Google has issued a brand new Android 5.1.1 Factory Image file that should patch the StageFright Security bug forever. If you want to install a clean Lollipop OS on your tablet, then you should check all the info listed in this post.
The StageFright Security bug should’ve been fixed with the previous LMY48I Android 5.1.1 release, but that didn’t happen as tons of Nexus 10 users have reported that the security vulnerability was still there. If you want to be sure that this bug is fixed, then you should flash the latest LMY48M firmware version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS on your tablet.
Installing a factory image on your will always remove all the data from your tablet and you should create backups before starting the flashing process. Read the following guidelines first:
use this post only with the Google Nexus 10 tablets.
– don’t try to update any other different tablets with the files that you will find in this post.
by installing this Android 5.1.1 LMY48M factory image you should know that the flashing process will remove all data from it.
– however, if your tablet is running a stock Android 5.1.1 LMY48I build that hasn’t been modified in any way, then you can use a small workaround in order to avoid the ‘factory reset’.
– more info on the update workaround can be found when you reach the tutorial instructions.
backup all the important files before starting the installation process.
enable USB Debugging for your tablet from its Developer Options menu.
– if you can’t find Developer Options under Settings menu, then you should enable it first: go to Settings> About Phone and tap 7 times on the Build Number section.
– return to Settings, scroll down, open Developer Options and find the USB Debugging option in order to enable it.
use this post only if you are an advanced user.
we cannot be blamed in case you end up losing any data in the process nor in case you brick your device.
check your Nexus 10 battery charge level and make sure that it is over 40%, it will prevent your device from powering down during installation.
read the whole tutorial and make sure that you won’t be skipping any steps, so that you will be able to complete the factory image installation at your first attempt.
I've used three different browsers to read this page in case I have some sort of content blocker active, and I see no tutorial in any of them...?
It's always nice to see people trying to help, and notifications of new ROMs are always welcome (though I installed LMY48M weeks ago), but there are already hundreds of tutorials showing how to upgrade a ROM - maybe you decided not to go ahead with the rest of your post?
With latest update 5.1.1 LMY48T my tablet powering OFF randomly. I had naver this issue before on 5.0.2 (( This update is piece of crap in my opinion

I've had the same problem, plus now I have battery issues. The tablet won't fully charge and will randomly turn off after some unknown time of use.
This update has killed my battery.
Beware of this update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT TOTALLY SCREWS YOUR NEXUS 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I´m reverting back to LMY47V because the newer updates are bricking my Nexus 10! I have flashed and reinstalled it 10 times by now, it just can´t handle this update! I think they did it for you to buy a new Nexus device by killing the Nexus 10!

Are you referring to build lmy48m or lmy48t?
I can't get to flash anything. Even after flashing another version, the old version just stays. I've tried everything. Formatting, erasing, downgrading, nothing works. I think my Nexus 10 is officially dead. It will boot up and like 1 minute after it just crashes and reboots again. I have read that others have this problem, could be that the motherboard is shot. Since there are no motherboards available, I can't even repair it. It lasted exactly 2 years, what a waste!
Well I just spent hours going through all the ota update from original jelly bean that it came with up to the latest lollipop build lmy48t and everything is working fine thus far.
Well, since a couple of days ago my P10 has stopped updating or being able to install new apps.
I've tried everything, clean caché of the Play Store, clean data, restart the device several times, disable auto-updates... but nothing worked.
The apps won't update and if I try to download a new app it won't download, it hangs when showing "updating" or "installing" but it never completes these processes. According to a Spanish forum I am not the only one suffering this behavior and it seems related to the new firmware B162. My phone is a free device (not related to any ISP brand).
Am I the only one with this problem?
Mine too same behaviour with B151,unbranded P10.All possible solution used and problem still excist.Clear cache, and restore store to previous version, even delete and re type google account, nothing happened...When trying to download an app keeps downloading forever and update an excisting app is not possible...Any way to warn Hua in order to deal with the problem,by releasing an update, because is a common issue with P10??

So if this also happens with older firmwares I should expect that a newer firmware could fix this issue, right?
Well, this is my first Huawei device, I got it months ago when they've just launched the model to the market, I got it without the oleophobic screen coating (huge disappointment) for some reason (the first units were dispatched without it) and now this. I though they were the most important Chinese mobile brand but I guess I am wrong and that maybe Xiaomi is far ahead
Hi, i have the same issue with my p10 firmware b151 brand Vodafone, but if i launch install of any app from playstore and then reboot my device, after reboot installation start and complete succefully.

It's really weird. Yesterday night I tried to install a new app, and it wasn't until this morning that it got installed (but after using the phone a few hours this morning).
I don't understand what triggers the update/install of the GooglePlay Store apps
Nothing worked for me,just factory reset last night, worked till 1 hour ago,and now same again!!No new installs or updates from store...Really frustrated now with Huawei....
Ive got the same problem. Reboot or switch network (wifi/Mobile) to get play store to start download.

So... If I rebrand it, will it still happen?
I don't have such problems on mine and I hope that I won't have to deal with it.
Quick sugestion:
Maybe it's not a phone failure, maybe it's a google app/server failure.
Try to check the google play services if it's outdated or whatever..try a new build..play around a bit with it and might work. I had that problem too, like I was not able to dowload anything nor login youtube etc. and it was due to services.
Hope you'll fix it !
Ok, I managed to fix it I think. My solution has been to wipe the terminal cache through the recovery mode of EMUI. (Holding volume up and power at the same time with the device turned off and just release those buttons when the Huawei logo appears)
For a regular user who doesn't even know what is the recovery mode and this kind of thing will be normal to achieve this

I'm on unbranded and it happens.
Also, https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/help/playstore-doesnt-download-update-t3663773 is an older thread regarding the issue.
downgrading to B150 solved this problem for me.

