Hi,
I have unlocked my phone's bootloader, installed TWRP and a new rom, but I would like to return to stock rom, recovery etc. like when I opened it for the 1st time. Is there any way to do it ?
My phone is EU unlocked.
Thanks in advance !
U must find on the internet backup of stock rom from your phone (~1GB) and restore it by TWRP.

hi all, New on the android device here. a couple noobie questions.. before I go try this...
so after doing the jail break, unlock n root method. it will land at the TWRP screen.( I saw on a youtube video)
does this means the stock rom is already wiped ? and I must install a rom before get the phone back to normal working mode ?
or the stock rom will be intact after the unlock and root jailbreak? ( and just do the reboot on twrp button ?)
thanks in advance
the stock rom will still be intact...unlocking allows you to flash custom roms/kernels. without unlocking you can not flash custom firmware without soft bricking the device. however you can still have root on a locked device.
Actually it will boot to the stock rom unless you hold power home vol up on boot. If you do that the first thing you do is use twrp to backup your stock to sd card.
Then you install a rom and it will boot to that new rom. Boot into twrp to restore to stock rom from backup......
Hi, I just flashed UK Retail firmware from here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231289 ) and I wanna go back to nonEIFGS Retail. How can i do that ? When I'm trying to flash an old firmware RSD fails and the phone remains in Fastboot.
It's impossible due to locked bootloader.
If there is no way back, can someone leave a tutorial on how to flash CM10.1 ? And if I flash CM10.1 it would be the only ROM in my phone or I need to keep the Stock too ?
PS: Forgive me but on my old phone things were simplier.
First of all - is your phone rooted? I assume it's not. So the first thing to do if you want CM 10.1 is rooting your phone. Then you should install boot menu manager or safe strap recovery. And with one of these tools you'll be able to flash cm or any other rom. It depends on you whether you want to keep your stock rom or just back it up and delete it.
Yes, my phone is rooted and I tried with BMM but when I booted with the custom rom nothing happend and the red let turned on.

You have to install BMM from google play...
Try booting with BPTools.
Hello,
I have a huge issue with my Z2. A month ago, I decided to try MIUI, after being bored by CM. And like a complete 'tard, I also downloaded DooMKernel because why not. New rom, new kernel, more ways to tweak my phone ! yay !
But no. I misread DooMLorD post, and didn't saw that it was ONLY for stock roms.
I discovered that after seeing my Z2 stuck in bootloop... wat.
So, I reflashed my previous CM11 rom (original ZIP, not a backup, via CWM). And it worked. But the bootloader decided to magically disappear. wat².
At the time, I didn't bother because I was in a rush (I am really stupid) and because, you know, if it works, don't fix it.
But as I write that lines, my phone won't send or receive messages, and have a HHUUUUUGE battery drain (Google Play Services making CPU run @100% all the time).
So I tried to install TWRP via their app, which is crashing at launch (my ROM is really, really f*cked up).
I don't know what to do.
Flashing a stock rom with Flashtool? Will it hardbrick my device as I unlocked my bootloader?
If needed, I have my TA backup.
If you could help me to get a recovery back, that would be highly appreciable.
Thanks !
if you are on unlocked bootloader, this should do it :
- flash stock ftf using flashtools
- flash @AndroPlus kernel using fastboot
- boot into recovery with vol down or up button (one is twrp other is cwm)
from here you can flash CM back and reboot the rom, once you fully boot go back to CM recovery and restore your backup.
good luck, good thing you have a backup before all the mess happened.
Thanks ! It worked.
I had to flash the kernel before the .ftf because Flashtool was giving me a error message.
But I now have a bootloader !
Many many thanks.
Hello there I have a couple questions regarding to the red honor boot logo and also on how to update from a stock rom with TWRP and root ( also a couple of system modifications ) to the new B331 update.
So heres the rundown, when I first got my honor 5x I did not spend too much time on the stock rom I went ahead and rooted my phone and installed TWRP then made a backup of my stock rom (B151) no modifications other than SuperSU being installed. After that I went ahead and installed CM13 nightlies and updated mostly everyday up until the build July-18-16. I had adoptable storage enabled with my 32GB SD card and I totally forgot to disable the adoptable option before I reverted to my stock backup so when I went onto TWRP and tried to restore my backup I always got an error where it said something along the lines " error; could not find system" but instead of it backing out it continued to restore and bricked my phone. I had a somewhat clever idea to flash any build of CM13 I had on my computer and guess what it booted then I disabled the adoptable storage and booted back onto TWRP restored my backup and everything was fine until it booted and I noticed the honor boot logo had a red "h". I found that weird since I have restored my backup previously and that never happened. Anyone knows what it could mean and how to fix it?
My second question is how should I go about updating to B331? Should I download the stock recovery B151 ( since that is what shipped with my phone and is what my backup is) then revert to my near stock backup, flash stock recovery and unroot then update through cslA's B331 instructions? Or should I somehow fix the red honor boot logo then go ahead with what I stated above or is this all done differently? I am not a newbie at these kind of things I just moved onto more important things in life and simply want to update my phone. My needs for flashing new roms daily are over and I just simply like huawei's UI as it just "works" for me. Thanks to anyone who responds anything is appreciated as I can't seem to get my old skills working again. Haha:laugh:
Fibgerprint aint working right? U cant go back to stock with just a normal twrp backup. Install an update.app through dload for your region and then apply the twrp backup.. Make sure you are on B151 Recovery!

No, my fingerprint is working... I just wanted to go back to stock ROM with root and that's what I got just now I have a red honor bootlogo. Now I want to update to marshmallow but I have a fear that even if I follow the steps onto reverting to stock I may brick it because of the red bootlogo.
So what you are saying is I should download my B151 recovery and firmware to revert to stock then update and from there I should root and install TWRP?
Hello guys, I am new in flashing world, so I wanted to know that in the process of rooting what if my phone will get bricked, is there any way to backup and restore current ZUI stock rom if my phone get brick? Although I think it isn't possible to install stock rom because the bootloader will be locked,so I just need a simple way to backup current stock rom and install it in the event of brick

Whole stock rom can be backup in custom recovery or via adb after getting root. Flashing custom recovery needs unlocked bootloader.
