or wherever the phone originated from.

I live in Australia and have bought the z1 and z3 compact from Clove UK, have bought other tech from Handtek, had no problems or issues with using Australia cell provider, support or anything. I now have the z5 compact which I bought from ebay Quality Deals Store on Ebay when ebay had 20% off store wide recently, got it delivered for a bargain $600 AUD. The phone came quick, set it up in English easy and it works on Australian networks etc. Couldn't be happier ☺
Amazon was perfect for me. These past two weeks has it seldom carry the Z5c as Prime... usually a seller ships some 10 devices to Amazon's warehouses (to be categorized as Prime) but those fly off the shelves. In the past two weeks I have seem some 60 Z5c as Prime to disappear within hours, but if you look daily, they are there.
If you are in the US, at $550 Prime is worth it over ebay's $540 in my opinion; faster shipping and 30 days possibility to return it.
do you need amazon prime account for it? is this different from 3rd party sellers on amazon?