I am on B151 and still get this issue with play store...
I had the same problem the last 4 or 5 days...
I'm on B162 (P10)
I tried everything, but nothing seems to work: deleted play store oder play services data and cache, deleted Google account and login again, clear system cache, deleted play store and reinstall it
Nothing worked
But yesterday it started to download an updating my apps
Until now no problems
I don't know what it triggered so maybe, give it just time and wait a week until factory reset
Apps could be also updated or installed by apk
Quick question, can I install B162 without installing all the other firmware first? My phone is currently on B120 and there 'apprently' isn't an update available via the phone settings!
Having issues with WiFi download speeds not going over 30mbps yet my wife's P10, which is on B150, hits 110mbps.
B162 seeing the same issue today, suddenly can't download/update from google play store.
network is working, google account is working
is anyone still seeing the same issue ?
any fix now ?

Hello
I have Huawei mate 10 lite, and I recently upgraded to EUMI 8.0
after the upgrade I noticed a problem with google play store when I try to install or update an app, it says "downloading" and nothing happens for 20 to 30 mins, then the download starts.
This happens over wifi or Mobile data and I couldn't figure out the problem, so I did a Factory reset and the play store became fine for about 2 weeks, then yesterday the problem reoccurred !
Any help ?
Thanks
I know there was a thread on bricked mate 10 lite but im so confused...
I wanted to switch from 5.1 to 8.0 using firmware, everything was going great until i went to eRecovery
Download latest version and recovery - Package failed
Wipe data/factory reset - Takes me to a new screen with 3 options (reboot, factory reset, clear)
Reboot
Shutdown
Also loading screen changed to honor
Can you explain it to me like a 8 year old cause I don't know anything about TWRP and stuff like that
Background info:
My Mate 20 Pro stopped receiving updates several months ago, maybe almost one year.
I never got notifications about new updates, and searching for one was useless.
I figured I was stuck on 9.1.0.300 forever, for some reason.
Recently I finally got it "unstuck" and updated to the latest Android 10 version (as of writing) 10.0.0.206.
Here is how I did it.
DISCLAIMER: I am only describing what I did; maybe it will be useful information for someone.
==================================================
What I did, that finally worked, to update Mate 20 Pro to EMUI 10 (Android 10) from 9.1.300:
I went from 9.1.0.300 (down)-> 9.0.0.210 (up)-> 9.1.0.320 (up)-> 10.0.0.187 (up)-> 10.0.0.206
First two steps I did manually / hacked HiSuite, last two steps were official OTA through Wifi.
1 - First I downgraded from 9.1 to 9.0:
I followed this youtube video ,that is basically an explanation of this original XDA post
In the Youtube page's description there is a link to get a ZIP from Google Drive containing the older version of HiSuite, and the patcher for it.
So I downloaded and used those.
For the "update_full_base.zip" I downloaded the 9.0.0.210 from the XDA post (direct link for it here). Which is mentioned in the Youtube tutorial.
IMPORTANT!!: The install process on phone screen (progress circle) went smoothly, and the phone rebooted automatically (as expected);
BUT the boot screen Huawei logo was static, not oscillating or indicating any progress.
I waited a good 10 minutes and it did not move from that.
So I force-powered down the phone holding "vol up + power button" for several seconds;
It rebooted into a screen saying like "your files system is severely corrupted, recovering....."
Then it recovered successfully, and rebooted into a "brand new" 9.0.0.210 Android)
>I SKIPPED CHOOSING AN APN DURING ANDROID INITIAL SETUP!<
>I ALSO DID NOT CONNECT TO WIFI!<
>Skipped everything on initial setup, just to get to the home screen<
2 - Then same process all over again, with the same HiSuite and patch files, but different "update_full_base.zip", for 9.1:
I downloaded a 9.1.0.320 zip from the ONLINE FIRMWARE DATABASE https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database/
(for me specifically, I used LYA-L29C675E17R1P17B320 (9.1.0.320)) <- my phone is c635, this file is for c675, but I could bot find one for c635 lya-l29 9.1
DIRECT LINK TO THIS update_full_base.zip http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G4500/g1755/v319250/f1/full//update_full_base.zip if someone does not want to or cannot use the Online Firmware Database website.
IMPORTANT!!:
At the very end of the install process on the phone screen (the progress circle), install said "FAILED!", but then when the phone rebooted it had in fact been upgraded.
I had updated to a "brand new" 9.1.0.320.
3 - Minor update to 9.1.0.362:
On the phone itself I finally connected to Wifi for the first time (STILL SKIPPED APN);
checked online for update (on Settings), found a minor update to 9.1.0.362. Installed it.
Rebooted normally into 9.1.0.362.
4 - Finally updated to Android 10:
Checked Settings for update again (Wifi was already configured/connected), 10.0.0.187 was available;
downloaded/installed it.
I got finally to Android 10 (10.0.0.187)
5 - Minor update to Android 10.0.0.206:
After installation, just a couple of seconds after the reboot of the fresh Android 10, another even newer version (10.0.0.206) pop-up showed automatically, so I installed it too.
PS: Only after having installed the latest 10.0.0.206 version and booting into it, I enabled the correct APN from phone's Settings.
