Thanks a lot bro , will it work on global stable 7.3.7 ? I did a factory reset to get it back , but the categories are still missing , so installing this apk will fix the problem ?

You can copied a set of your favorite images into defaultimage folder and in wallpaper carousel in off-line mode as shown:

That's fine , but i didn't get you , is the apk chinese version or global version ? Also will it bring back the categories ?
It will fellow your system languages and it will standard in my global dev from, I only have off-line pictures and I replaced the locked screen carousel pictures.

Pretty sure we need a 5.1.1 base first as the rom is api 22. I have a custom 5.1.1 kernel which might help

But its not working on S6 even the N4 or any others Phone running on lollipop anyway i already convert all new QMG to PNG from N5 dump check thread & u can theme S6 kb to look like N5 lol but unfortunately ported N5 or S6E+ Apps its can't be ported ...

note 5 rom?
Is there any chance of someone creating a note 5 rom for most if not all variants of the note 4? I think I'll stick to my note 4 as I like having a removable battery and micro SD card and note 5 doesn't offer much more in the hardware side of things it's virtually the same camera a few differences and the screen is practically the same. S pen yh the clicky thing is cool I guess but not a major deal for me to want to get a note 5.
Only thing I'm interested in is the software features. Have been trying to get an S6 camera UI on the note 4 for a while love the new UI and wouldn't mind having the focus tracking feature assuming it doesn't need any hardware. I assume it'll have to be on 5.1.1 lollipop but isn't it possible to develop a 5.1.1 touchwhiz based rom for note 4?

So I've tried to got nougat working without needing to use updater app (without any success yet)
I decided to see what is working on mm and what doesn't.

I would try an older version as mentioned above, though I did a dirty flash to 6.11.24 and no problems with the messaging app.

Well, let's just see what happens when you flash an older version first. If it works, then you can try flashing to the newer version to see if it still works (though i would take a TWRP backup before dirty flashing the newer version just in case).
Is this possible? It's a feature I greatly appreciated when using the AOSP patch Rom.
Any help enabling this would be awesome. Thanks in advance

Agreed with the sentiment but as I mentioned in my first post, it's a feature I was using in the AOSP ROM that's based on the miui8 stock Rom.
I'm actually liking the miui9 Rom other than missing being able to listen to YouTube music whilst using Google navigation.
I'll just have to store more music on my local storage

You may have a point. It might have been something I found within gravitybox. I can't find the settings there now though
It is possible to use a "split screen" in aosp marshmallow, you activate that on developer options. But MIUI does not have that option.

I've just found the instructions after searching the forums. Thanks but I cannot get it to work.
I've edited build.prop and enabled the setting within developer options but the recent-apps screen doesn't have the needed icons.
Any ideas? Do I need to flash an alternative "recent apps" from another Rom perhaps? Where might I find info?
