Do you mean the new pixel phone? If so it's available on apkmirror.
You could write a gapps-config file and use it along with Open GApps to remove old pre-installed gapps and install the new ones.
Take a look at Open GApps - Advanced Features and Options - Removal of Stock applications
I've wrote a gapps-config for OOS 2.2 but it is outdated now (pre-installed gapps might have different paths). Take a look here.

Because aroma has some extra features
Maybe, if the our TWRP dev can add aroma compatibility
Here would be the official TWRP thread to ask such questions (already asked): https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...nofficial-twrp-3-0-2-0-recovery-onyx-t3471584
Have you tried an app? Like Idk flashify or something? Seems. Might be worth a go? Not sure never desired to do it lol

First uninstall all Google apps, then search YouTube and download & install it in miui app store and you will get Google play installed. If you don't have that app then try factory reset in rec and install opengapps again.

Don't use Aroma.
It's abselete and it installs stuff you don't want.
Reflash your ROM and then flash pico or nano GApps.

There hasn't been any development to aroma in over 5 years, if I remember correctly.
That's what I meant.
It also causes issues in some cases, exactly because it's so old and things have changed since.

I don't know.
That's why I told you to reflash the ROM first.
